Hell's Kitchen, New York

"Watch out everyone, I'm blind Matt Murdock!" Foggy said loudly as he took Matt's stick from his hand, wobbling all over the place as the three of you began laughing.

"I think most people just say Matt Murdock." Matt laughed.

"Do I look like most people?" Foggy questioned, handing him his stick back.

"Did you just ask a blind guy how you look?" You questioned, making you, Foggy, and Matt begin laughing.

"Shhhh." Foggy put his finger up to your mouth as he chuckled. "I'm still getting used to it. Not all of us had the divine pleasure of growing up with the Matt Murdock."

"Not sure you would call it a divine pleasure." You said sarcastically, making Matt scoff as he wrapped his arms further around your shoulders.

"Say what you want, you love me." Matt said, moving his head down as he pressed a quick kiss to your lips, making you look up at him and smile.

You looked over, seeing Foggy staring at you with his eyebrows raised.

"What's that look for?" You questioned, still peaking over at Foggy with a smile.

"Well you know, it's rude to kiss one but not the other." He said, looking at you with a suggestive smile.

You pushed Foggy jokingly as you laughed. "For the last time Foggy, I am not kissing you." You said, smiling at him. "I want your first kiss to be special."

"It would be special!" He argued, "We're great friends, and frankly your very attractive, so that's like double points!"

"Why don't you just kiss Matt?" You questioned. "You guys are great friends, and he's very attractive."

"Foggy I swear to God if you try and kiss me, I will shove this stick up your ass." Matt said as he lifted his walking stick off the ground, making all of you break out in laughter.

You all walked in union as your arm wrapped around Matt's. The campus of Columbia University was dark and empty. The only noises being the occasional sound of a flickering light, or of course, Foggy pretending to be blind. Everything was peaceful, no doubt or fear in mind, just peace.

"Oh God." Matt sighed, throwing his head back. "We should be at home studying."

"Your going to get a brain aneurism with how much you study." You said as you looked up at Matt, "I mean seriously, I'm passing and I ever so rarely study."

"With all that studying, your just making us look like a group of nerds!" Foggy said as he stumbled around and the sound of laughter took over the group.

"You would be passing with some better grades if you took less nights off." Matt smiled as he hit Foggy in the foot with his stick.

Foggy jumped, "Ah! The blind man is attacking me!" He yelled as Matt pulled you along with him as he chased Foggy around with the stick.

"Oh my God, Murdock!" You laughed, "I don't really trust a running blind man leading me, especially when he's drunk!"

You chuckled as you both kept chasing Foggy around the campus, finally stopping when Foggy halted his running, placing his hands on his knees as he caught his breath.

"Okay fine, fine, you win!" Foggy said breathlessly as he walked a bit further, sitting down on the steps of a large staircase that overlooked the entire campus.

You and Matt still wore smiles as you sat down next to Foggy, you being in the middle, and Foggy and Matt being on either side of you.

You groaned, placing your hands over your face. "Alright that's it, I'm never drinking again."

Matt chuckled, "You said that last week."

"Just let me believe it." You said, looking over at him with a laughing smile.

Foggy smiled as he looked over at you and Matt. "You know, I'm real glad I met you guys." He admitted. "I don't know what I would do without you both."

You looked at Foggy with a genuine smile. "We don't know what we would do without you either, Foggy." You smiled, taking his hand in yours. Matt intertwined his fingers with your other hand as you lifted the group of connected hands in the air. "We're gonna be the best damn lawyers ever."

Matt and Foggy laughed with a genuine smile overcoming their faces.

"We never discussed the name of our firm." Matt brought out.

"Hmm..true." You looked over at Foggy. "Whatcha thinking Foggy, for our law firm."

Foggy squinted his eyes, "How about uh...El grande Avocado's!"

"No." Matt shook his head in laughter. "Oh please not this again."

You laughed, thinking for a moment. "What about Nelson, Murdock, and Y/l/N?"

