Chapter 3
"Everyone aboard!" A loud voice rang out, catching everyone's attention.
Everyone stopped talking and turned to look at the person they would be sending off. The parents all hugged their child that would be leaving and immediately left to sit in their vehicles and sulk.
Jaehyun realized that. That all the parents had left and the siblings were the ones saying goodbye. Either everyone got along with their sibling to some extent or, the sibling was their emotional plus one attachment or their parental figure more than their own parents. He couldn't speak for them but he did know that that was the case for him and Jaemin. He knew Jaemin would struggle more without him than without their parents.
"Okay, Jaem. I know this is the first time you'll be by yourself so don't panic if something doesn't seem to go right. You can always ask someone or you can just send me a text if you're allowed to use your phone whenever you want, okay?"
"Yes."
"And remember to eat because I don't want to find out you skip meals because you're nervous about whatever."
"I'll remember."
"Mayhaps he can become friends with my brother," Taeyong said, walking over to the two and smiling at Jaemin. "Maybe even with my cousin but he's really loud so I'm not sure if you'd like that."
"Your brother seems nice. Mayhaps they can," Jaehyun agreed, looking at Jaemin with a reassuring smile.
"Hey, Jeno. Come here," Taeyong called out, attempting to have them acquainted there and then.
Jaemin saw the white haired boy walk over to them and he instinctively grabbed onto Jaehyun's arm as a form of protection and reassurance.
"Hey. Don't worry," Jaehyun whispered. "I'm sure he's nice."
"But he looks scary," Jaemin whispered back. "Maybe he's just pretending to be nice now and then he'll be mean."
"That's not likely."
Jaehyun looked at Taeyong who had an amused expression listening to the two brothers whisper. Jeno waited for Taeyong to speak, not seeming to realize Jaemin was in a crisis and when his brother made no effort to make any speech, he just left to make sure his servants had put everything inside the boat for him.
"Look, he didn't even want to hear anything. He just left," Jaemin said with a pout. "Don't worry, Jae, I'll find someone to befriend."
"Okay then, but make sure you won't be a loner, alright? I want you to have fun at school. Have a safe trip."
Jaemin nodded and waved bye before boarding the boat wearily to start his journey to the mysterious school.
._._.
Still arguing on the dock were the three Huang brothers.
"Kunhang and Yukhei, I don't give a fuck about the shirt anymore because I HAVE TO GO!" Renjun complained.
"No. You stay here until we find a solution," Yukhei snapped, still mad and still shirtless, not giving a shit about the girls and guys that gawked at him.
"Kunhang! Just agree to pay or give him the business card so he can get his damn payment! I don't fucking know!"
"Yeah Kunhang, just give me the card or pay in replacement for your crush!"
"That shirt wasn't even THAT important! Why'd you like it that much?"
"Kunhang, you just asked the wrong question," Renjun whispered, stepping behind Kunhang to hide from the angry Yukhei.
"NOT THAT IMPORTANT? BITCH WHAT THE FUCK?" Yukhei yelled, gaining the attention of literally everybody. "I GOT THAT SHIRT FROM JUNGWOO! DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND?! THE ACTUAL LOVE OF MY LIFE! SO DON'T YOU DARE TELL ME THE GODDAMN SHIRT WASN'T IMPORTANT!"
"GOD DAMN BITCH! I DIDN'T NEED MY FUCKING EARS POPPED OFF! FINE ILL PAY THE NINE HUNDRED THOUSAND WON FOR THE FUCKING SHIRT DAMN IT!" Kunhang yelled back, taking out his debit card and throwing it at Yukhei.
The card fell to the ground and Yukhei didn't move to get it and neither did Kunhang so Renjun quickly snatched it and ran to the awaiting boat.
"BYE MOTHER FUCKERS AND THANKS FOR THE DEBIT CARD, KUNHANG!" Renjun yelled, cackling and rushing away before they decided they wanted the debit card after all.
Taeyong and Jaehyun were one of the spectators who stood less than five feet away filled with amusement at the scene.
"My Mother would never allow that kind of speech," Jaehyun chuckled. "She would say, 'Not in my Christian Household' then proceed to scold me for a solid hour."
Taeyong laughed at that and looked at Jaehyun slightly puzzled.
"Christian household? Are your parents Christian?"
"Well, yeah. Everyone in my family is."
"So why is your brother going to a Wiccan school then?"
"Huh? What do you mean? He's going to a Christian school."
"No. The letter clearly stated it was a school for Wiccans," Taeyong explained.
"Wait, what?" Kunhang asked, having had heard their conversation. "That school is neither Christian nor Wiccan. It's for Satanists."
At this point, the four boys were confused as to where their younger brothers were going. Three different religions yet they were going to the same place?
"Are you sure it's the same school?" Yukhei asked uncertainly as the boat started moving.
"They were wearing the same uniforms though. You stupid fuck," Kunhang snappped.
"I wasn't talking to you, goddamn it."
"Well hopefully they'll know what's going on and how to survive," Jaehyun said, a sudden sense of worry for his little brother.
The four watched as the boat began pulling away and decided to trade phone numbers because, why not? Afterall, they all realized something wrong about the school and were all slightly concerned for their siblings who were, unbeknownst to them, causing a riot on the boat.
._._.
"FUCK OFF!"
