MADISON'S POV

I looked up from the book I was reading when I heard the office door open. 

After Isabella brought me back to the Pack House, she let me take a shower and got me some better clothes. After I had finished getting ready she had brought me to her office where she was going to tell her parents, Beta, Lead Warrior, Lead Hunter, and Lead Scout about me. 

We had been waiting for about ten minutes before the first people showed up. 

Two people walked into the office with confidence high-ranking members had. Their smell was similar to Isabella's letting me know that these two were her blood. The woman was tall and thin with long brown hair and brown eyes. The man was tall and broad like an Alpha usually was with slicked-back black-hair and bright green eyes. 

I went back to my book as Isabella looked up from the paperwork she was working on. "Mother, Father, thank you for coming," she said. 

"Hello, dear," the woman said, "what did you call us here for?"

The doors opened again and four people walked in. They all bowed their heads in a sign of respect for Isabella before sitting down. The man and woman sat down as well. "Thank you all for coming on such short notice," Isabella said, "this is very important"

'Get your nose out of the book and at least try to make a good impression on your future pack members and parents-in-law' Moonlight hissed. 

I reluctantly did as I was told by my wolf and watched the interaction. "Today I found my mate while I was running through the forest," Isabella said. 

"Oh, that's wonderful!" a woman with strawberry blonde hair and dark brown eyes said excitedly. 

"Who's the lucky guy?" a boy with brown hair and brown eyes who looked like Isabella's mother asked with a grin. 

I winced. Isabella scratched the back of her neck, "her name is Madison Faber" she said as she looked over in my direction. 

They all snapped their heads towards me in shock. I stood up a bit straighter under all the attention, "it's nice to meet you all" I said. 

"I knew this was a horrible idea" muttered Isabella's mother. 

'Wait- what?' Moonlight asked, 'she doesn't-'

"You're mated to a girl?!" the woman shrieked. 

I flinched at the sudden high-pitched voice. My senses are better than a normal wolf and that shriek made a head-ache come along. "Mother, there isn't anything I can do about it" Isabella sighed, "what is so wrong with having a girl as a mate?" 

'Religious?' Moonlight asked me. 

'Definite yes' I replied. 

"I think this is great," the black-haired boy with gray eyes said. 

"I agree. They are mated for a reason" a black-haired girl with gray eyes said. The two were identical except for the fact that they were of the opposite gender. 

"B-but it's not right!" the woman cried. 

"A lot of things in this world are not right but people learn to accept it" I spoke up. The woman glared at me. 

'And Dustin thought I cared what this woman thought' I heard Isabella say to her wolf. 

'At least we get to see Madison act like this' Dawn said. 

I glanced at Isabella who was still zoned out. My gaze was torn away from her when my senses zeroed in on blood. I pushed off the chair and walked out of the office. I walked down the stairs and followed the scent. 

There was a lot of it. I walked out of the house. "Madison!" Isabella called, "where are you going?" I ran into the forest. It was closer now. I could hear people following me but I didn't pay any mind to them. 

"Luna" I whispered as a familiar girl came into view. Her body was lying limp in a pile of leaves that were covered in blood. Her body was scratched up. I heard a heartbeat but it was very slow. 

I used my enhanced speed and ran over to her. My wolf growled. She was just as angry as I was. I knelt down next to her. 

'Claw marks' Moonlight said, 'Rider' 

"Oh, my Lupin" Isabella said as she rushed over. The black-haired twins rushed over as did Isabella's brother. 

I focused on Neanderthal, Luna's wolf. 'Wake up, Luna, please' Neanderthal pleaded. 

'Nee' I said. 

'Madison! Help her, please! If we die then we won't get to find our mate and we didn't get to say goodbye to mom and dad!' she whimpered. 

I set my hand on her shoulder. A red light danced across her skin and cuts until her marks were gone and the only thing left was red lines that looked like teeny scratch marks. "Well, shit," Isabella's brother said. 

I took off the hoodie I was wearing and carefully put it on Luna. 

'Tell her that she doesn't know who I am' I said to Neanderthal. 

'Okay,' she said. 

Luna sat up causing every to jump back. Her Lapis colored-eyes were wide in fear and were alert. Her breathing was heavy and her body was trembling slightly. "What's going on?" she asked, her voice trembling with fear. She looked down at her body. She tilted her head, "and what the heck is this?" she fingered the bottom of the sweatshirt. 

She was completely naked underneath so I thought it was best to put this on her. "That would be a sweatshirt," I said. 

"No crap" she muttered. She flopped onto her back, "where am I?" she asked. 

"Black Granite Pack" Isabella replied, "I'm Isabella Moore, the Alpha" 

"Nice to meet you. I'm Luna...Everdeen" she said.
