Ch.3
Autumn
I glare at the Haruka. First of all, my ass is already bruised as hell and my ribs hurt more than a kick to the boobs. Well, more like a violent agonizing squeeze, like the person forgot they were attached to a human being and- ya know what, I'm getting off track, thing is my body hurts.
Everyone is out for the day, as we get our sensei tomorrow. Supposedly some stupid meeting came up so we have to wait an extra day. No ones coming back to this damn classroom until tommirow morning... Not as if anyone would stop this anyway. Kids are little assholes, man. Mean to be mean.
She continues to strain my hair, and I can feel a few strands rip out. But instead of panicking, or fighting back, I look around. I've learned my lesson. If you fight back, she goes crying to her teacher about how "this mean girl hurt me! I'm so innocent!"
Her little minion, Hakurai, cackles and the blue haired boy quivers. What a group... damn my head hurts.
It's a real pain. Oh look, I made a joke.
Something catches my eye. The boy. He's shaking like a leaf, looking horrified. Poor kid got dragged along. He looks terrified. His pupils all shrunk, yet his eyes are wide. He doesn't fit in this situation at all. It's like putting a piece from a kids puzzle in with a piece from a complicated, realistic adult puzzle.
Hey head is jerked upwards in the middle of my thoughts.
"AYATO!" Little miss Smurf hair screeches, causing the blue haired boy to flinch, looking at her. I'm guessing that Ayato then.
"Come here. Now." He shuffles foreword, still obviously terrified. Now that he's closer, I can get a good look at him. He's a cute kid. Like in a puppy way. If he wasn't hunched over, he would be a lot taller, I can tell. He tries putting on a calm face, but he's failing miserably.
"Hit. Use those big strong arms of yours. You're covered in muscle, give her a good beating. Make her regret talking back to us!" He flinches back, raising his hand a bit, but he's shaking like crazy. His eyes are wide, a horrified and regretful look flooding them.
I stare him in the eyes. He looks intimidated. Heh. By the weak little math nerd on the floor. What a kid.
"B-but... Gah-!" A slap resounds, the boy now having a red mark on his face.
"What the hell did I just tell you?! I'm the alpha! The older sibling! I'm in charge!" If possible, who I'm gonna go with being Ayato Hiashi now, shakes even more.
He squeezes his eyes shut, and raises a fist.
I brace myself.
Face. Ribs. Back. Arms. Head. Neck.
Heh. He's a strong kid... but he's so weak at the same kind.
I catch a glimpse of his face. Tears. Scared eyes. He's traumatized. He doesn't know how to be strong. Abusive sister like that witch? Of course he would be scared.
"Heh... g- gah! Going e-easy on me today? Th-that's unlike you, Haruka! Heh... Hn-!" I feel a bruise on my side rub against the floor.
"Ayato. Silence her." His eyes shake. His hands shake. His body shakes.
A hand wraps around my throat. "Keep it there." The world gets slightly blurred. I won't fight back... I'm not that weak. I'm not gonna be the same as her. Dad says you shouldn't fight back. You hurt people when you fight back. Dad's always right.
I learned that early. Dads a smart man. You should never fight unless you truly have to. Like someone has the intent to kill you. What I'm training for.
'Don't waste your strength on mere rabbits when one day you'll be hunting moose.'
He knows what he's talking about.
Some people may call it a case of Stockholm syndrome. I don't think I would ever call it that though. She may beat me up, but it's not like I like her. I just deal with it because I don't want to become the same thing.
Tch. I'm thinking all this trash with black clawing at the edges of my vision. My brains foggy. I can feel his grip loosen though, letting me get a strained breath through, just enough to get some oxygen in.
"I-uhm, I think that's enough Haruka! We can let her go now!" Haruka doesn't respond at first. But then, she frowns.
"Just a bit longer." What a little bitch. I can barely figure how a brother to THAT could be so merciful.
"10 second, Ayato. 10."
His hands shake, and he concentrates on what seems to be my hair. He's keeping his mind off what he's doing.
"9..."
My hands twitch, and my vision blurs.
"8..."
...
"7..."
My hands unconsciously raise up, but I try to hold back my weak appendages.
"6..."
My hands claw at his, wheezes coming from my throat.
"5..."
My tears run down his hand as they drip off my chin. I'm blacking out. Pained sounds scratch out of my throat. It hurts...
"4!"
It's numbing...
"3!"
I can see it in his baby green eyes. They're screaming at me. 'I don't want to...!!!'
"-I CAN'T DO IT!!!"
The force releases, and I fall down coughing roughly. I submerge myself in the feeling of air reaching my deprived lungs.
I'm coughing over and over again, and to my surprise, another thump resounds as another body joins me on the floor.
Ayato. I can't see his face, but I can see his blue hair. He pushes himself up, showing off a pulsing red mark on his face.
"UGH!!! YOU COULDN'T HOLD IT FOR TWO SECONDS!!! She wasn't going to die! She wasn't even gonna pass out anyway!"
He shakes, and I notice something new. He's looking down at his hands as they curl into fists. He's disappointed in himself. Because he didn't finish.
Or is it because he did such a thing in the first place?
I suck in a sharp gasp when Haruka kicks my side one more time. "Come on Ayato. I'll straighten you out when we get home."
Haruka grips his collar, walking away with him and Hakurai. But at the last second, he looks back at me. His mouth moves in silent words.
'Park, 7 A.M. I'm sorry...'
What a fucking day.
