Concerns and Hopes

Izuku was walking down the halls with Kota keeping pace with him. The events of the past week still weighed heavily on both boys' minds.

Having just received an announcement that the principal wanted to see him. Izuku took his leave without hesitation, with the stresses of Shino and his lack of sleep, staying focus in class was becoming difficult. His only real focus was Kota, making sure he got to rest and was fed. He was Izuku's desperate attempt to get his situation back to normal.

Opening the door to the principal's office, Izuku was created by the hybrid-intelligent animal that was Nezu.

"Ah, Midoriya, so glad you can come at short notice. I hope that I didn't disturb your studies?"

"No sir, nothing I can't study later on today." Izuku kept an upbeat attitude that was not like him, just to remain professional.

"Good. Good. I summoned you here today to discuss a certain matter. Regarding the young lady that you rescued last week."

"Eri."

"Ah, so that's her name. Well, you see, Eri has been having many complicated issues once she was under our care. Eraserhead and the other faculty have tried to maintain contact but the girl is unresponsive. We can't send her to foster care as her mental stability is not balanced, so her quirk can go off as a flight or fight response."

"And what does have to do with me?" Izuku asks a bit impatiently. Kota looked at Izuku with confusion.

"You see, we have been observing her. When she sleeps she calls out your name, your hero name that is. So we concluded having you try to quell this young lady."

Izuku had a far-away look in his eyes. He remembered the girl but to his guilt, Eri was not on his mind these past several days. Only Kota and Shino.

"I see. Well, where will you have me go?"

"Oh, she is on the top floor of the building. Make sure to announce yourself. Room 455 AB." Nezu smiles as he sips his coffee.

"Alright then can Kota stay with you in the meantime?"

"What?!" Kota exclaims.

"You heard me, Kota," Izuku says sternly.

"But why?" Kota flinched at his hero's tone.

"Because Eri doesn't know you. If something were to go wrong, I won't be able to forgive myself if you got hurt." Izuku says as he knelt and looks his dependent in the eyes.

"But I can come, you know, to have your back," Kota says in protest.

Izuku shook his head. "Thank you, but it's better this way. I don't want her to get provoke and you to get hurt. Sosaki-San wouldn't forgive me if her only nephew was in danger."

"And it's okay for you?"

"Kota, I am training to be a hero. It's part of the job. So just do me this favor okay. We can leave early today and visit Sosaki-San."

"Alright..."

"Good. I will see you in a bit."

Traveling up the stairs, Izuku wanted to think of an approach. He didn't know if Eri remembered him, but it was worth a shot.

Going to the 400th floor, Izuku made his way to the room. It was different from the other doors, this one being smaller and more average person size. Peaking through the screen, it was a room, a bedroom. A nice folded bed in the corner and light blue painted walls with already colors and drawings on it. A large window with a clear view of the city it would have been beautiful at night.

In the middle was young Eri, laying on her stomach drawling in the blank sketchbook. Izuku smiles, at least she was keeping herself occupied.

Knocking on the door to get her attention. Eri looked up in fear, her distress warranted Izuku to be careful.

"Eri?" Izuku asks patiently.

The little girl's eyes widen in surprise. "Deku?"

"Yes, it's me. Can I come in?"

Seeing Eri nod through the screen window, Izuku opens the door and meets the young girl again. Walking towards her, Izuku kneels before Eri jump-hugs him. Catching the girl as she cries into his arms. Her head on his shoulder, wailing out in relief. Izuku smiles while making circles on her back.

After a couple of minutes, the two broke away with Eri still being held by Izuku.

"Deku? What happened? You didn't come back?"

"I know, I am sorry Eri. I can't make up any excuses for not coming to see you sooner, you don't have to forgive me."

Eri shakes her head. "No, your here. It's better now."

"Thank you," Izuku says as he pats her head.

"Listen Eri I wanted to ask if you wanted to come with me?"

Eri looks confused before realizing that she would get to leave. Nodding, Izuku looked around the room and asked her if there was anything she would want to take with her. The sketchbook and colored pencils were the only things that were taken from that room.

