Going against the devil: Part 1

A/N- Hey everyone! This one shot will be multiple parts, so don't get mad at me when this first part ends, as it is the beginning of a few.

Warnings: Smut, Swearing (quite a bit),

Just a reminder that anything written in italic is a memory. Hope you enjoy!

You walked swiftly through the hospital, pushing past paparazzi as questions erupted throughout the waiting room.

"Your client-"

"Ms. Y/L/N-"

You made your way through the doors leading into the elevator, pressing the button to floor 5. Just as the door was about to shut, your business partner Jackson placed his foot in between the closing doors as he briskly walked in, standing next to you.

"He pleaded not guilty." You said, shaking your head as you felt heat rush through your body. You placed your hands on your head as you leaned back on the steel walls of the elevator. "He pleaded not fucking guilty, Jackson."

"Y/N, calm down. We can handle this, it's all going to be fine."

"It isn't going to be fine, Jackson." You sneered, looking over at him. "Do you not understand how serious this is? They're calling this the trial of the century. We lose this, we lose our jobs."

Jackson placed a hand on your back, pulling you into a hug. "Hey, hey, it's all gonna be fine." You looked up at him, he was wearing a small smile. "We'll talk to our witness and we'll see what we can do." He looked down at you. "We'll be okay, we won't loose this case."

You took a deep breath as the doors open, releasing yourself from Jacksons grasp. "I really hope your right."

"I always am, Y/N." He said, walking behind you as he began to strip of his coat.

You walked straight ahead, placing your bag down along with your jacket so they could get searched. A security guard came up to you, hovering over your body with a metal detector in hand.

"Do you know who's representing Mason Rose?" You asked, turning back at Jackson who was walking through the large metal detector. The security guard in front of you motioned for you to keep walking so you did, grabbing your coat and bag that had been searched.

"Uh..." Jackson squinted his eyes as he thought hard. "Some Murdock and Nelson thing? Oh wait- Nelson and Murdock, that's what it is."

You stopped walking, closing your eyes completely as he stopped walking behind you. You threw your head back in a groan, "You've gotta be fucking kidding me."

"What? Why? What's wrong with them?" He questioned, looking at you suspiciously. Your reasoning finally hitting him. "Oh my God." He scoffed. "Murdock as in-"

"Matthew Murdock."

"Matthew Murdock as in?"

"The Matthew Murdock"

Jackson laughed, placing his hand over his face as you both walked towards the hospital room.

"Well doesn't this day just keep getting better." Jackson said.

Matt Murdock. God, where to start.

Growing up you weren't used to the idea of competition. You where always at the top of your classes, great at sports, and was the kind of person that could pick up anything with ease. You never had to worry about not being number one.

Well, that was until you met Matt Murdock.

Matt was competition, big time competition. Matt was smart, and to be honest he scared you a bit when it came to academics. He knew that you where nervous around him and that you always wanted to be at the top, which is the main reason why he started trying to hard in his classes, so he could scare you off. Call it a dickhead move, but it was funny to see you acting frantic.

"Tomorrows class will be dedicated completely to our part B exam on civil legislation, please study tonight and do not be late for class tomorrow."

With that you where all dismissed. You got out of your chair, stretching your legs as you placed your notebook in your bag and threw it over your shoulder, zipping your bag up as you walked.

"Nervous?" Matt questioned, placing his items in his bag. He was facing you with a devilish smirk on his face.

"I hate you." You said, trying to push past him, being stopped by him standing in front of you.

"Let me pass, Murdock." You said, trying to maneuver around him but finding it useless.

"Oh come on, you know you don't hate me that much. You like the competition, sweetheart." He shrugged as he threw his bag over his shoulder, letting you pass and following you out of the room.

"First off your not competition Murdock, your just an asshole. Second of all, call me sweetheart again and I'll punch you so hard you see."

You both pushed open the doors in front of you in sync. Matt chuckled as you both walked outside. Noises of birds chirping and people playing guitar surrounded you as you walked together to your shared dorm building across campus. Students with flyers came up to you, trying to hand you a pen to sign their petitions which you kindly declined.

