"Mother....... I succeeded . I brought him to our house."

"Did anyone survive except you sister?"

"No mother . Just me . The bounty hunter who was helping us was killed by me .

"Good . Do you have the sword from which our sisters died?"

"Yes mother ." She took out a sword covered in blue blood from its scabbard and handed it to her mother . The mother looked at it . The whole blade was covered in blood . She felt screams of pain and last breaths come out through the blade . After looking through the sword she looked at the girl .

"Gather all the sisters . Even the youngest . Gather in the main hall ".

"What about you mother?" The girl asked . The mother looked at Matteo .

"I have to take care of our 'guest' . She said . She then called the two older sisters , to take Shepard's body . Matteo , who was slowly coming out of his dormant state .

Hours later , Matteo was awakened from his sleep state . He felt that he was not wearing his armour and equipment . He felt that someone was holding his shoulders. He opened his eyes and saw a mass of blue ladies surrounding him. They were of all ages . Children , teenagers , adults , older women . Matteo immediately guessed where he was.

"Ah yes . Thessia.

Then Elder Mother Ne'rra appeared . She had white and blue robes decorated with gold elements . She approached Matteo and looked at him.

"Hello brother. How are you feeling?" She asked . Matteo looked down. He felt , he was not wearing his armour and equipment. He looked up at his mother Ne'rra.

"Weak. Not good.

"We felt that way too".- She began- " You betrayed our Order to the Jedi Order.

"It's not like ..... " Then Shepard got in Mother's face.

"Be silent child! Or I swear , I will rip your heart out with my bare hands. " She pulled away from him " Once the Jedi Order believed in peace and justice . When , there was some danger the whole Order rushed to help . When , some organisation or pirates started to attack , the Jedi Council always sent their envoys to help ".

"What are you getting at?" Matteo asked. Then he was hit in the face for the second time.

"First of all stop your language , unless I give you permission to use it . Secondly " - She moved away from him again - "In later times the Jedi Order displayed arrogance . The dark side of the Force blinded them . Politics was more important than helping . The Clone Wars led to the complete destruction of the Jedi Order . Sheev Palpatine fulfilled the thousand-year plan of the Sith . Now as Emperor he rules the galaxy! ' He said addressing the crowd . She then turned to Matteo.

"You have betrayed us . You have surrendered the culture and our traditions to the Jedi Order . You almost brought our culture into the open , and on top of that you did acts that are unforgivable."- Then she picked up the sword that Matteo used to kill the Asari Sisters-"I'm sorry , I really am , but I will not tolerate traitors."

"I am not a traitor," Matteo denied.

"Your actions indicate otherwise . So I have no choice . Peace be with you Matteo. " Then she thrust her sword into Matteo's body piercing him through . Shepard began to bleed out . His body was dying in the arms of his sisters . Blood from the wound began to form puddles on the floor . Ne'rra handed the sword to the priestess , who after getting it in her hands left the room . She then turned to the crowd .

"Disperse! " She ordered . The Sisters , Enforcers , Priestesses , Acolytes and young adepts headed for the exit . When everyone had left Ne'rra looked at the two Asari , who were holding Matteo's still warm body .

"Take the body to the chambers of the Goddess . Then gather the older Acolytes ." She then planned to leave the room but one of the sisters stopped her.

"Are you sure this is a good idea Mother? What if he does it again? "

Mother looked at her with a smile.

"He won't do it my child . I will take care of it. "

After these words, the Sisters made their way to the Chambers of the Goddess. Ne'rra went to her room , to take things that would be useful in the chamber.

Two hours later, Mother Ne'rra , the Asari Sisters and the Acolytes gathered in the chamber of the Goddess , to perform the ritual of restoration. The Sisters threw Matteo Shepard's body into the purple-pink water . which was as cold as ice. The acolytes then used the Power of Biotics to change the aura of the room. Mother Ne'rra took the vials of Asari blood and human blood and poured them into the water. The aura in the chamber began to change more. A mist began to appear from the water . The Asari sisters began to read the ancient texts . The mother took a knife in her hand and made a wound on her left hand . Drops of her blood landed in the water . After a few minutes it was getting colder in the chamber . Fog covered almost the whole room . The sisters began to speak louder , the acolytes used more of their Powers . Soon a lightning bolt appeared out of nowhere and hit the water Goddess . The mist slowly descended . The sisters stopped reading and the acolytes stopped using the Force . The mother walked closer to the stone pool on which the hieroglyphs were carved , which began to glow blue . The ritual was successful.