"Nelson, Murdock, and Y/L/N." Foggy nodded, "Now I like the sound of that." He grinned.

"I agree with Foggy." Matt said, peaking his head in your direction. "Nelson, Murdock, and Y/L/N: Attorneys at law." He said, waving his hand in the air as he leaned into you.

You chuckled as all three of you collided, falling over to one side as laughter erupted between the trio. None of you had any thought on your mind as happiness took over, creating a core memory for all three of you.

3 months after trial

Hell's Kitchen, New York

Blood splattered to the side of you as your head turned from the impact of the punch.

People from every angle around you cheered your name and your opponents. Bright lights shone onto your face as the distinct stamp of a fist left a red coloring on your skin, making the left side of your cheek grow numb.

"Oh come on pretty girl," Your opponent said as he walked closer, placing his hand around your neck as he lifted you against the cage of the ring, metal springs piercing into your back. "Thought you where more tough then this." He scoffed as he tightened his grip around your neck.

Your breathing hitched as you moved your legs up to his upper body, wrapping them around his neck as you twisted him to the ground, making him release the grip on your neck as he fell face first onto the matt.

The crowd erupted in a large cheer as your name was called out by everyone in attendance. Clapping and whistling filled your ears as you stood from the matt, walking over to your opponent as you placed your hand on the collar of his shirt, lifting his head up from the ground.

"Not so tough now, huh?" You said as you lifted your fist up, hitting him across the face as the crowd grew even louder.

You kept punching his face from left to right as blood splattered onto the matt and onto your clothes, making a red haze appear on your shirt. Finally after hitting him a couple more times, the mans fist tapped on the ground three times, signaling he tapped out.

You dropped his head to the ground as the announcer walked up to you, lifting your hand in the air as the crowd screamed your name.

"Your bets are final! The winner for this round is, Y/n Y/l/N!" The announcer yelled, his voice echoing off the shipping containers of the dock.

You dropped your fist down to your side as the announcer covered his mic.

"Where's he at?" You questioned the announcer, his body turning towards you fully with a new look. Instead of the proud smile he typically wore, his face was now full of concern.

"In the back." He motioned to the back of the docks. Just as you went to walk off, he grabbed your arm, stopping you in your tracks. "I gotta warn you, he's been on edge recently with that Daredevil guy. Took out half of his men last week."

Your heartrate sped up at just the sound of his name. "I'll be fine." You said, taking your arm from his grasp. "I think he's more scared of me then The Devil Of Hell's Kitchen." You said as you walked off, heading towards the back of the docks.

As you approached the end of the docks where the lighting was dim and quiet, you heard the faint noise of steps approaching you from the direction you where walking towards.

"Well there she is." Kyron said, lifting his arms up in pride. "My favorite girl." He said with a smile that you where anything but amused with.

"I'm not here to make small talk." You said as you approached him. "You know what I'm here for, Kyron."

"Jeez, somebody's hormonal tonight." Kyron said with a chuckle, seeing your head cock at his words, making his hands go up defensively. "I'm kidding."

"Where is it?" You questioned.

Kyron lifted his fingers, snapping as one of his men walked up behind him, handing him a file that was filled to the brim with papers.

"Y'know, most people would just let the fed's handle a guy like this." He said, handing you the file.

"Say's the hitman." You said, taking the file from his hands as you opened it, reading over as much information as you could.

"You know what I mean." Kyron said, crossing his arms over his chest. "This guy is a cereal killer, and a drug dealer. He's not necessarily someone a street fighter would go after."

You read over his name once again. Damion Phillips.

"Why do you want his info anyway?" Kyron questioned.

Your head peaked up from the file, hesitating over your words. "Personal case. Private investigation stuff." You lied, looking back over the case.

"And who wants an investigation on this guy?" Kyron questioned, his voice surprised.

You looked up, closing the file. "It's called private investigation for a reason. That information is confidential." You placed the file in your messenger bag.