"NO GOD DAMN IT!"
"OI! DONT TOUCH MY SHIT!"
"I WASN'T TOUCHING YOUR SHIT! ITS OVER THERE!"
Currently, Renjun was in a heated argument with a random boy who had Jeno trying to drag him away. Jaemin, unfortunately, had this as his first real experience in the world by himself and away from his brother.
"Just stop it, Donghyuck. He wasn't touching your shit. Remember, our Goddess doesn't like violence or aggressive nature. You're supposed to be calm."
"Shut up, Jeno. Don't remind me that I'm supposed to be calm. You don't understand the fact that this meat sack was going to sit on MY seat."
"Why don't you just sit on that seat?" Jaemin spoke up, pointing to the seat beside Renjun.
Everyone turned to stare at him, just realizing he was there and he felt small under their stares. Never had he had that kind of attention. Not even in his prim and proper private Christian High School.
"Oh damn, you're adorable," Renjun said as if it was a completely normal thing for him to say.
"I can agree," Jeno said, scanning Jaemin up and down.
"I would agree but the meat sack said it first so I don't want to agree," Donghyuck said, glaring at Renjun.
Jaemin felt heat rise to his face and he looked out the window with a small cough. He was now eighteen and yet he still couldn't properly interact with others his age?
"I can leave the compartment and go to another one so that Hyuck-ie can have this seat if he doesn't want to sit close to- Uhm?"
"Renjun."
"Junnie," Jaemin offered, standing up.
"No, no. Stay. Donghyuck will sit in that seat," Jeno said with an eye smile, pointing at the seat close to Renjun. "And by the way, do you give everyone you meet a nickname?"
Jaemin felt slightly self-conscious when he realized he had been giving nicknames and quickly bowed.
"I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to."
"Oh no. Don't apologize," Renjun said, standing up and walking to him. Donghyuck took that opportunity to snatch back his seat. "I don't mind. After all, you're quite adorable."
"Oh, uh, thanks?"
Renjun laughed and patted Jaemin's shoulder.
"I think I'll go find another compartment. I want to look for the boy that spilled his coffee all over my brother's new shirt."
"Goodbye, fucktard. You won't be missed," Donghyuck said with a large smile, sending a flying saccharine sweet kiss.
Renjun rolled his eyes and left the compartment, leaving his bags there because not even he believed he would be gone for the duration of their trip. Everything went quiet and the three remaining boys just kept to themselves and either tried to sleep or play with one of their belongings.
Everything was quiet but not for long because suddenly it was discovered that Huang Renjun was very handy for gossip.
"Y'ALL'S WON'T BELIEVE WHAT I JUST SAW!" Renjun yelled, throwing their compartment door open and causing Jaemin to nearly fall off his seat.
The energy in his voice was over the top, Donghyuck who loved a good story was instantly sitting up eagerly, waiting to listen.
"Tell!" Donghyuck exclaimed, getting ready to hear what Renjun had to say, completely ignoring the fact that they were yelling at each other minutes before.
"Okay, okay. So back story first," Renjun started, taking a seat across from Donghyuck. "I have two older brothers and I'll tell you their names so it makes it less complicated. One is Yukhei and the other is Kunhang. So when the boy that spilled the coffee on Yukhei tried apologizing and paying, Kunhang didn't allow the payment and prevented Yukhei from speaking. So of course, I knew that meant Kunhang had formed a tiny crush on the boy even though they had just met."
"Oh this is good already," Donghyuck whispered, leaning forward to listen better.
"So Kunhang decided not even five minutes later that he wants to try and apply to get some kind of job at our school just so he can try and get to know Dejun an-"
"Who's Dejun?" Jeno asked.
"Oh. That's the boy that spilled his drink on Yukhei because of you."
Jeno felt a wave of embarrassment go over him when he remembered he was the cause of that accident.
"Wait what?" Donghyuck was confused. He wasn't there when the whole ordeal happened and only arrived when Yukhei and Kunhang began yelling over the coffee stained shirt. "That incident was because of Jeno?"
"Yeah. I can explain later. We're currently trying to listen to what Renjun is saying," Jeno said, pointing his head in Renjun's direction to remind his cousin.
"Okay, so anyways. I was walking down the hall thing and I was peeking through the windows in the door to see if I could spot Dejun and I was giving up because there were only two doors left and when I got to the last one," Renjun stopped for a breath and a dramatic pause, letting his statement hang.
"Then what happened?" Donghyuck asked impatiently.
"Him and another boy were making out. Like heavily making out. Like tongue and all," Renjun said, fanning his face. "I was surprised because I mean, I don't know him but he doesn't look like he'd be that kind of person so currently, I'm wondering how my brother will react when he finds out and how I should break it to him."
"Oh Hesus. This is too good," Donghyuck laughed. "Just don't tell him and let him waste his time and get a job."
Renjun gasped, "That's a GENIUS idea!"
Jaemin was confused. Two boys making out? What? Maybe Renjun accidentally said boy instead of girl. That had to be it. His Mother had always said that boy and girl was the only correct pairing and anything else shouldn't be allowed. But then again, it was an all boys school, weird. Did Renjun actually see that or was it a trick of the light?
Jaemin felt his hands tremble a little bit at the thought. His Mother's words were ringing in his head. What would Jaehyun do in that situation?