"You have any plans tonight?" Matt asked, turning his head towards your direction as you both walked together.

"Studying until my brain's synapse regulation is fucked up. Once that happens I'll take a 5 minute break and then go back to studying." You said, clutching your hand over the strap of your backpack. "Why do you care?"

"I was just asking." He said putting his hands up defensively, "You know, I'm not always an asshole. Sometimes I genuinely care what a control freak like yourself does in her free time."

You both entered your building as you started walking up the stairs to the third floor. You scoffed and shook your head.

"I don't understand how your friends with one of the nicest guys I've ever met and somehow your one of the biggest dickheads I've ever encountered." You said, walking down the hallway to room 411. "I feel bad for Foggy."

"Like I said, I'm not always an asshole. I just like seeing you in a tizzy." He said, grabbing his key to his door and placing it in the lock. You did the same, just across from his door at your dorm room.

"You don't have any control over me, Murdock." You said, placing your key in the lock and twisting it.

"Your a bad liar...really bad." He smiled, opening his door and walking in as he leaned on the doorframe and waited for you to get inside.

"Good thing I don't need to lie for my job." You said, facing him in your doorframe.

"Well you have fun with your brain crushing study session," he smirked. "I'll see you tomorrow, Y/N."

"Goodbye, Murdock." You rolled your eyes, closing the door on his face.

You opened the door to the hospital room, offering a slight smile towards the man who was lying in the bed. His face was bandaged, and his eyes where black and blue.

"Hi Mr. Reignfield, my name is Y/N Y/L/N and this is my partner Jackson Beasley." You walked closer, "We're with Smith and Michaelson in the case against Mason Rose and we're wondering if we could ask you a few questions. It won't take long at all." You smiled, waiting for him to respond.

The man in the bed nodded as he put his hand out. You walked closer, taking it as he shook your hand.

"Please call me Oscar." The old man said with a smile. "I would be happy to answer your questions, whatever gets that monster put away for good."

"Wonderful, thank you." You said, pulling a chair up next to the bed. "Okay so for starters-" you looked down at your file, "How did you know Mr. Rose before all this?"

"He had come into the shop a few times, and from there we became good friends. I was always at his house. His daughter and my daughter played together while me and Frank would grill in the backyard. The girls would talk and cook, my son and his son would play football. It was the classic American family dream." The man shrugged, "He was a nice guy and then all the sudden he just got different."

You nodded as you wrote down what the man said.

"How exactly did he become different?" Jackson asked.

"He started coming in complaining." Oscar shook his head, "Goin' off about how the world we live in is bullshit and how everybody gets a second chance even when they don't deserve one."

"Oscar, where you aware about his situation with his family?"

Oscar nodded, "The day they died he came into my store late at night. He was screaming at me, going off about how he was gonna find these guys and kill them." Sorrow grew on Oscars face, "I don't know what it's like to loose your entire family in one day but still I tried to sympathize with him. I told him that every trial has its passing point and the cops would find whoever did this to his family."

You finished writing, "then what happened after that?"

Oscar swallowed hard, "Got mad at me." He shook his head, "He told me he was gonna get my family and kill them to show me exactly how it feels. I'd manage to avoid him up until now when he came into my shop again with that same look on his face."

"What look?" You questioned softly.

Tears formed in Oscars eyes, "Like he was gonna kill me."

You kept your gaze on Oscar as you felt your heart drop to your stomach.

"What happened next?" You questioned softly.

Oscars face grew sorrowful as he looked down, his breath hitching as tears streamed down his face. "He killed my wife first, then my son," a new look of rage overtook him. "and then last my daughter."

Although you hadn't seen Matt since college, you knew he wasn't one to support the work of a mass murderer. He was always talking about how the world was chaos and that him and Foggy would help support those who where good, and fight against those who where bad.

"Oscar, thank you for your time. That's all the questions we have." Jackson said, gently touching your arm and motioning for you both to leave the room.

You nodded, coming back to the world as you looked at Oscar and offered a small smile.