With Eri being carried by Izuku, the two made their way towards the principal's office.

"Eri, you're gonna meet someone. He isn't a bad person but he is a little uncomfortable with meeting new people. Do your best to be friends with him, okay?" Izuku asks as he puts her down.

"O-Okay." Eri nods.

"Alright," Izuku says to himself before opening the door to be greeted by Kota.

"Izuku." Kota greets, running towards him.

Hugging the teen, Kota didn't see Eri until after he broke the hug. The white-haired girl looked scared but turned into a curious look at the boy. Izuku introduces the children to each other. Both of them said hi, Eri was a little more nervous while Kota was reluctant.

Breaking his gaze from the children, Izuku turned to Nezu. "Principal, I would like to request Eri to be staying with me in the dorms."

"Right on topic. I like it. That is all well and good but we will need to relocate you to allow space for three occupants."

Izuku shook his head. "That's fine Principal, the children can keep the bunk." Nezu hummed at the idea but if it didn't affect Izuku's studies or the children's wellbeing then it was allowed.

Giving guardianship over the young lady was granted. Izuku would take the children to Class 1A but made Eri and Kota wait outside.

"Midoriya, glad you can join us."

"Excuse me Sensei, I need to get back to the dorms."

"What for?"

"It's regarding Eri."

The man stood and looked at the children in the doorway. Eri retreated to the side as Kota stood nonchalantly as per usual.

"I see, well grab your stuff. Have someone issue you the assignments and have it turned in tomorrow."

"Thank you Sensei." Izuku bows before going to his desk to retrieve his stuff. He caught the eyes of everyone in the class but they didn't matter to him.

Izuku took the children to the dorms and helped Eri get situated. Having Kota sleep in the top bunk while Eri sleeps in the bottom. Izuku...well he decided to make some money and buy a futon. But considering he was tight on money due to the recent investments in Kota's wellbeing and happiness(something Izuku didn't even mind). He was now accountable for two children. So money was going to be a difficult thing to manage.

Maybe finding a job on campus? That would be efficient, less distance to travel but who would look after the children? He certainly couldn't leave them alone.

The rest of the day was more so focus on tidying up the room. Grabbing a bag, Izuku stuffed his All Might merchandise; posters, action figures, wallets, bathroom products, etc. anything that could get him some money. Luckily with some of the limited editions of merchandise, he could get some quick adequate cash.

He couldn't keep relying on his mother anymore, this was his responsibility, the hospital bills were starting to take a toll. Besides, once he was a hero, he can get insurance for hero related injuries and money would make things easier.

That moment, the room was far less packed. Only the desk, a couple of dressers, and bunk beds remain.

"Why are you putting them in the bag?" Kota asks.

"I need to sell these." Izuku

Kota knew that Izuku is a big fan of All Might, so hearing him say that he needed to sell the merchandise was a surprise but didn't question him.

Eri was taking her place on the bunk. Watching the scene played out. Izuku looked different compared to the way he acted that day. This time, he was more calm and collected. Looking over at the other boy, how the boy stuck close to Izuku, it made her feel something uncomfortable.

"Well, that takes care of that. Let's have lunch, have you eaten yet Eri?"

The girl shook her head. "Alright then, let's get downstairs and I will cook something."

Izuku wasn't a great cook, but just enough to get by. Cooking for two meals was normal for him, another mouth wouldn't be difficult. The dorms always restock the fridge every three days. So there was a constant amount.

Once lunch was served, Izuku took in relief as Eri and Kota ate happily. Though Eri was the hungry one out of the three, offering her seconds which she thanked.

The meal was quiet, aside from the silverware picking, cutting, and carrying the food. Izuku kept his mind occupied with the woman who had his interests. She, laying in the hospital bed, still unconscious. Every day it was getting harder and harder for Izuku to concentrate. His life boiled down to training, eat, tend to Kota(and now Eri), study, eat, visit Shino, and going to sleep. In recent days, his classmates wondered about his behavior, his distance towards them, all were at the very least curious. Some tried to get him to talk but Izuku wouldn't speak. Too stressed to have any kind of small talk to his peers but Kota(and now Eri)? He would be happy to oblige.