"Y'know, for some reason I feel like your lyin' to me." Kyron said. "But, I'll let it slide for that pretty face of yours." He smirked.

Ignoring his comment, you continued. "Do you know anything about Damion that isn't in this file?" You questioned. "I mean anything. Recent news, drug or gun deals, people who have worked with him?"

"Everything I know is in that file, honey." He nodded to your bag. "I hope your not planning on finding this guy by yourself. Everyone who tries never makes it out alive." He shook his head.

You sighed to yourself, "I uh...I kinda have somebody in mind who can help me."

"Oh?" Kyron questioned with a smile. "Ya gotcha self a boyfriend or something?"

"Keep talking and I'll slice your dick off and feed it to the fish." You threatened, turning on your heel as you walked off towards the ring again. "Just mail me my check."

"Leaving already?" Kyron questioned as he yelled for you. "Aren't you gonna do a couple more rounds?"

"I have some people I gotta find." You yelled back, lowering your voice so only you could hear what you said next. "Specifically two."

Matt walked side to side with Karen. Her arm wrapped tightly around his as they spoke through large grins.

"This night really was great, Matt." Karen said with a happy smile, moving her arm further up Matt's bicep. "Despite the really fancy restaurant we went to at first." She chuckled, making Matt join in.

"Yeah, remind me to stay as far away from that place as possible." Matt smiled, stopping at the front of his building. "Are you sure you don't want me to walk you home? Your only a little ways from here."

Karen shook her head, "It's okay, I'll just call for a cab." She said, moving so she was in front of him.

She still wore the same smile she had the entire way back, her heartrate pounding from her chest. Matt's arm moved to hers, swiping his hands up her skin until he made it to her neck, pulling her in for a kiss as their lips collided together.

Karen's arms moved to his, holding onto his wrists until Matt pulled back slowly, wearing a blush smile.

"I'll uh..." Karen smiled as a cab pulled up next to her, "I'll see you tomorrow, okay?"

Matt still had a small grin, "Yeah. I'll see you tomorrow." He waited until Karen got fully in the cab. "Goodnight, Karen."

"Goodnight, Matt." She said sweetly as she closed the door behind her.

Matt's smile stayed with him as he opened the door to his building, walking up to his floor as he headed inside his apartment.

Matt moved to the kitchen, grabbing a glass as he filled it with bobrun. His smile quickly disappeared as he placed both hands on the side of his counter, lowering his head.

"She seemed nice." You said, your hand resting on the side of your head as you sat in Matt's arm chair. "Charming, blonde, pretty voice." You said as you stood up, walking slowly towards Matt. "She's like your personal Barbie doll."

Matt scoffed to himself, lifting the glass from the counter as he walked out from behind it.

"You know, just yesterday I was thinking about you." Matt nodded, "I was thinking about what you where doing now that your house arrest is up. I was thinking maybe you decided to grow up and get a job, maybe you got a couple clients for your private investigation work." He shook his head, "But no, instead your breaking into your ex boyfriends apartment."

"Technically my name is still on the lease, Matthew." You said, leaning against the couch with your arms crossed over your chest. "So it wasn't breaking in."

"I told you to stay out of my life after your case, so what the hell are you doing here?" Matt questioned, his words escaping his words in a venomous tone.

"Would you believe it if I said I missed you?" You questioned.

"No." He responded flatly.

"Well then there goes my first plan." You said with sarcasm, "I was in Hell's Kitchen for the night and thought I would pop by."

"Well your not staying here."

"Didn't say I wanted to stay here." You responded, "I could never sleep here. That damn light always woke me up." You nodded to the billboard outside the window. "Luckily for us, we never did much sleeping in this apartment, did we?" You said with a smirk.

"Listen, if your here to walk down memory lane-"

"I need your help." You said, standing up fully. "Or let me rephrase, I need help from the other you."

Matt placed his hands on his hips, moving his tongue to the side of his cheek.