When you both left the room, you placed your hands on your forehead, pacing to the other side of the hallway. The door shut behind Jackson as he looked at you concerned.

"Y/N, are you okay?"

"I don't get it." You shook your head, "What kind of person would defend someone like that?" You said, putting your arm out in exasperation. "He threatened to kill his family for fucks sake."

Jackson sighed, "Some people don't have the same mindset as you." He placed his arm on yours, "We're gonna win this case. Nelson and Murdock don't have a chance."

You nodded, feeling your heartrate calm down as you took a deep breath.

"Maybe you should go home for the night." Jackson suggested. "You've been up since 4am and I can tell your exhausted."

Your lips formed into a tight line. "Okay." You nodded, placing your hand on his arm momentarily. "I'll see you tomorrow."

"Get some sleep, Y/N." He smiled softly.

Did Jackson suggest you get sleep? Yes.

Did you have other plans besides sleep? Also yes.

"Can I get another vodka martini please?" You questioned the bartender, Josie. You lifted your glass up, as she gave you a small nod, walking over and taking the glass and refiling it with vodka and three green olives on a stick.

"For such a small girl you drink a lot." She brought out, sliding the glass in front of you. "Rough day?"

You took a sip from the martini glass in front of you, "I'm a lawyer in the case against Mason Rose." You said, making Josies eyes peer up from the bottles in front of her. "Rough day would be an understatement."

"Yikes." Josie slid the entire bottle of Vodka next to you. "I think you need this more then anyone else."

When Josie left your area, a familiar voice sat down next to you on another barstool.

"I wouldn't eat the olives if I where you." Matt said, making your head turn towards him as pure anger coursed through your veins. "She doesn't replace them. Those ones have probably been there for about a year."

You looked over, and there Matt was. His sleeves where rolled up to his elbows and his hair was perfectly combed over. The red glasses he wore showed your reflection as he spoke, giving you an idea of just how exhausted you looked.

And God that smirk. That stupid fucking smirk that made you grow weak at the knees.

"We shouldn't be talking to each other." You stated, taking the olives out of your drink and placing them on a napkin, keeping your head low.

"I wasn't gonna bring up work." He shrugged, "I just wanted to see how you where doing. In my defense I haven't seen you since graduation day, so when I read your name on the case file I was a bit shocked." He said pridefully.

"Do me a favor and go back to your homicidal client and leave me alone." You said on the point of breaking. "You know damn well it's not professional for us to be talking right now, whether your here just to ask me how I'm doing or not." You took a large sip from your drink. "Plus your a dick and I don't want to talk to you."

He placed his tongue against his cheek as he slightly scoffed, "Last I remember your the one that broke up with me." He said, turning his head in your direction. "So if we're blaming sides here, your the real dick."

"You left me in my apartment crying on the floor." You said, looking over at him and then back at your drink.

"You said I ruined your life." He responded.

You turned towards him, "Okay, I don't know if your intention was to make me feel like an ass when you came over here, but if it was your doing a great job."

"I'm just here to see how your doing." He repeated.

"Well I'm doing just fine." You said, slamming your glass down. "I'm doing great at work-"

"Okay." Matt said, taking the beer he had in his hand as he took a sip.

"I have a wonderful apartment-"

He interrupted again, "Okay." He took the bottle from his lips, "But that's not what I was asking. I'm asking how your doing."

You looked at Matt confused, "Are you deaf too, Murdock? Because what I just told you was an explanation to your question."

"Your not doing fine." He shook his head, "No, your sitting at a bar that we both know is far from your apartment at-" he paused looking towards the direction of the red lights above the bar, "Jossie what time is it?"

"1:07am."

"At one in the morning." Matt continued, "And your alone. So personally If I was your ex boyfriend from college who knew you extremely well, I would say this is a sign of a Y/N Y/L/N mental breakdown." He placed his beer down.

"Well like you said, you knew me." You said, holding your drink in your hand. "It's been 4 years, you don't know me anymore. Things change Matt, people change."

You stood up, grabbing your bag from the back of your chair as you pulled out a wad of cash and placed it down on the table. You turned to walk out, stopping yourself to turn around towards Matt.

