"Why?" Ekansh asked, looking at the ring. His heart felt something, something he might suspect to be genuine endless love.

"Why what?" She asked, looking at him, confused.

Ekansh couldn't help but chuckle surprised "I mean... I am the one pursuing you... why are- why are you doing this?" He asked her sincerely.

He almost felt guilty, even though he did plan the whole treehouse thing, it was nothing compared to her ring. Her promise ring, that she had brought from the money she earned, which was used to spoil her family.

"And who exactly told you that?" She asked, taking a step back.

"Told me what?" He asked, the conversation flew out of his head as he was busy admiring her and was lost in his thoughts.

"Told you, that you were the only one?" She asked, the silly smile on her lips played as she walked back to her phone, turning the recording off.

"The one only?... Persuing..." He muttered the last word to himself, but Akshita's ears caught it, chuckling.

"I heard guys never get spoiled, like flowers, rings, cute handmade things, and you guys don't verbalize your needs for these things, so I thought why not?" She said, truthfully.

"You are...something..." He said, not believing his ears.

He thanked God for giving his mother such a great idea and wondered what punya (good deeds) he did in previous life.

"Come on..." She urged walking up the stairs to the tree house, it was obvious to her that he wanted to talk to her, and she sure does enjoy some deep conversations.

He hung his head low, chuckling, shaking his head. He was some lucky dude alright.

He walked up behind her, not missing the glisten in her eyes when she saw the interior of the treehouse.

The interior was just as beautiful, the small square room, lit with fairy lights. There was a shelf where some figures were placed and an emerald green carpet in the heart of the room. "Soo..." She dragged, sitting down comfortably on the carpet.

"What do you wanna do?" She regretted the words as soon as they left her lips as she closed her eyes, the top of her ears red as colourful thoughts entered her mind.

Ekansh couldn't help but smirk, "I don't know, you tell..." He asked continuing the teasing tone.

"Okay, who are your role models?" She asked, not knowing what to say. "Well. I'd say my dad..." Ekansh answers, surprised at the quick yet fascinating question as Akshita nods.

"Your turn," she said, "Well... I had only heard about your considerate nature, but now that I have witnessed it first hand," he says raising his hand flashing his ring, "How do you do it? Always be so, so nice?"

"You see, you haven't seen the whole of me yet... You know what, I'll be freaking honest with you..." She said, sitting straighter as if she'd reveal the password to the atom bomb.

"I am a chemelion, figuratively of course, You see me with my friends, I am different. See me with my family, I'm different. See me in some random social gatherings, you wouldn't even know I could speak so much. It's not that I have double faces and I am fake with everyone or something..." She explains as Ekansh hears attentively.

"See, this is me..." She says, drawing a circle with her finger on the velvet carpet, her finger trails darkening as the direction of the fibers changed.

"These are some of my qualities, like Kindness, Rage, Rudeness etc etc" she said, drawing smaller circles in the circle.

"This is my family," she said, drawing a square out of the large circle. "I would want only some qualities like Kindness and Compassion to be here, I wouldn't want rudeness and rage here." She said pointed at the smaller circles and the square.

Ekansh nodded, his eyes narrowing which indicated Akshita that he didn't quite understand it. "Okay, listen," she said, scraping her drawing off the velvet cloth, making it even.

"I've got 2 friends, Friend A and Friend B" she said, as she nods like a child, determined to understand.

"A is more on the serious and responsible side so I know I can be a bit silly and goofy around as I have trust that they'll keep me in check," Ekansh nodded, his eyebrows rising in understanding.

"B however, is more on the silly side, so I know I have to keep them in check. I'll be more serious with them and keep them in check." Ekansh nodded.

"So say I were to meet both of them in a party, A would think I was just acting silly in front of them and B would think that I am more friendly with A as I am more goofy with them."

Ekansh nodded, "Makes sense..." "Yeah, so see, I am not keeping double faces I just want to show some parts of myself, I wish to be seen."

"That's sad, so you've never had someone love the entirety of you? The rage, the kindness, the companion the rude, no one has ever seen the whole of you?" He asked, feeling somewhat sad.

How could such a beautiful human being in and out have had to hide parts of herself?

The question took Akshita in surprise as she just looked into his eyes for a while, he was right. All these years she spent being perfect for others. As the realisation hit her, her hands lowered.

"Damn, that was deep..." She said not knowing what to reply as the silence made her doubt her entire life.

[Dare you to go and read the third quote in the first aesthetic image of Akshita. Trust me, it's gonna hit hard.]

"Well, you don't need to worry, I know just the right person who'll do that," he says trying to lighten the mood.

"And who's that?" She asked continuing the teasing tone.

This is what Ekansh loved so much about Akshita, she would always continue the tone, instead of scolding him or calling him shameless like a witch in his past did.

"You know, the one with the hazel eyes which are always looking into yours..." He says looking into her eyes with deep emotions, Akshita chuckled breaking the eye contact as his gaze was too intense to hold.

"You sure know how to make people smile," she said, shaking her head.

"Well... It's an expertise that I keep reserved for my girlfriend." He says pressing the last word as a blush creeps up on Akshita's face. She folds her lips in her mouth, hanging her head low as she feels her cheeks heat up.

"Uf, it's getting hot in here, why don't we go out for some fresh-" she asked but Ekansh interrupts standing up, giving her a hand, "Whatever makes my lady's cheeks cool down," he teases as Akshita pinches his bicep.

"Ow!" He mumbled, rubbing his bicep, "That freaking hurts!" He said looking at her shocked, "It was supposed to, love." She says as she walks in front of him down the stairs.

Ekansh quickly patted his cheeks, which felt as if they were on fire, "It's just a freaking nickname Ekansh chill the fuck down." He said to himself but the 'Love' in her sweet voice echoed in his ears.

"Look who wants some fresh air to cool their checks down now?!"