"Your unbelievable."

"Not the first time you've told me that." You said, your tone becoming more serious. "Believe me, If I didn't need your help, I wouldn't be here."

"Then get out." Matt said.

"I can't, Matthew." You said with urgency in your voice. "I just-" You shook your head. "For one night, I need you to put everything about our past away and help me." You stepped closer to Matt, placing your hand on his tie again as you pulled him slightly closer. "Your the only person I trust for this."

"Oh sweetheart," Matt smirked. "You don't break into my apartment and then talk to me about trust."

"I know you Matt." You said pleadingly. "I know that you want the thrill of something new."

"No..no you don't." Matt shook his head, his voice raspy and low. "You knew me ten years ago, you don't know me now."

"Come on, It'll be fun." You said, inching your face closer to his. "Like old times."

"You and I have very different views when it comes to things being fun." Matt said, moving his thumb under your chin as he lifted your head to look up at him. "Now...get out."

You eyed Matt for a moment, remaining silent as you took your hand down from his tie. Then, without saying another word, you walked towards the door and out, without looking back once.

As Matt heard the sound of your heartbeat fade away, he moved his hand to the collar of his neck, loosening his tie as his jaw twitched and his breathing sped up. The tough barrier he had when you where there completely gone and discarded, thrown into the wind.

Matt walked through the door of Nelson and Murdock, being met with Foggy who was just walking out of his office.

"Hey." Foggy said with a smile, the expression on his face changing as soon as he saw the look on Matt's face. "What's wrong?"

Matt cocked his head slightly, "What do you mean?"

"You have a look." Foggy said somberly, "It's not a good look for you, man." He said, remembering Matt with this look the night you and him split for good. The same look of heartbreak, and misery.

"It's nothing." Matt tried to change the subject as he shut the door behind him, folding his stick up. "I just didn't sleep good last night."

"Rough night fighting bad guys?" Foggy questioned, knowing it wasn't that, but not trying to push it anymore.

Matt walked over to the coffee pot, grabbing a cup and filling it to the top.

"Yeah...something like that." He said to himself, taking a sip from his cup. "Do we uh...do we have anything to eat?"

"Hangover I'm guessing?" Foggy questioned, a small smile appearing on his face.

"Major." Matt lifted his eyebrows.

"Let's see." Foggy said, moving over to the fridge as he opened the door, peaking his head inside. He searched around until his eyes finally landed on a plate with tin foil on top. "Aha, food at last." He lifted the foil, his nose scrunching. "Scratch that, there's more mold then food on this." He said, tossing the plate into the trash.

"So...we're that broke." Matt said as Foggy lifted his head from the fridge, a small bit of laughter escaping his mouth.

"Extremely my friend." He said, standing up fully. "As much as I like this whole pro-bono thing, I think we should maybe consider charging our clients. For the sake of us keeping this firm going." Foggy said as he walked into his office, Matt following suit.

"I guess." Matt shrugged, "I think maybe we just need to find clients other then vigilante's for a while." He rose his eyebrows, sipping from his coffee.

"I partially agree." Foggy shrugged as he leaned back into his chair. "Or maybe we just charge them extra." He offered, his face formed into an upside down smile.

Matt chuckled lightly, "I think for now let's just stick with the no vigilante rule." He said with a soft-spoken smile. '"If you need me I'll be in my office okay?" He said, tapping his hand on the door frame just as he walked out and headed towards his office.

-+++++++-

That day went by relatively fast, despite the cliental being slow. The firm had landed a new client from Hell's Kitchen, and although the case was small, Matt felt like that may have been the best option considering how their recent cases had been going.

Night fell as the yellow light from the street shone into the building, creating a haze over the working trio as exhaustion and commitment drove them further into their case.

Matt, Karen, and Foggy sat around the receptionist desk, their eyes focused on the screens of their laptops as conversation circled around the them.

