Chapter five
Once Laxus was sure that Mira was in a deep sleep, he slips out of her bed and grabs her some more appropriate clothing. Once that was done, he gently picks Mira up and makes his way towards the dragon slayer house. “You're mine,” Laxus whispers as he walks, “I'm so glad you're mine.” Mira is an extremely deep sleeper so she won't be waking up anytime soon, not until it's time to get up and go to the guild which she won't be doing for the next week.
Laxus unlocked the door and made his way inside. Once he got the keypad locked back, he made his way towards his room but stopped when Cobra spoke up, “so you did it in the middle of the night?”
“I couldn't eat or sleep until I did.” Laxus grumbles, turning to face him. “I don't know how you're staying away from Kianna.”
“I unfortunately have practice doing that when I'm off with the Oreacion Seis.”
Laxus grunts, “well I don't and it was driving me absolutely insane!”
“I'm going to get her back in bed, I'm tired anyways,” he says, heading towards their room. Laxus laid Mira down on the bed, making sure to grab the cuffs and putting them on her before laying down beside her. He wrapped his arms around her and fell asleep, finally able to relax.
The next morning, Mira awoke with a smile. Sleeping with Laxus gave her the best sleep of her life, she finally feels fully rested. She turned over to look at him, frowning when she didn't recognize the room they were in. “What the hell?” She mutters as she shakes Laxus awake. “Laxus, wake up.”
Laxus groans and turns to face her, “what's wrong?” He grumbles, not opening his eyes.
“Where the fuck are we?”
“Oh right,” Laxus yawns, sitting up. “We're at the dragon slayer house.”
“What are you talking about? Why am I here? Did you bring me here overnight?”
“You're here so that at the end of the week, I can mate you. You'll be confined to this house until the night of the full moon.”
“Excuse me? You can't keep me here!” She exclaims, sliding out of bed. We're about the same level magic wise, you can't overpower me.”
Laxus doesn't reply, he just follows her out of bed and puts his hands on her waist, “don't be mad, I'm doing this for us. Plus, it's a dragon thing.”
Mira sighs, “we aren't even dating, how can we be mates?”
“I can smell your pheromones, I can't think, eat, or sleep without you! I am 100% sure you're my mate! Plus…I plan on asking you out.” Laxus mutters the last part.
“Do you really think I would say yes after you basically kidnapped me!”
“I didn't kidnap you,” Laxus grumbles, “I just brought you here, overnight, without your permission.”
“Do you even hear the words coming out of your mouth?” She asks, rolling her eyes.
Laxus sighs, “alright, I guess it does kinda seem like I kidnapped you, I'm sorry, ok? I just needed you here.”
“You could have asked me to come and explain everything to me.”
“Well mating season is…mating season is interesting. We get very possessive over our mates and we can also get violent if anyone looks at our mates. I didn't want you to not come because I would be possessive.”
Mira leans into him a little bit, “I guess I see your point, but I still wished you would have just talked to me.”
“Sorry baby,” Laxus mutters, grabbing one of her hands in his. “I'll keep that in mind next time.”
Mira felt something brush against her hand when he grabbed hers. Frowning, she looked down, her eyes widening when she saw the cuffs, “Laxus, what are these?”
“Hm?” He asks, looking down. “Oh, those are magic cancelling cuffs.”
“Laxus…” Mira says, no longer feeling bad for the blond dragon slayers, “take these off right now.”
“Not until after we mated.”
“Then let's do it right now!”
“We have to wait for the full moon,” Laxus explains.
Anger builds up inside her, did Laxus really expect her to go without her magic for a whole week? What is he thinking? She needs a plan to get out of here.
“Don't worry though, the other girls are here too. You have free range as long as you don't go outside, but I still want to spend time with you so I don't go insane.”
Mira nods, if the other girls are here, they can come up with a plan, “alright fine, but I'm hungry.”
“It’s Rogue's turn to make breakfast and it smells like it'll be done soon. We can all head down there shortly.” Laxus smiles at her and pulls her onto the bed with him, making her help in surprise, “are you still mad?”
“A little,” she grumbles, snuggling into him.
“I'll just have to fix that,” he smirks, flipping her onto her back. “Do you want to fuck?”