Maybe it was because their age reminded him of a simpler time of his life. Sure it wasn't as good as the bullying from Katsuki but it was way better compared to the guilt and misery that Izuku was bagging on himself.

He knew that Mirio was never coming back. There was nobody to be found, just a pile of blood and gore remained. Shino was in a coma that for all he knew that could last for years. The fact that he almost died a pretty gruesome fate still struck a core in his fear. Izuku felt paranoid, like everything he touches will get hurt in the way or another due to his mistakes.

That didn't help the nightmares...

In the small number of hours he slept, he dreamt of people ridiculing him, blaming him for the actions he took and the consequences that befall those he cared about. He dreamt about that night battle with Katsuki, how it was Kota being the one to be impaled and not him. Dying and suffering in a small pool of his blood.

Or that day with Chisaki, it was Eri to be one who suffered his fate. Her limbs were blown to pieces as she cried out for him.

Then Shino...what if she wasn't rescued by Eraserhead in time. Izuku would watch in helpless horror as she reverted to nothing but a fetus.

The times he woke up in sweat and terror made him tired. So much so, he took naps at odd hours of the day. Even during visitations with Mandalay. Or even a small fraction after training.

Speaking off...

The training was not going well. Izuku's body was also reverted, from what he assumed to be was before his body got used to Full Cowl, because now, every time he tried that technique, not only would it not work but cause him immense pain. Maybe a side-effect from being reverted before death and the many times Eri helped him.

So he stuck with training his body by itself.

Once lunch was cleaned up. Izuku had gotten the children ready as he was going to the mall to get Eri some new change of clothes. While the school gave her some clothes they weren't casual based.

Izuku was thankful that nothing happened along the way to the mall. Sure he got some looks from other people. He didn't change out of his uniform and some people recognize him for the battle with Chisaki and other previous endeavors.

Once they got to the clothing store, he requested help from the clerk who knew what she was doing. Picking outfits that were not only to Eri's comfort but money-saving.

Izuku had bought five outfits. Making sure that there was enough for the week. Though he would need to get more. He didn't know much about female fashion desires but he knew that their fashion, from comparison to his male fashion history, was more expensive.

Through all of these Kota trotted along in silence. Never voicing his disappointment or annoyance about Eri. While the girl was older than him, she acted more scared than he ever was. Granted he didn't know her past which Izuku had taught him to never judge a person's behavior on the basis it was always like that, to begin with. There was a reason for Eri's anxiety to be warranted but Kota was too young to be patient and understanding of said patience.

Eri was happy and pleased that she got to spend time with Deku, her feelings of isolation from him made her all the more scared and confused but now, while still a bit nervous about going outside, was happy to be near her hero.

Deciding that was enough for one day. Izuku brought the kids to the hospital with him. He was visiting Shino again.

Upon entering the hospital, Izuku's mood dropped. Eri and Kota saw the uncertainty and guilt-ridden on his face. Walking to the room, having memorized the visitation hours by now, he went inside and set up three chairs for three of them.

Setting the shopping bags aside, Izuku removed his uniform jacket and left it hanging on his seat. Eri and Kota took their spots in their respective chairs.

"Eri, meet Mandalay. A great pro hero who was there at your rescue." Izuku greets the young girl to the unconscious Shino. Kota was looking at his auntie with hopeful eyes. He knew she would wake up, she is stronger than this. This wouldn't take her down. Eri bows her head to the unconscious woman. Izuku smiles as she leans forward and stares at Shino, waiting for her to wake up.

In the passing of hours, Izuku handed his phone to the two children. There were taking turns playing a game called "Among Us". Eventually, the pair fell to sleep from the wait. Izuku had remained awake. He put his uniform jacket over the pair of kids who were now sharing a seat. The jacket was enough to keep them warm from the cool hospital temperature.