"Okay...I think at this point our best bet would be going in with harassment charges." Foggy said as he looked up from his laptop. "At least then we can get some sort of restraining order filed against Mr. Werner."

Matt nodded, "I'm with Foggy." He said, running his hands over the braille keyboard. "With the way things look, it won't be hard to press charges. He has a criminal history running against him, and Ms. Myers has a clean slate."

"We could also use the security footage from the bar if we need extra evidence." Karen pointed out, her pen tapping on the table as exhaustion seeped through her voice.

"Exactly. We could also-" Foggy paused, the buzzing of his phone filling his ears. "Shit- sorry. It's our bank, I should take this." He pulled his phone out, lifting it up to his ear as he stood and left the room, leaving Matt and Karen alone.

"Probably calling to tell us you can't have a bank account if you have no money." Matt said sarcastically.

Karen laughed softly at Matt's joke as she pushed a piece of hair from her face, yawning.

"You tired?" Matt questioned.

"Extremely." Karen said with a small smile. "I've been trying to find more cliental recently to keep the business going." She shrugged, "So far my efforts have brought one person in."

"Hey." Matt moved his hand over to Karen's. "Don't worry about money okay? We'll figure something out. As much as I appreciate you bringing in clients, I would prefer you prioritize sleep." He said with a soft smile.

"Yeah I think my body does too." She smiled, just as Foggy walked back into the office, a surprised and confused look on his face as he placed his phone down in his pocket.

"Everything okay?" Matt questioned, hearing the sound of Foggy's breathing.

"Y-yeah man." He said, a small bit of laughter escaping his mouth. "We uh- we just got a very nice donation."

"Donation?" Karen questioned. "From who?"

"Some antonymous person." Foggy shrugged, his face still wearing shock. "And uh..it's a rather generous donation."

"How generous?" Matt questioned, his voice skeptical.

"How generous would you say $35,000 is?" Foggy questioned, making Karen raise her hands to her mouth. "Yeah, that's right, we're no longer in debt!" Foggy raised his hands up just as Karen had a smile wipe across her face and a burst of laughter left her lips.

Matt on the other hand, knew exactly what this was. This was bribery from the snake known only as yourself. His face was still firm as he stood up, scratching the back of his neck.

"I gotta go." Matt said, lifting his jacket from his seat as he threw it over his shoulders.

"Don't you want to come celebrate with us?" Foggy questioned, confused by the lack of excitement from Matt.

"I would but uh..I can't." He grabbed his bag, heading for the door as he stopped in front of Foggy momentarily, his voice low. "Do me a favor and don't use any of that money, alright?"

"But Matt-"

"Foggy please." Matt said with a begging tone. "I'll explain everything later, but for now I have to go." He said, patting Foggy's shoulder as he headed out the door.

Foggy turned his head back to Karen who looked confused.

"Drinks?" Foggy questioned.

-++++++++-

Matt knocked hard on your door, his fist slamming against the wood harshly three times in a row, over and over again despite him hearing your footsteps draw closer.

You opened the door swiftly, stopping Matt's fist from pounding on your door.

"Jesus Murdock, your gonna wake my entire building up." You said groggily, half of your body hiding behind the door.

"Take the money back." Matt said simply, wasting no time on small talk.

You rolled your eyes, opening the door all the way as you walked further into your apartment, Matt following close behind you as he shut the door behind him.

"It was a gift." You said, taking a glass as you poured bobrun into it, resting it on your kitchen counter. "Most people would be happy with it."

"Yeah well I'm not, so take it back." Matt said, pressing his hands to his hips. "Your not using bribery to get me to work with you."

"Who said it was bribery?" You questioned, lifting the glass to your lips as you finished the entire glass off. "Who said it wasn't just a gift for helping me out?"

"Cut the bullshit." Matt sneered, moving towards you as he placed his hands on the counter behind you, leaving you pinned in the middle of his arms.

"Or what?" You questioned, "Your gonna go after me for writing you a check?"

Matt shook his head, "Your unbelievable."