Mira blushes softly, “are the walls sound proof?” Laxus nods and Mira agrees, knowing she can just talk to the girls later. One round won't hurt, right?
Gray and Juvia were on their way back to the guild. Mira is going to kill them when they get there, they took an extra two days because Gray refused to leave the hotel and wouldn't let Juvia leave either. Over the past couple days after activating his demon slayer magic, he's felt himself change. His emotions are out of control and he's found himself obsessed with Juvia. He's been extremely possessive over her and has just been keeping her to himself. Juvia finally managed to get him to agree to go back to the guild, hoping to talk to someone about the way he's acting. Juvia is happy that he's taking a liking to her but he's acting worse than she does, and that's saying something.
Gray held Juvia’s hand as they walked towards the guild. He hasn't let go of her hand since they got off the train and he didn't plan on letting go either. He felt a pull towards her, one that he can't explain. “Hey Juvia after we talk to Mira, do you want to come back to my place?”
“Juvia would love to but unfortunately Juvia needs to get home.” She looked over at Gray and found a dark look in his eyes. “Gray-sama?”
“Let's try this again, Juvia, would you like to come to my place after we talk to Mira?”
“Sure…Juvia would love too,” she frowns, watching as the dark look leaves his eyes.
“Perfect!” Gray exclaims, picking up speed, “let's hurry up then!” Juvia yelps as she walks faster to keep up with Gray.
The two mages walk into the guild hall, looking around for Mira. “Hey, Cana, where's Mira?” Gray asks, walking towards her.
“I'm not sure, she didn't show up today.”
“Oh ok, we'll talk to Gramps then,” Gray says, making his way to his office. Gray knocked on the door and waited
“Come in,” Gramps says, from behind his desk. Gray and Juvia head inside and sit down across from him. “Oh good, the two of y'all are back, did everything go ok? It took longer than expected.”
“Yes, I had to activate my demon slayer magic and afterwards, I felt really off. We stayed in the hotel for a little while longer.”
“I see,” Gramps says, looking up at the two mages. “Are you feeling better now?”
“Yes,” Gray nods. “I think it's just because I haven't used it in a while.”
Gramps nods, “maybe you should make sure you train with it more often then.”
“That's probably a good idea,” Gray nods.
Gramps turns to Juvia, “did everything go ok with you?”
“Yes, Juvia is just fine.” She smiles.
“Good, now I'm sure the two of you have things to do, you may go. However, if you see Mira, can you let her know I need to talk to her?”
“Of course,” Gray says, as both he and Juvia leave the room, closing the door behind them. “Let's go to my place,” Gray says, grabbing Juvia's hand.
Juvia wasn't really sure if she wanted to go to his place with him acting like this but she also felt that it was better to just agree with him right now. “Sure,” she nods.
Gray smiles as the two of them head towards his house. “What do you want for dinner?” He asks, glancing at her.
“Juvia isn't hungry right now, maybe later.”
“Alright,” Gray nods, unlocking the door to his house. Once inside, Gray flops down on the couch, “come and sit, we can watch TV.”
Juvia nods and sits down beside him, laying her head on Gray’s shoulder. “Is Gray-sama ok?”
“I'm fine, are you ok?” Gray asks, frowning.
“Juvia is fine,” she nods. “But Gray-sama is acting weird.”
“I'm not acting weird,” Gray scoffs. Juvia rolls her eyes and drops the subject. While the two of them watched TV, Gray was subconsciously causing ice to form on the lock.
Not more than a few hours later, Juvia’s eyes started to flutter shut. She was doing her best to stay awake but it didn't look like that would be happening anytime soon. As her eyes fully closed, Gray looked down and smiled softly. “I'll let you sleep here tonight,” he says, picking her up bridal style, heading towards his bedroom.
Nudging the door open with his foot, he laid her down on his bed and brought the covers up over her. “Good night,” he whispers, climbing in bed beside her. He wasn't ready to go to sleep but he wanted to stay with her. He was most definitely still feeling weird, what was going on? It can't just be his magic, can it? It feels like something inside him has changed. Can his magic change him this much? Plus, Juvia thinks he's acting weird, is he acting weird? No, not that weird, he just doesn't want to be away from her. Gray sighed as he finally let himself fall asleep, wrapping his arms around Juvia.