"Shino-San. Today was eventful, I met Eri again. She wasn't as responsive to the other heroes but Nezu wanted her to be under my care. We went out shopping for the day, got her a couple of outfits. The kids are at least getting along. Though I don't know how long that will last..." Izuku pauses his summary of the day to Shino. His eyes closed and breathed a heavy sigh. He was sure that he would have gotten used to it by now. Coming her, telling her about her nephew and himself and how they were doing. But it's not...

"I don't know if you can hear me. Pretty sure you can't. But if you are, please know that I am doing my best for Kota. He will be so happy when you wake up. Every day he tells me that "maybe today is the day". I appreciate his hope, it's a comfort nowadays."

Silence met him, Izuku saddens expression came forth.

"I am so sorry, I should have done a better job. Mirio-Senpai passed away due to my actions and you here laying in a hospital bed. Please wake up, Kota needs you."

I need you. Izuku thought to himself as his attraction for the heroine came forth. His logic was withering nowadays. He was tired, paranoid, and even doubtful of the circumstances now. So much so, he grasps her hand and gently kissed it.

I am pathetic. Pathetic. What right did he have to do that? To have wishful thinking that she would return his desires, he put her in that bed. Now he was pleading for more.

In the days leading up to now, it was ritual for Izuku to talk about the day he had since Shino was in the hospital. Every day was harder than the previous for him to think about his feelings towards the heroine. Setting her hand down, Izuku chastised himself for such an action. Leaning back but looking at the unconscious woman's face. He felt guilt running over him like a train. He so desperately wanted a release. A way to forget this misery but nothing worked. So instead, he aimed to just deal with it silently. Hoping he will get better with it on time.

Once the visitation hours were done, Izuku carried the children and Eri's new clothes to the dorms. He took his time, to be exhausted by his own emotions and mental strain.

Upon arriving at the dorms. The children woke up and opted to walk, well Eri still wanted to be in Izuku's arms.

His classmates, some of them were still in the main lobby. Most of the girls were there talking on one of the couches while a few of the guys remained, playing video games on the television set.

Ochako, the first one to notice him. "Deku-kun! Where have you been, you left so suddenly."

Izuku gives an apologetic smile. "Sorry, I was busy doing errands and visiting Mandalay."

Ochako's smile faltered before rising again. "Oh! Why didn't you call? I would have joined you. I bet it was quiet without the company, right?"

Izuku shakes his head. "It's alright Uraraka-san, I was out doing other things as well."

Ochako notices the little girl in his arms. The brunette confused approaches the trio. "Hello, who are you?" Ochako greets in a kind voice, something that Izuku witnessed many times whenever women greet Kota and today, Eri.

Eri, as a natural response, shies away into Izuku's uniform top. The little girl scared, Izuku set down the bags and held her closer, rubbing circles on her back.

"Sorry about Uraraka-San, she is not used to strangers."

"Oh, I am sorry!" Ochako realizing she is making the little girl scared, apologizes strongly.

"It's okay, Eri is just not used to anyone besides me and maybe Kota." Izuku shared a look with the boy standing next to him.

The brunette gave an apologetic smile. Izuku nods and excused himself to his bedroom. Getting ready for the evening hours, Izuku made space in the dresser for Eri's undergarments and put the clothes in his closet except for a pair of pajamas for the little girl. Izuku grabbed a simple t-shirt and some sweats, Kota grabbing the same, leaving his hat in the bedroom.

The three made their way to the bathroom, Izuku had Eri go first and showed her how to turn on the showers and which bottles were shampoo and body wash. Leaving Eri inside, Izuku closed the door as Kota sat on the bed with his new change of clothes next to him.

"Are you okay with this?" Izuku asks Kota while sitting down on his desk chair. The boy shrugs. "I don't know, I mean she isn't annoying, which is alright I guess."

Izuku nods in understanding, relief went into his lungs, he was glad that Kota didn't hold any reservations about the third member of their room. Izuku was getting concerned since Eri was a girl, who will need her own privacy. So making accommodations as best he could be a top priority.

The goal was for Eri to get used to life in U.A. Otherwise she won't be comfortable in the outside world. He will be there to help her. As best he can.