"Yeah well." You shrugged, "Hate me all you want, I don't give a shit."

Matt cocked his head as the sounds of car engines rushed towards your apartment building. Car doors slammed as men yelled at one another, the sound of gun's being loaded moving closer to you both.

"Someone's here." Matt said, his ears listening. "Men with guns, they're coming up the elevator."

"Mhm..." You responded without words, moving to your closet as you lifted your shirt over your head, moving your hands down to the waistband of your shorts as you pushed them down your legs.

"Y/n, who is it?" Matt questioned with urgency in his voice.

You walked out from your room a moment later, zipping your top up. "If I was to guess, probably the people who's building I blew up." You said nonchalantly, bending down as you zipped your boots up over your pants.

"What?" Matt questioned, his voice higher. "What do you mean people who's building you blew up? You committed arson?" Matt questioned urgently.

"Matt, I would love to hear your lawyer spiel right now but I kind of need you to suit up." You shrugged, lifting the duffel bag from inside your kitchen cabinets as you placed it on the counter, unzipping it to reveal Matt's suit, helmet, and Billy Club.

"How did you get this?" Matt questioned as he ran his hands over his suit. "What the hell is going on?" He questioned as his voice moved closer to a shout.

"Honey, I don't have time for small talk right now." You pressed your hands together in a prayer stance. "Let me give you the rundown. There are about thirty men downstairs who are going to ambush my apartment in attempt to kill me. I need you to use those devil powers of yours, and help me out."

You threw Matt one of your gloves as you put the other on your hand. "You have two options. You can either fight in dress pants and a suit jacket, or something a bit more fitting for the occasion. Your choice." You said as you reached over, grabbing your other glove.

"I'm not doing shit."

"Fine then, suit and tie it is." You said, moving your hair up into a ponytail.

Matt thought for a moment as your words flooded his mind. He didn't know what to do, but by the sound of footsteps and guns drawing closer, he didn't really have much of a choice. discarding his clothing on the floor, he reached over for the bag.

"God damnit." He mumbled to himself. "You knew they would come for you?"

"I knew they would come here." You shrugged, "This is my buddies place, not mine. Moved out of my place after the trial." You looked over, eyeing Matt's torso as he stood in nothing but his boxers.

"Wait-" Matt said, drawing your attention back to earth as he placed his suit on. "Did you know I would come here?"

"My confidence was high." You said, moving closer to him as you grabbed the knife from under your countertop, placing it in your holster.

Matt shook his head, "This is bullshit, you are full of bullshit." Matt pointed at you. "Everything you said in the apartment was all a lie, you manipulated me." Matt said with rage in his voice.

"No-"

"This is the same thing over and over again." Matt argued as you attempted to speak over him. "This is ridiculous! You lie, and then you expect everyone to think that your some sort of God sent hero-"

"Matthew!" You said loudly, placing your hands on the chest of his suit. "I never lied. I said your the only person I can trust and I meant that."

You felt his breathing calm down, almost like he felt a sense of comfort despite the argumentative and tense atmosphere.

"Now, I need you to get your head out of your ass for one minute-" You reached over, grabbing Matt's mask in your hands as you placed it in the small space between your bodies. "-And help me." You hesitated, "Please."

The sounds of people banging on your door filled the silence of the room as Matt stood in front of you, not saying a word. Yelling and cursing shouts radiated off the walls of the apartment as more men showed up behind your closed door.

Matt snatched the mask from your hands, placing it over his head as he turned in the direction of the door.

"Are you always this annoying or are you just incredibly insane?" Matt questioned.

"I'm not sure, probably both." You shrugged.

You watched him for a moment, turning in the same direction he did as a small smile appeared on your lips, just as the door broke down and men rushed into the building.

You and Matt both rushed in the direction of the men, being caught in a group of six.

The first man threw his fist at you which you stopped in the palm of your hand. You reached into your holster, grabbing your knife as you pushed it into his shoulder, making him let out a scream of pain as blood shot onto your shirt.