Ne'rra entered the stone pool and approached Matteo's body which was previously under water . His skin and hair shone , all his wounds had healed and his scars were gone . His body began to function better . Matteo took his hand on the back of Shepard's head . She placed the other on his chest , feeling his heartbeat . She felt through the Force , that he was awakening .

Matteo gently opened his eyes and saw Ne'rra looking at him . He felt how his body was no longer as light as a feather . He could feel the hot air surrounding the entire chamber . The first drops of sweat were on his forehead . He looked at Mother .

"Am I alive? ...... You stabbed me after all . I felt the grip of death. " He muttered . Ne'rra felt , he wanted to get up so she helped him to his feet . They got out of the pool and looked at each other.

"You saw what I wanted you to see. And then you slept the sleep of the dead . All so that you could wake up to a new life." She explained

"For what?" Matteo asked.

"Matteo . Do you remember what the Asari serve in the name of?

" In the name of peace and justice in all matters . For the preservation of the harmony of the world in which we live .

"Yes . That is what it is all about . The question is whether you will do the will of the Goddess and remember this principle .

" And do I have another choice?" He asked.

Ne'rra snapped her fingers twice . One of the Acolytes approached her and handed her black robes with gold ornaments , two pistols and a lightsaber . The Mother snapped once more only for all the Asari to leave the Goddess' chambers. When , all the people had left , Ne'rra looked at Matteo.

"What I hold in my hand are things belonging to your ancestor Eliajh Shepard - the Jedi who discovered our order and our entire race . He travelled with his padawan Kereis Veln . He spent a year here , learning about our culture and our concept of the Force . At that time , the Jedi Order was at its most flourishing . This era was called the 'High Republic' . At the same time new hyperspace routes and new planets were still being discovered . "

"How did you find all this?" Matteo asked.

"We didn't. He gave them to us , as a souvenir of his time here. It was the best gift we got . " she answered.

"And where is my armour?"

"It was melted down . You are a different person now. You don't need the armour and those other technological things inside it. Just like those guns . You now have weapons , with which you will fight evil of all kinds ." She explained handing the items to the man . Matteo looked at them .

"I will miss the armour" He said in his mind . He looked at Ne'rra . "Could I change?"

"Of course . I'll wait outside. " After these words she left the room giving Shepard time to change.

After changing, Matteo left the Goddess's chamber . He felt the comfort of his ancestor's robes . Apparently at that time clothes were made of better materials . There was a lightsaber attached to a belt of the same colour as the robes . At the sides were two blasters from the same era as the robes and the lightsaber .

Then , he noticed Ne'rra standing a few metres away with a mysterious scroll. He noticed that the scroll was not old - there was fresh paper on the roll. Usually on such things are important things such as prophecies, decrees or some kind of document testing the loyalty of a new member of the Order. Mother approached him with a serious look on her face.

"How are your new clothes? " She asked looking at Matteo. She felt as if she had seen Eliajh on her first day of arrival on the planet . She saw the lightsaber . A golden-white hilt with the High Republic logo . Initially , when she first saw this weapon she was surprised that Jedi use some small decorated rod for defence . She later changed her mind after seeing this weapon in its full glory and in action . The last thing she saw before looking at the man's face was two silver blasters . Jedi never use these 'uncivilised weapons' but Eliajh was the only one who used these weapons. Sometimes , when he did not have his lightsaber with him , he would quickly take out the blasters and fire shots at the enemy.

"I was itchy at first , but then it passed . They are quite comfortable when you walk around in them for a few minutes . " answered . He noticed a gentle smile on Ne'rra's face , which disappeared and turned into a serious expression . Does Mother ever really smile ?

Ne'rra handed him the scroll . Matteo accepted it and opened it . He saw many names . Some of them he recognised and the rest he did not . He looked at her.

"What is this?"

"These are the names of the people you must kill if you are to cleanse your sins" She explained. Matteo looked at her in surprise.

"And didn't I accidentally cleanse my sins by killing me and bringing me back to life?"

"I gave you a new life , in which the old sins remained ". She placed her hand on his shoulder . "Go ahead. When , you kill them all come back to me .

"Of course " Matteo said . He soon left and headed for the temple exit . Ne'rra turned and threw the words in Shepard's direction .

"May the Force be with you brother."

Matteo stopped . He turned and nodded .

"The hunt is about to begin." He said to himself in thought turning around and walking . It was time for the Bounty Hunter's storyline to kick in .