"What happened to fighting for justice, Matt?" You questioned. "What happened to people who do bad things deserve bad things in return?"

"I defend good people."

"Bullshit, your defending a killer and you know it."

"Y/n-"

"If I where you I wouldn't waste your defense skills on yourself." You snapped, "Save it for the courtroom when your defending an asshole who killed my clients family."

You turned around again, pushing the door open.

"Have a nice life, Matthew."

6 Years prior

Matt walked down the stairs into the large game room. The walls where plain and beige besides a dart board and a couple shelves filled with discs for games. The room smelt strongly of weed and pure smoke, making Matt choke on the air as he walked down the stairs.

"And that is the third win tonight boys." You said, standing up and looking around at the group of groaning men with a pleasured look on your face. "I take my prizes in cash thank you very much."

All the men began placing down dollar bills in your hand as you folded them up, placing them in your bra. "On that note, who wants to break?"

"I'm out." One guy said, placing his hands up defeatedly.

"Dude come on, we need 3 on each team to make them even." Jackson said.

"I'm not going against her." He said, walking away. "She just won three weeks worth of grocery money from me."  He pointed at you, "I'm out."

Jackson looked over, seeing Matt standing near the stairs. "You, blind guy." He pointed, "Your on our team."

You looked over at Jackson, then back at Matt who's face seemed amused.

"What's your name red glasses?" He questioned, handing Matt a stick.

"Uh Matt." He took the stick from his hand. "Matt Murdock." He said, shaking Jacksons hand with his free hand.

"Well Matt Murdock, I'm Jackson Beasley and this is my friend Y/n Y/L/N."

Matt's smirk grew larger when he heard your name. He picked up on your breathing, and boy where you pissed.

"You realize he's blind right?" You questioned quietly, hoping Lucas would just call it off.

"You've won three games against some of the best guys I've played." He whispered back, "Show them that even a blind guy can't stop you from winning."

You both did your handshake, pulling back with a smile.

Your smile was quickly cut off by Matt walking up to you, making your face grow soft and pissed.

"Y/L/N." He smirked.

"Murdock." You responded annoyed, rubbing chalk on the pool stick. "I know we may not be necessarily simpatico, but please do not make me loose this game." You passed him the chalk as you harshly pressed it against his chest. "I'm betting enough money to buy myself a new laptop."

"Sweetheart I may be blind but that doesn't mean I'm terrible at everything." He smiled cockily. "Have a bit of faith in me."

"I would have faith if you could actually see your target."

Just as Matt scoffed, your name was being called by Jackson who was standing on the other side of the pool table. California Love played from the speakers on the first floor, making music boom down to where you all were. The small amount of light above you shook up and down from the base, making the light flicker slightly.

You bent over, lining up the ball with your stick. You bit your lip just as you pushed the stick forward, making the ball bounce off of the other side of the table and hit another ball, landing in the end hole back on your side.

You stood up, smiling with pride. "Ouch." You said looking over to the men on your opposing team, "Two in one and we just started."

The men on the other team rolled their eyes, taking their turn and missing their shots. You smiled at the idea of winning, soon being met with a disappointed feeling when Matt went up to the table.

"You mind helping me line up?" He questioned you, bent over the table.

You weren't gonna lie, Matt looked good. His sleeves from his black sweater where rolled up to his elbows, showing veins that where popping from his muscular arms. His back was broad and was pressing against his shirt, offering a small idea of how much muscle was really on his back.

You shook your head, walking over behind him.

"I thought you said you weren't terrible at everything?" You questioned. Your face resting just next to his as you whispered into his ear. You grabbed the back of his bicep as you moved him over a bit, lining him up with the ball. Pure muscle rested under your hand.

"I'm not."

He moved his arm over a bit, completely messing up your work. He hit the ball, sending it crashing into two others which all went into separate holes.

You where still near his face as you watched everything happen with a shocked look on your face. His voice radiated hot air onto your cheek as he whispered.

"Just needed an excuse to get close to you, sweetheart."