You kicked him in the stomach, sending him back into a pair of men who both fell to the ground.

Looking over at Matt, he took on a group of three men, all of which where attacking him with knives. You hurried over, jumping on one of the men's back as you brought him to the ground, lifting his head and slamming it into the hardwood floors as you kicked back and sent one of the men into the wall.

Matt took down two of the men as more ran into the apartment, adding more heartbeats to Matt's ears as he listened around.

Sounds of gunfire filled the air as you choked a man who was attempting to shoot at you. You quickly punched him on both sides of his face, hitting him with an uppercut until he was on his knees. You kicked him in the face, sending him back into the wall.

Matt groaned as he was being held to the ground with a knife to his throat. You ran over, wrapping your legs around the mans head as you moved him to the ground, punching him in the nose until he passed out.

"Your pulling your punches." You said as you stood up, moving your hand out for Matt to grab.

"Oh shut up." Matt said, taking your hand as you helped pull him up.

More men moved into the apartment, holding guns and knives in their hands.

"Why the hell are there so many people coming after you?" Matt questioned, cocking his head in your direction.

"Well like I mentioned, I blew up their building." You said breathlessly, throwing a punch at one of the men who ran towards you, moving his head down as you kicked your knee into his face. "And, I'm not really known for having a sparkling personality."

"Believe me, I know." Matt said, kicking a guy in the stomach as you both hurried towards a larger group.

One man came up behind you, grabbing you as another man rushed towards your direction, grabbing you by the shoulder as he punched you repeatedly in the stomach. Matt came up behind the man kicking you, sending his head into his knee. You grabbed the knife from your holster, lifting it as you stabbed the man holding you in the middle of his head.

Four men came at you and Matt, making you both fight harder then ever before. Your bodies had been beaten up, making you both absolutely exhausted from the constant kicking and punching.

You and Matt had become cornered. Men surrounded you as you desperately fought to keep them away. But with each punch came another man ready to take over for the fallen victim.

One of the men came up behind you, wrapping his arm around your neck as he pulled you to his chest, placing you in a chokehold as another man did the same to Matt.

"Shit, shit, shit, shit." You said repeatedly, using your legs to try and kick off of him, but finding it useless.

You felt everything around you move as your eyesight became darkened. Your eyes fluttered shut, just as the sound of the door busting open and gunshots took over the room.

Within seconds you felt pressure relieve from your neck. You looked over, seeing Matt gasping for air as his neck was let go of, and the guard holding him fell backwards to the ground with a bullet hole in his head.

"It took you long enough." You said, still catching your breath.

"I just saved ya life and your gonna complain?" Frank questioned, moving closer to you and Matt.

"I called for you two hours ago." You said, taking the hand that Frank gave you as you stood up.

"Well it seems you got everything taken care of." Frank shrugged, peaking over your shoulder. Frank's eyes widened as he looked back at you. "You gotta be fucking with me."

"Indeed not." You smiled, moving so Matt and Frank could both look at each other.

"Frank?" Matt questioned, his voice confused.

"Surprised ya blind ass is still alive red." He said, sounding more aggressive.

"Y/n, what is he doing here?" Matt questioned, turning his head to you.

"Yeah Y/n, what is he doing here?" Frank questioned, referring to Matt.

You offered an awkward smile. "Thought it would be fun to reunite my favorite boys." You said, still wearing a smile. "Now that we're all here, I feel like maybe I should go ahead and explain some things."

Matt and Frank both moved their heads in each others directions, knowing what you where about to say was most likely something neither of them would like.

Or would be able to get out of.

A/n- My favorite boys, Frank Castle and Matt Murdock.

I felt it would be funny to include both of them considering in Daredevil they don't necessarily get along so well. I really hope you all enjoyed this part and leave any suggestions, feedback, or really anything behind. I always love seeing that people are reading my stories and enjoying them!
