It's one week till Christmas and Riley and Maya have all the decorations finished all they need to do is wrap up Scott presents. Once he goes to sleep but what they didn't expect was.
"AHCHOO!" Riley sneezed loudly as she laid on the bed with blankets and a tissue box beside her. Maya and Scott stared at Riley worriedly. Riley who noticed it smiled at them which calmed them down a little, Maya noticed that Riley was still shivering.
"Scotty, can get the blankets that are inside the closet I need to see if the soup is ready." Maya asked and Scott nodded as Maya left, Scott headed towards the closet and opened it and saw the blankets neatly folded but beside the blankets their was a box. Scott opened the box and inside the box was a red Phillies cap on top of it was a jean jacket.
Scott smiles grabs the red Phillies cap and puts it on top of his head and then grabs the jean jacket and puts it on, which was big on him. Scott smiles and grabs the blanket from the closest as Scott was closing the closet. Maya walked inside carrying the soup on a tray but stops when she sees what Scott is wearing.
Riley noticed that Maya stopped and followed the direction she was staring at and saw Scott wearing the Phillies cap but as well as the jean jacket. They both smiled at Scott and then at each other.
Scott walked towards the bed and spread the blanket on top of Riley and Maya set the tray on the nightstand.
"Scott, where'd you get those?" Maya asked but already knew the answer. "I found it in the closet they were inside a box." Scott answered with a smile. Maya laughed and picked up Scott and sat him on her lap.
"You know this cap once belonged to grandpa Cory until it was given to your mom." Maya asked as Maya and Riley remembered when Cory wear the cap and then Riley.
"Really!" Scott asked shocked and then took off the Phillies cap and smiled as he looked at it, Maya and Riley chuckled.
"Yup." Riley replied as she looked at the cap with a fond smile.
"My parents are Cory and Topanga. And they gave me the best parts of both of them. But I'm not going to be like them. I'm still writing my own stories. Just like I want you to write your own stories and not be like your mommy and I." Riley continued.
"I'm going to write my own stories." Scott replied as he then put on the Phillies cap, "And we can't wait to watch them." Maya said.
"What about the jean jacket? Did it also belong to grandpa Cory and grandma Topanga?" Scott asked curiously and Riley looked up at Maya with so much love in her eyes.
"No, it belonged to your mommy. She gave it to me on my birthday. I also wore the jean jacket when Maya asked to marry me." Riley answered as both Maya and Riley remembered that was also the day of Maya proposal of marriage.
"That jacket is also important because it's a symbol of are love this is the jacket when we first said I love you to each other and had are first kiss when I finally realized my feelings towards your mom." Maya explained Scott was surprised for he didn't expect this jacket to be this important.
Scott toke it off and handed it to Maya who then decided to put it on Riley who was sitting up. Once, Maya put the jacket on Riley she smiled and had flashbacks of how the jean jacket is important towards them.
"A perfect fit." Riley with a smile that Maya and Scott returned, "Just like us." Maya replied and Maya and Scott laid beside Riley not caring if they got sick because all that mattered was each other.
