Author's POV

He looked back at her one last time before opening the door and closing it quietly. He noticed Abhimaan and Dushala, missing. His parents, followed by his uncle and aunt were sitting on the dining table chairs, talking to Amarpal and Rasika sitting on the sofa about the rishta as Anumita stood at the end of the hallway leaning on a wall and Jashith sat on the rocking chair.

Mridhula and Anuraag were in their own world

as Mridhula was showing Anuraag the new ASL vocabulary she had learned, while he was correcting her here and there amazed by her learning.

"Dekheyi, I know my sister and believe me when I say she is very mature, more than me I can say... So if she agrees to this then I have no objection, but if she doesn't, then I am afraid I'll not agree." Amarpal says calmly. "Aree wahi toh baccha, agar Akshita na bolgi toh we will respect her decision, par tumhe kya lagta hai? Ha boligi vo?" (That's what child, if Akshita says no, then we respect her decision, but what do you think? Will she say yes?)

Ekansh eavesdrops on the conversation, "Par aunty, Kya Ekansh ki tarafh se ha hai kya?" (But Aunty, is it a Yes from Ekansh's side?) Amarpal asks as Ekansh comes out into the hallway.

"Ha. Meri tarafh se ha hai Bhai Sahabh." (Yes, it is a yes from my side, Brother-in-law) he replies, removing a chair from the dining table, and sitting on it.

Amarpal chuckled at him, "Even after that?"

"Especially after that."

"Akshita kaha hai beta?" Sharani asks, not surprised at his confession.

"So rahi hi maa, she had a fight with Amarpal for a dare, she was tired..." he says, facing up to his mother.

"She slept?!" Amarpal asks, suddenly copncerned. Akshita doesn't never sleep in anyone's presence, and especially not Ina stranger's. Amarpal wondered, glaring at Ekansh.

'How did she?'

"You punched her..." Ekansh said in a 'duh' tone.

Amarpal looks at Anumita and Jashith, sharing a look. He runs over to the bedroom and opens the door slowly.

"Kon jeeta?" Sharani asks excitedly, "Akshita." he says chuckling at his mother's excitement. "Ye hui na baat!" (That's the spirit? Idk how to translate this)

She sighs, "Mene bola tha na? Akshita tere liye kitni acchi hai, par tumhe bhi use uska acche se khayal rekhna hai! Samjhe?" (I told you right? Akshita is such a great match for you, but you have to take care of her! Understood?)

Amarpal came out of the room, "She is sleeping-" "Dad! Bade Papa! There was a security breach at the HQ base, we haven't found the culprit yet but Vikas believes it's a mole- Dad, Bade Papa, Ekansh we must leave..." he urges looking at his phone furiously tapping his thumps on the screen.

"Jashith ji sorry par hame jana hai-" "Aree aree rehnedo chalo chalo, app jayie, khayal rakheyien!" (Jashith ji, sorry but we have to leave- Don't mention it, take care!) He walks them out as they leave in a hurry.

Ekansh didn't care about his company right now, nor did he care about the security breach the only thing on his mind was Akshita but he knew that right now, he had to take his CEO mask out and deal with the security breach so he cancels those thoughts, informing his assistant, Vikas to get some files ready.

Aadhirath, Satyajeet, Abhimaan and Ekansh flew  to Mumbai, where the Malhotra Enterprise headquarters. . The ladies were dropped home.

On the private jet, Aadhirath asked Ekansh about his thoughts on the breach. It seemed they knew exactly where the intel was. It must have been a mole, but combing through hundreds and thousands of staff is not a simple task either.

"Dekho beta, Akshita ke berain mai tension mat lo, ab iss mamle ko suljhao..." (Son, don't worry about Akshita right now, solve this problem for now) Satyajeet advised Ekansh, who smiled knowingly.

He went through all the files, overviewing all the information.

The next day early morning they reached Mumbai.

"Abhimaaaannnn! Get upp! We've landed!" Ekansh screamed at the top of his lungs, knowing how much of a heavy sleeper Abhimaan was.

He went over to his cabinet. The bed was empty.

He looked out and around, Satyajeet came in looking at Ekansh, "Kya hua beta?" (What happened?) "Chote papa, Abhimaan kaha hai?" (Uncle, where is Abhimaan?) "Aree Ekansh ab vo vesa na raha, dekho vaha..." (He's not the same Abhimaan anymore, look...) he says pointing to the breakfast corner table. "Biwi ka phone call tumhara chillane se jyada asardar hai beta," (Wife's phone calls are more effective than your shouting,) he says, chuckling at Ekansh, whose face dropped into a frown pout.

At the Rai's

"Akshita... Akshita..." she heard her brother's concerned voice, "Hmm... Thik hu, bas..." (Hm... I am fine, it's just) she yawned, "...bas thak gayi hu, subah se kam kar rahi hu na..." (It's just that I was tired, I've been working since the morning...)

"Sari-sari, sumne malgagko, AC on madtene..." (Okay, okay, Sleep peacefully, I'll on the AC...) he says, turning the AC on.

"Naan hogtene, yen idre kari ha?" (I'm going now, if you want anything then call me, okay?) he says, placing a chaste kiss on her forehead as she falls back into her beauty sleep.

Amarpal comes out of the room as the Malhotras rush out of the house. The Rais come back in after leaving them off. All of them are seated on the sofa.

"I think he's a good man, even his family..." Anumita says, "Hmm, I think Akshita didi is fond of him too- I don't know but!" Anuraag defends himself. "Well, only she can tell, she has been working since the morning, let her sleep in our room, she'll wake up later." he says the last sentences to Rasika, who agrees without hesitation.

Akshita woke up, her head ringing, she opened her eyes, and the sun setting was seen from the window as the clock showed 6 pm.

She looked at her knee, a whole bandage was used on her knee, as far as she remembered it wasn't such a big wound, but she kept it on, anyway.

She sat, her back resting on the bedrest. Closing her eyes, she remembered the events that had occurred after everyone else had left. She remembered being laid down by Ekansh as he attended to her wounds, a small smile played on her lips.

The court of her soul was in action again and after half an hour, her soul gave the verdict that she just had a crush on Ekansh because he was a handsome, gentlemanly guy who had nice muscles and some interesting things behind him like everyone does.

And with that, she left the room, closing the door behind her. She noticed her family sitting on the sofa, whispering, discussing something, "Pakka?" (Promise/You sure?)

"Yen discussion agta ide illi?" (What discussion is going on here?) she asks, startling all of them as they look here and there to avoid her gaze, except Anumita who called her to sit down with them.

"Dekho beta, humse galti ho gayi, maf karde, humne nahi socha tha ki baath itni badh jayegi-" "Are Amma sariagi helu munche, amel sorry..."

(Listen, my child, We've made a mistake, forgive us, we didn't think it would escalate this much- Oh, mother, first tell me everything properly, then sorry.)

Anumita sighed, looking down and then giving her a look that Akshita knew all too well the 'you have another rishta' look.

Akshita raised her brows, indicating she understood her, asking for who it was.

Anumita's breath hitched as Akshita's eyes narrowed, "Ekansh."

The entire room fell silent as Akshita's brows raised in surprise. Her face broke into a smile as a scoff erupted from her throat.