Once Eri was done, she called for Izuku for help. Unexpected, Izuku came into the bathroom and found her still in the tub with the water afloat, edging over the tub.

"What happened?" Izuku asks.

"The water won't go down," Eri says in worry.

"Let me see..." Izuku rolls his sleeves up and checks the plug, it was removed. Moving his hand inside the tube, he pulled out a chunk of hair. White hair. Looking over at Eri, Izuku didn't realize that she sheds hair. It looked the same as normal.

"It's hair Eri, your hair. Make sure to comb your hair once you finish drying off." Izuku says as he throws her shedding hair in the trash bin.

"Could you do it?" Eri asks, Izuku looks at the girl. Her hair soaked. Noticing how long it was. Izuku nods. "Dry off first and change into your clothes," Izuku says as he exits the bathroom. Going into his drawers, he finds a comb that was a gift from Kirishima for his curly hair. Izuku never used it, as he wasn't the type to be focused on his looks.

Once Eri was done with the shower, Kota went in. Izuku had Eri sit down on his lap while he used the comb to straighten out the messy locks of hair. Izuku did his best to make sure he wasn't hurting her but there were a few rough rugs that needed to be done. Once he was done, he saw the wet hair looked thinner, he looked at the comb to be a mess of hair, almost entangled all over his fingers.

Maybe next time he would ask one of the girls to borrow their brushes or just have them brush Eri's hair(if she allowed it).

Having an extra towel, Izuku dried her hair thoroughly, something Eri enjoyed. The little girl was comfortable with the teen.

Once Kota was done, Izuku took his turn and quickly cleaned himself before dressing into his casual sleepwear. After that, it seemed it was time to eat. The trio made their way down to the lobby. Everyone was there in their clicks while Izuku made his way to the kitchen. Some eyed him but gave a friendly greeting or gesture, Izuku returned it. The girls were swarming the Eri once they got to the kitchen, all of them asking about her. Albeit, Mina and Tooru were the more lively of the bunch as Ochako kept her distance while telling Momo and Tsuyu about earlier.

Izuku didn't need to say anything as Eri cried out in terror and leaped at Izuku. The teen caught her in open arms.

The room was drawn to the noise. Izuku looked at his classmates for stating. "Everyone, this is Eri. She... doesn't do too well to strangers so don't ask her too many questions."

"Oh my god, I am sorry Midori! Eri! I didn't know." Mina recoiled at her behavior while Toor backed away to show some distance.

Izuku shook his head, he knows none of them didn't mean it. "It's nothing to be sorry for, just keep that in mind okay?" The teen turned away and sat Eri on the counter. Her being did not want to be seen by so many others.

Izuku noticed this and got her attention. Both children's attention. "What do you guys want for dinner?"

"Can you make Katsudon?" Kota asks, Eri gives a puzzling question. "Katsudon?"

"Yea, it's one of Izuku's best foods." Kota says in confidence, Eri wows at this, giving Izuku an expression of "can I try it"?

Izuku smiles before nodding. He got to cooking and thankfully none of his classmates had eaten yet. Cooking for the kids, Izuku made sure that Eri got a bit more since she was unhealthy thin for a child. The pair were sitting on one of the lobby tables. Izuku had taken his place next to Kota, something Eri didn't like.

Both kids ate silently, Izuku took the time to noticed the room. It became quieter. Izuku noticed his old click, the one with Shoto, Tenya, Ochako, Tsuyu, and even Momo. They all didn't say much to each other, obviously worried about the greenette. What could they say? They tried reaching out to him but he wouldn't respond. The closest ones to relate to him was Tenya and Shoto, simply because they could've died against Stain. This time was different, Izuku may have won and defeated Chisaki, but the reality was that hadn't been for Eri, he would be dead overdue now. Sure he technically "lived" through the experience but something died within Izuku that day.

Izuku didn't smile anymore. At least not like how he naturally did before the Chisaki incident. He would only do so for the kids or put up a small sad smile for anyone else. He didn't have the emotional fortitude to smile and say everything was going to be alright to himself anymore. He was constantly relying on Kota and now Eri as his hope.

