chapter 6, part 2

Ethan Sebastian McGarret

It has been two days already maybe we should go to her, maybe she has made a decision. I think while anxiously pacing around my study. 'Stop your whining. You sound like a pup that doesn't know what it has to do and we both now what we have to do.' Growls my wolf at me.

I sit down in my chair with a huff. 'We can't just do that Bastian, if we do that we can lose her forever.' I jump up, making the chair fall over with a loud thud. 'What we need is a plan. We need to let her get to know us because if she does, she can't say no in the end.' My wolf growls in disappointment. 'It is better than staying away from her while she is two doors away.' He huffs. I just have to make a plan that will make this possible.

Picking the chair up from the ground and pushing it under the desk, I go to the window and take a look outside. My study looks out onto the trainingfields and the woods. On the trainingfields I see a couple of wolf still laying down from the training session a half a hour ago. 'What are the still doing there?' I ask Sebastian. He just snickers and mumbles something along the line of beats me.

The knocking sound in the door gets my attention immediately. Maybe it is her, I think hopefully but with one sniff my hope is crushed. 'Come in Aiden.' I say sounding disappointed and turn back to the window. 'What do you need.' I continue in the same tone. Aiden walks up to me and places a hand on my shoulder. 'Come up, Ethan. Don't be so down, you look like a punished pup.' He laughs. Not finding it funny, I growl at him.

He just shakes his head at me and continues laughing at my misery. It is then that I smell it, the subtly scent of vanilla and melon. I step closer to him and sniff wich is immediately followed with a growl. 'Why do you smell like her.' I bark in his face while pressing him against the door. 'The dirty, little, sneaky bastard has been with her.' My wolf growls madly. Aiden looks at me with a shocked expressions that turns into one of amusement. 'Chill bro, I just went to her to give her some food. It is not look someone else will do it.' He gives me his famous smirk. I let him go and turn my back to him. While I try to hide my embarrassment.

Dammit, are you attacking your best friend because he is making sure that your mate is okay while that is exually your job. I think madly at myself. 'You know I have a idea to cheer you up and make sure you don't kill anybody with your new training routines.' Aiden says with a amusing tone in his voice. I turn around and raise my eyebrows at him. 'Go on.' I say while ignoring the second part of his sentence. It will come up later.

'While I was telling Anni-' I cut Aiden off. 'Anni? You call MY mate petnames?!' I yell at him with a furious glare but he just ignores my outburst and continuous. 'What is was saying; while I was telling Anni about my day the training sessions came up and she was asking if she could come to them.' I feel my hope rising again when I pick up what he is saying. 'But I told her that it was probably not that good of a idea because the others would't be okay with it.'
He continues without a care in the world, while I am ready to ripe somebodies head off.

'So, I came up with this brilliant idea; you could get her private training. You would be alone with her and would stop beating the rest of us up because she and you are not talking.' He says with a devilish smirk while I am just standing there with a confused expression on my face. 'We have been a lot harder with the training.' My wolf snicker in the back of my mind and then it clicks. I, Ethan Sebastian McGarret, could be hours alone everyday with my mate. I practically break my face with the huge grin that is plastered on it.

This could actually work. It was the plan I needed. Forgetting that Aiden is still standing in the room I do a little victory dance but stop abruptly when I hear a small snicker from my left. Clearing my throat I thank my best friend. He just slaps me on the back and turns around. 'I need to get the starving vamp something to eat. So excuse me, I will see you in a bit.' He starts walking to the door but I stop him before he can reach it. 'I can bring her some food. I have been acting stupid for the past two days, it is time that I man up.' Aiden laughs and this time I join him.