Heat rushed to your cheeks as you stood up, this time not from his breath, but rather the way his voice sounded speaking those words. You adjusted your sundress, fixing it around your waist again.

"Your fucking kidding me right?" Your friends asked on the other team. "This dudes blind and he just scored three balls."

"Oh? Did I make it in?" Matt asked, knowing damn well he did. He bit his cheek, holding in a smile that was desperate to flood his lips.

"Yeah." You said in one simple breath. "You played just right." You looked down, having to almost catch your breath.

"Fuck this shit man." Your friend said, "I'm going upstairs to grab a drink. When I get back, we're finishing this bullshit."

"I'll go up with you." Jackson said, pointing at you. "You want anything, Y/N?"

You slightly nodded, "Whatever will get me drunk the quickest."

Jackson chuckled, "Got it." He looked over at Matt. "Anything for you, Murdock?"

Matt nodded, "Just a beer."

When everyone walked up the stairs, you stood shaking your head as you turned around to Matt. He wore a sly smirk on his face as he leaned against the pool table, cocking his head in your direction.

"Something wrong?" He questioned.

You looked up the stairs one more time, then back at Matt. You continued shaking your head as you practically bit the inside of your lip.

"Oh fuck it." You mumbled, rushing over to Matt as you pulled him by the collar and placed your lips against his.

Matt dropped the pool stick on the floor as he grabbed your lower back. His lips collided with yours feverishly as his tongue intertwined with yours. He placed his hand under your left thigh, lifting your leg to his waist as you wrapped it around him.

"Your terrible at taking hints." He said, lifting you up completely as he rushed you to the back wall. "For months I've been giving you obvious hints of how much I want you."

Your back hit the bricks of the wall as Matt grabbed your hands from his neck as he placed them above your head and held them with his right hand as his other held you up.

"Treating me like shit isn't a hint." You said, moaning into his mouth as his warm breath went to the back of your throat. "You wanna fuck me, use your words Murdock." Your back arched, at the feeling of his hands pressing against your skin.

Matt smirked against your lips, "fine then." He dropped your hands down to his shoulders as he used his hand to unbuckle his belt. "You wanna get fucked? I'll fuck you so hard that pretty mouth of yours is crying out my name."

"Less talking, more showing."  You said, getting your hands pinned above your head as Matt pulled down his trousers to his thighs.

He lined up with you, slamming into you harshly as your eyes fell to the back of your head. Every inch of him was inside of you, making you realize just how deep your cunt was able to go.

"Oh my god." You moaned, "Oh Matt-"

Matt used his free hand to reach behind you, grabbing your ass and squeezing it as he pushed in and out of you. He lifted you up as you wrapped both of your legs around his waist so he could get even further inside of you.

You arched your head back as you smiled devilishly to yourself from the feeling of pure ecstasy.

"You like that sweetheart?" Matt asked, slamming into you as your back continuously hit the wall from the motions of his body.

"Don't-" You moaned, "Don't stop-"

Voices came from the staircase, making Matt slow down his motions as he groaned.

"God fucking damnit-" He said to himself, pulling out of you as he slowly placed you down. Noises of people walking down grew louder and louder as he pulled his pants up.

"Bathroom, to the left." You shrugged, desperate for more, "If we hurry they won't see us."

Matt smirked to himself, his mind going crazy at the sound of your needy voice. He grabbed your hand, making a beeline with you to the bathroom.

He locked the door behind him as he hurried towards you again, this time lifting you by your hips and placing you on the sink.

Your lips met once again, the sound of muffled breaths filling the air around you. Your hands roamed his body, going from his shoulders to his chest, then down to his waist where they stopped around his pants.

"Sweetheart-" he said in between heavy breaths. "We do this, your gonna need to be quiet for me. Understood?"

You nodded, pulling his pants down to his thighs again as you both roamed each others lips.

He lifted your sundress off completely, tossing it to the other side of the bathroom. He felt around, unhooking your bra with his hands as the material fell onto your lap. Matt tossed it towards the dress, along with his shirt that you had pulled off of his body.