Dinner ended with the kids soon. Izuku collected their plates and utensils. Before going to the sink, Kota asked if he could play video games to which Izuku accepts but has Eri go along with him. With a noticeable grumble, Kota reluctantly takes Eri along and the two make their way for the television.

Izuku did his part of finishing the dishes which did not last long. He was greeted by Shoto in the kitchen, the bi-hair-colored teen was getting ready to eat dinner.

"Midoriya."

"Todoroki, how was class?"

"Nothing too difficult, but you missed an announcement. The school's festival is coming up a month from now. Just think you should know."

"Oh really? Is our class going to do anything?" Izuku asks as he puts away the dish soap and drying his hands.

"We all voted to have a concert. Figured it would be great to lift the spirits." Shoto smiles at Izuku.

"That sounds nice."

"Your part of the dance crew."

"Really? Okay then." Izuku says with that same low-energy.

"Is everything alright?" Shoto asks with concern.

"Everything is fine. It's fine." Izuku says as he breaks away from the conversation.

"You know we're here for you. I don't know what happen that day, all we got was from the news. Sensei wouldn't tell us about you or Mandalay-Sensei."

"It's nothing Todoroki, everything is fine."

Dismissed again, Shoto felt a sense of frustration but he didn't display it. This week, it was difficult seeing a friend suffering by himself. "Midoriya, you said a hero has to get into the business of others. What you are going through, I can't imagine but you don't have to deal with it yourself~"

"Todoroki, I am fine. I am doing okay. Thank you for your concern but I can deal with it. Just give me time." Izuku states, his friend faltered in his insistence but respected Izuku's decision.

"Very well. See you around."

Izuku nods before the taller teen walks away back to their click. Out of the corner of his eye, Izuku saw the worries grew on Ochako and Momo. Tenya remained stern while Todoroki and Tsuyu held straight faces. Sighing to himself, Izuku walked to the couch where Eri was being taught by Kota how to play Smash Bros Ultimate.

Taking a seat next to Eri, he patted her head and asked her if she was okay. Eri nods before Kota explains the rest of the mechanics of the game and Izuku watches the two children play for the rest of the evening before bedtime.

Come curfew, Izuku took the kids and got them settled in. Kota taking the top bunk with Eri taking the bottom. Izuku was playing on staying late to get his assignments done thanks to Momo telling him.

Kota was fast asleep, ready to get up the next day. Eri wasn't so eager.

"Izuku?"

Drawing his attention away from his assignment, Izuku turns to the dim room, the little girl peering out from the edge of the bed. Getting up slowly as to not wake Kota. Izuku crept quickly and kneeled to the side of the bed.

"Yes, Eri? What's the matter?"

The little girl's eyes made him sad as she quivered underneath the bed covers. Her eyes stared almost tearing up.

"It's that man. I always see him when I sleep. He comes after me."

Chisaki. Izuku's mood angered beneath that fearful voice.

"I keep seeing him do that to you. Over and over again..."

Her voice shakes with each word as if reliving the memories before her very eyes. Izuku reaches his hand and strokes her hair and using his thumb to wipe away her tears. He couldn't imagine seeing something gruesome let alone being subjected to abuse and torture at a young age. He was glad that the whole sequence of him dying in pain was not aired. Otherwise, it may have scared Kota for the rest of his childhood. Eri was ten and she had to witness this.

"Eri, look at me. I am alive thank you. I will forever be in your debt. Because of you, we managed to get you out of that horrible place. He won't hurt me, just remember that it's nothing more than a bad dream. He won't come after you Eri, I will make sure that he doesn't."

"Really?"

"Yes, don't worry I will be here near you. Get some sleep."

"Okay... goodnight Izuku."

"Goodnight Eri."

It took her about ten minutes before she was sound asleep. Izuku smiles before going back to his assignment and finishes for the night. Sleeping on the floor wasn't a bad thing, though it would do him good to get a futon soon.

That night, Izuku had woken up to a blood-curdling scream. Waking up in alertness, he turned to the source, a fierce glow of light came from the lower bunk.

