Drunk
"Okay, I think that's enough." Matt said, prying the bottle from your hands, making you groan as you fought him for the bottle of brown liquid.
"Matthew Michael Murdock I am an adult." You said, bringing the bottle back to your lips. "A perfectly responsible adult with excellent thinking abilities."
"Your thinking abilities are being consumed by alcohol." Matt said, finally able to get the bottle from your hands. "How about we get you home?"
You threw your head back, "But why would I do that when I can spend the rest of the evening with you and your muscles?" You said, moving your head to Matt's shoulder as you poked your finger at his bicep. "Mr. Muscular Murdock." You laughed.
"Well me and my muscles think maybe it would be best if you drank at home." Matt said, mocking what you said, holding your head up with his hands as he stood up. He got you to sit up fully as he put his arm out for you.
"I'm only agreeing to this because your muscles said so." You said, hooking your arm around his as you stood up fully.
Matt smiled, walking you towards the door. "Your a very flirty drunk."
"Maybe s' just sober me relaying messages." You shrugged, just as Matt pushed the door open and you both left Josie's. "I got one mind Murdock, so drunk and sober me are thinking the same things."
Matt smiled as you kept walking together. His arm was intertwined tightly with yours, keeping you from running into anything as his free hand guided his walking stick in front of him.
"Question." You slurred.
"Answer." Matt replied back simply with a small smile.
"Do you think that daredevil guy is a hero?" You questioned, making Matt's smile fade slowly.
Matt realized how long it was taking for him to respond, making him throw out words quickly. "I uh-, yeah I guess. He seems like he's trying to do what's best." He stated, "Why?"
"I just want to see what you think." You said, clutching your hand around his arm. "Cause I think he's a hero."
"You do?" Matt asked, making his heart grow for you just by the way you spoke so highly of the man in the mask.
"I do." You nodded. "There was a guy at the coffee shop this morning who was saying all this stuff about daredevil and how he was some sort of bad guy." You waved your hand, "I told him to go to hell."
"Y/n." Matt said in a warning tone.
"I know, I shouldn't have!" You admitted, "I figured that if he decided to beat me up I could take him."
"And what if you couldn't?" Matt questioned.
"Well then Daredevil would come beat him up." You replied simply, "Don't you think he would save me for defending him?"
"Daredevil has enough to worry about, I don't really think getting yourself involved in a bad situation is a good idea." He sighed, "But I know for a fact that he would save you. He would do anything for you."
You scoffed, "You act like your him. I don't think he would do anything for me."
"You'd be surprised." Matt mumbled to himself, realizing he should probably change the subject. "How about you crash at my place for the night?" Matt suggested. "I'll take the couch, you take the bed. My apartments closer and that way I can help nurse this soon-to-be hangover of yours."
You nodded slowly, "Good thinking, Muscular Murdock." You laughed.
Matt smiled, "Is that my new nickname?"
"For tonight, yes." You smiled, pressing your head down on his shoulder as he guided you back to his place.
When you arrived at Matt's apartment, he walked you over to his bedroom, placing you down in the bed as he went off to grab some spare clothes.
"You can change into these if you want." Matt said, placing the folded pair of sweatpants and a large shirt down on the bed. "I'm gonna go grab you some aspirin real quick." Matt said, just before he began walking off, leaving behind a trash can next to you.
While he was in the other room you changed into the set of clothes he gave you, placing yourself back under the covers just in time for him to come back.
"Okay, aspirin and water are right next to you." He said, placing down the cup of water and the two pills on his nightstand. "If you need anything I'm gonna be on the couch alright?"
Just as Matt came back in the room, the sound of you hurling up every bit of food and drinks into a trashcan filled the walls of his room.
"Oh God." Matt mumbled, rushing over to you as he placed the cup of water and aspirin down on the table next to you. He crouched down in front of you, moving your hair from out of your face as he held it back.
Matt rubbed your back until you lifted your head up from the trashcan, shaking your head.
"Matt, I'm so sorry." You apologized, making Matt let out a small chuckle as he continued holding your hair back.
"Ah its fine." he said, waving off the comment. "Last time Foggy got drunk he actually threw up on me."
You laughed softly, just as you moved your back down to the bed and let out a sigh of relief. "Thank you." You said quietly as Matt stood up fully, hovering over you as he tucked you in under the blankets.
"Anytime, Y/n." Matt smiled, "I would much rather take care of a drunk you then a drunk Foggy. Your much less aggressive." He said, just as he finished placing the blankets over your body.
"Still, I highly doubt spending your Saturday night taking care of a drunk is the most fun option for you." You slurred as Matt stood up completely, placing his hands on his hips.
"Nonsense, any time with you is a way I want to spend my Saturday night." He said, seeing your face quickly change into a serious one. Even though he didn't feel like you where just a friend to him, he still said something to ease your mind. "Cause we're friends. I like spending my time with my friends. Even if they are incredibly drunk."
It took you a minute before you responded. "Y-yeah." You smiled, "Yeah we're friends."
Silence wavered over you both just before Matt finally spoke, "I'm gonna get to sleep. If you need anything I'm just in the other room, alright?"
You nodded your head, "Okay." You waited until Matt was near the door before talking. "Goodnight Matt."
"Goodnight Y/n." Matt responded back, just as he left the room fully.