Matt looked like an absolute piece of art. Your hands met the line of his abs, drawing an outline of each one of the marks it left on his soft skin. Your hands made their way down to the v just above his waist, following it down until finally you made it to his cock.

Matt lined up with you again, this time grabbing one of your breast as his other hand grabbed your waist. He slammed into you, continuing the harsh motions like he had done before.

"Oh God-" He moaned, arching his head back by the feeling of you tightening around him. "Sweetheart you feel like fucking heaven."

He moved one hand down your body as he kept one hand rested on your waist to keep you stable. He placed his face into the crook of your neck as he placed kisses going down your entire body, still keeping the same motion of going in and out of you.

"Faster-" You breathed heavily, feeling your orgasm coming on.

"Faster what?" He questioned, listening to your heartbeat as he railed you.

"Sir-" You moaned. "Faster sir."

Matt pressed his lips against yours as he began to speed up his motions. Your back hit the mirror so harshly you swore you where going to leave a crack in it.

You dug your nails into his shoulders as you arched your back from the feeling of his hand resting on your ass. You smiled at the feeling, holding back the urge to absolutely scream his name.

Everything around you went blurry as the familiar feeling of your stomach dropping took over. You squeezed your eyes shut as the sound of Matt's voice filled your ears.

"Come on, Y/N." He breathed, the feeling of your cunt wrapped around his cock making it hard for him to not moan. "Cum on my cock- be a good girl and cum."

You clenched tightly around Matt as you released onto him, making a loud gasp escape your mouth from the feeling of him ramming into you as hard as he possibly could, hitting your g-string. He released into you at the same time, the feeling of your warm cum intermixing together feeling like heaven and hell all at the same time.

"Is someone in there?" Jackson asked, knocking on the door as you released onto Matt.

Matt took this as an opportunity to test your strength. He motioned to his lips, telling you to be quiet.

"Tell them your in here. Don't mention me." He whispered.

He moved your legs over slightly as he bent down, licking a stripe down your wet pussy.

You gasped at the feeling, digging your nails into Matt's hair as you pushed his head further into you. You moved closer to him, letting his face take over the inside of you.

"I uh- it's me." You said, the feeling of Matt sucking you creating a haze over your words. "Just using the bathroom- I'll be out in a minute."

"Okay well hurry up, we got a game to win." He said.

The noises of footsteps walking away created relief over your entire body.

You looked down, seeing Matt pull back with cum running down his face. His lips where red and swollen, and he wore an absolutely fucked-out expression.

"Good girl." He said, standing up. He pressed a sloppy kiss to your lips as you wrapped your hands around his neck. The taste of your cum sliding off his tongue and onto yours.

"We gotta get back out there." Matt said, pulling back. If he was being honest he could stay this way for hours. You in his arms, absolutely filled to the brim with his cum. The image of it in his head making him that much harder.

You groaned, hopping down from the sink as your legs wobbled. Matt held you by the waist as he chuckled to himself at the feeling of your absolutely shaking body.

"So..." You said, feeling absolutely defeated by his hands on you. "Would you be interested in doing this again?" You questioned, not realizing how much you needed that until now.

Matt shrugged with a smile, "Sure." he paused, stepping closer towards you with his hands still on your waist. "But I would like to take you out first. I'm not a big guy when it comes to one night stands."

"I never agreed to a date, I agreed to getting fucked and that was it." You pointed out, walking over and grabbing your clothes, putting them back on.

"Oh come on." Matt pleaded, "I just gave you two orgasms' in the span of ten minutes. The least you can do is let me buy you a cup of coffee." He could feel the disapproval radiating off you. "Think of it as a reward for you beating my score on our last exam."  He said, throwing his sweater on over his body.

"Just coffee." You said, pointing at him as you walked closer so you where standing right in front of him.

"And sex." He said, taking your finger and pressing a kiss on it.

"Not a date."

"Just coffee and sex."

You rolled your eyes, "Fine. Tomorrow after class."

You turned around, unlocking the door as you hard Matt's voice.

"See you tomorrow, sweetheart."
