RUBY JANE DIAMOND, AKA test subject number 012 used to be a total nerd. Now you definitely wouldn't believe it if you met her now, but there was a time when she insisted on going by RJ, wore comically large glasses, and played Dungeons & Dragons as RJ the Rogue--wishing to be like the super heroes in her comics whilst unaware of the power she had bubbling beneath her skin.

But like a trick of fate, one of her best friends Will Byers ended up being taken to the very dimension Ruby was not supposed to know about, and Ruby Jane ended up sustaining a head injury from El's vanquishing of the Demogorgon that put her in a coma for 2 weeks. Which Ruby Jane's caretakers Sharon and Harvey Diamond both new that if she woke up remembering, they would both be in deep shit for. So, Ruby Jane's memory was wiped by her older sister Dottie (010), and replaced with fake memories that changed her personality completely.

But now it was the summer of 1985, the pools are open, starcourt mall just opened, and... Oh, now she has nosebleed inducing visions of her past life, and premonitions of a shadowy figure coming to destroy Hawkins.