"Ahh! No! No more! Stop! Make it stop!"

Izuku rushes forward and embraces the young girl, not caring for his safety. "Eri, calm down it's just a bad dream wake up!"

The young girl snapped her eyes open before screaming some more from what was assuming to be pain as her horn retracted to its natural state. She screamed into Izuku's chest, the teen was sweating. His lack of sleep and stress was coming back to hit him. He needed to make sure Eri was okay on an emotional level. Using the same formula in regards to Kota, Izuku got underneath the covers and held Eri to his chest as she silently cried.

Sighing, Izuku started humming a tune that his mother would do for him when he had nightmares, hoping that it would soothe her mind. Patiently, Izuku waited for the young girl to fall asleep again. He was thankful for the walls to be soundproof but wondered about the boy in the bunk above.

He would have to check up on Kota tomorrow in the morning...

The next day started rocky. Izuku didn't get much sleep after Eri's nightmare due to a set of night terrors of his own.

Upon talking to Kota, his mood was sour and Izuku was taking the brunt of it. "She screams so loud. What was that about?"

"Nightmare, it was about her life before the rescue," Izuku explains. Kota gives him a disturbed look.

"What happened to her?"

"It would be better if you didn't know the details but a criminal was abusing her while posing as her father." It was enough to make Kota feel pity for the girl.

"But it's best if you don't bring up with her unless she ready to talk about." Izuku ends the conversation, currently, the new addition to the room was in the bathroom brushing her teeth. The kids have already gotten ready, Izuku was the last one to do his morning routine before starting their day.

Once Eri was done, Izuku walked in. Shedding his clothes, he took a quiet and cold shower to wake him up. Upon finishing, he stared blankly at his shirtless reflection. While he lost mass and his quirk wasn't acting properly. The thing that bothered him was the idea that he felt no pain in his arms anymore. His right arm especially, looking at it. His skin was normal, he no longer had the scar that threatens his right arm. His fingers, a long scar across the back of his palm, gone. The wound he sustained from his battle with Katsuki, a small scar on his abdomen, vanished.  His messed up fingers from Shoto's fight, back to symmetric form, no longer deformed from the overuse of One For All.

It bothered him since he didn't know how far did Eri rewind him. Maybe it was before he got Full Cowling? No, that would mean he didn't receive One for All at all. But he can still channel it but something is blocking him.

Shaking his head in momentary defeat, Izuku got ready for the day.

From the start of class to the end of the day. Izuku didn't do much, he would have Kota and Eri sit in the same seat in the class, this time his seat was changed to the back to allow more room for the kids and to learn in class.

Eri was occupied with her drawing while Kota was playing with his handheld device with earbuds plugged in. Izuku was thankful that they were patient with class, Kota grew to know that he shouldn't cause a scene. He was never one to do so unless something irked him badly.

The day went on, Izuku took them to the main office to eat their lunch due to Eri not being able to handle many people around her. But there was something else...

"Principal Nezu? May I ask something?"

"Go ahead."

"I was wondering if U.A. has any part-time jobs for students?"

"Hmm. Normally we wouldn't offer part-time jobs for students as the academic curriculum is more than enough for students to divide their time with. Though may I ask why you need a part-time occupation?"

"Mostly because I don't want to rely on my mother so much. I have Kota and Eri to look out for and they are my responsibility." Izuku summarized.

"Hmm. Well, we could use the extra hands in the cafeteria but that's something I need to look over. As you know, we have a small staff in the cafeteria responsible for sorting and serving food to the students and staff members right?"

"Yes sir."

"Good. Mind you, I will have to school pay you under the table unless you have a bank account of your own."

"Under the table works. I am not old enough to get myself a bank account." He was using one of his mother's credit cards in case of emergencies.

"Very well then. I will contact you and let you know when you have a meeting with me. We will get you stationed and discuss the job requirements. Don't be late." Nezu says with a smile.

Izuku returns on of his own. An income would be fantastic for him and the two children under his care. Looking over at the two, Kota showing Eri how to play on his handheld gaming device. Izuku hopes for a better tomorrow...
