Chapter 20
Jaemin was sitting in art class a week after having the in depth explanation of sacred pleasure, having had the image of the three of them doing it together burned in his brain and half the time, he couldn't focus.
Art class? What a damn perfect place to paint them naked. Really, he should've never had those kinds of images in him but he did and he'd have to get over it.
He was distracted, bored out of his mind solely because he hated art, and whatever the hell his teacher was trying to teach them was definitely not in his interest.
"Na Jaemin, kindly turn off your phone and pay attention," the teacher called out, startling him out of his trance.
It was until then that he realized that his phone had been going off and he hadn't even noticed, even more surprised that he had it on in the first place.
"Sorry. I didn't notice it was on," Jaemin quickly apologized, making it off instantly, but not being able to help himself once he realized it was his brother texting him.
"It's fine. Just listen now and don't make me hold onto your phone."
Jaemin quickly nodded, not really paying attention because Jaehyun texted and his brother never texted unless he knew that he was out of class. And Jaehyun knew he was in class so that fueled his curiosity to open his chat below the deak, nearly gasping and screaming at what he saw displayed on his screen.
"Mom and Dad said you can spend the summer with your 'friends' and that you can bring them home if you'd like as long as they aren't bad influences or whatever. She said you're not supposed to forget to be home for at least a month including your birthday.
Ps: She's supervising what I'm writing over my shoulder."
Jaemin was practically shaking. He couldn't even respond with how excited he was. He simply liked the response and turned off his phone but before he could put it away, it lit up with another text. This time it was from an unknown number but regarded the same thing Jaehyun said.
"Hey, this is Renjun's boyfriend, right? Tell the little shit our Mom said he can bring his boyfriends and tell my other shitty brother he can as well. I feel too lazy to text him so might as well ask you to relay the message to everyone and tell your other boyfriend his brother said that their Mother is excited to meet all of you. I assume it'll be a summer of road trips."
Jaemin automatically figured it was Yukhei. Never had he met him but he had heard enough to know who it was. He quickly responded, saying he'd be sure to tell before paying attention once more.
Suddenly, class seemed like the most exciting thing to exist and he put his utmost throughout the day. Not even his boyfriends could calm him down. They were amused but were at a loss. They didn't know yet and Jaemin was keeping them in the dark.
"Min? What's going o-"
Jeno was interrupted by a sudden pressure against his mouth, Jaemin still excited as his hands cupped Renjun's face and nuzzled their noses together. He was having a moment, much too excited to even be able to say anything at that moment. He felt like kissing the life out of them.
"Ew disgusting," Donghyuck muttered, everyone ignoring him.
"So basically, you two better start packing because we'll be having road trips," Jaemin stated, hoping they would decipher his subtle words and understand what he meant. He couldn’t just say it out right now, could he? He had to make it full of suspense.
It took a while, their brains churning as they tried deciphering what he said. Bags? Road trips? Those three words were enough, realization hitting them delightfully.
"WHAT?! NO WAY!" Renjun screeched, being the one to suddenly pop a kiss against Jaemin's mouth out of literally nowhere.
"YES WAY! WE'LL BE STUCK TOGETHER!"
Jaemin and Renjun held hands, bouncing around as Donghyuck looked at them in disgust and Jeno calmly stood to the side with a beaming smile.
It was so endearing to watch them excitedly begin discussing plans as he basically vibrated on spot. They had so many ideas, so many thoughts but so little time. It was a little over a month until they left and that was both a lot yet hardly any time. In between that time, they had the end of the year exams which meant studying and they had final assessments.
The only times they could really be together and talk was the dead of night.
Dead of night where Jaemin would run to their room, sneak into the living room and pretend he wasn't trespassing before slinking off to where he knew his boyfriends resided.
On such nights, he instructed Donghyuck─ who happily accepted─ to head to his room for the night instead.
Except on one Sunday night before the final two weeks of exams, Donghyuck and Mark were with the three, hanging out in the Satanist and Wiccan dorm.
"Lets sneak out," Donghyuck stated suddenly. "I'm bored and this is our last chance."
"We're supposed to study, idiot," Renjun snarked, going back to following Jeno's hand as he wrote out several practice Math problems. Honestly, he was staring at his hands themselves instead of the Math but hey, at least he was trying his best.
"A break is what we need? Hello? Who's with me?"
No one responded which led to a series of grumbling and mumbling and sudden whining.
"Hyuck, you needa study," Mark explained gently, pointing at his English language book. "I'll help you."
It seemed to work for a total of nine minutes before he was whining again and reluctantly, they agreed, Jaemin stating he'd take them to his favourite place as long as someone brought a flashlight for just in case purposes.
It was supposed to be peaceful, serene, and calming. But who would expect that when Donghyuck seemed to grumble at everything?
First, he grumbled on the walk, then he grumbled about going to the library, third he grumbled in disbelief that no one had told him that the 'horror' stairs went to the roof, he grumbled about being cold, and the final grumble was what took them back to the room.
It had been fine after Mark had handed him his sweater and they lay staring at the twinkling stars. Cool breeze hit them but it was interrupted by rustling in the trees, catching no one's main interest but alerting them.
"The fuck was that?" Donghyuck asked quietly, sitting up to look up at the trees.
"Probably an owl," Jeno responded, assuming that'd be the end.
"I wanna see it."
No one commented on Donghyuck getting up to peer into a nearby tree, figuring a full grown individual could care for himself.
Apparently that assumption was wrong because somehow, he struggled with a flashlight.
Pressing the button to turn it on, he accidentally had it pointing at his face and in seconds, he was screaming over the horribly bright beam of white light that destroyed his precious eyes.
"OH MY GOD! MY EYES!"
"Shut up! Goddamn!" Renjun hissed, making his way over to turn off the light. "No one told you to be an absolute idiot!"
"MY EYES!" Donghyuck wailed, Renjun hissing once more to shut up. "It feels as if someone rubbed a pepper in them!"
"Jen already told you it was an owl yet you insisted on seeing it! You're the only witch ever to be so excited over an owl as if you probably don't have at least a fake one hanging in your house!"
Dongyuck stuck his tongue out childishly and that's when they figured it was the first priority that night or more like that moment to get to sleep.
It was much more convenient to simply all pile in the trio’s room, three horribly squished on a bed but doable and two on a separate bed which left an entire empty one with no one to sleep in it.
Comfortable and warm in the chilly night air so it wasn’t with surprise that they all nearly woke up late if it wasn't thanks to Jaemin's phone blaring out a message notification.
Sometimes it was good if one of them was a light sleeper.
