Chapter 3
Reese
I rubbed my forehead in frustration; Lucas just won’t stop blabbering about Friday night adventure.
“Dude, I still can’t believe it. I mean you had an unforgettable night with that hot brown headed girl, I was about to go to her but you man, swooped right in, stealing my thunder." He complained I chuckled. I imagined telling him the girl was his sister's best friend Noelle, he would throw up all his intestines due to all the things he had said about her for the past two days.
“Then tell me her name? Jesus! Reese! Or should I force it out of you? I need to know the queen of my heart right now,” he demanded, dramatically placing his hand on his heart.
We were inside the school buildings; I was taking out my books from my locker into my bag while Lucas leaned two lockers away.
“Hi Reese,” a tiny black-haired girl said immediately I shut my locker. She was leaning on the other side. I think her name was Chelsea or something, I wasn't sure. She was a cheerleader or so.
"Do you want to stop by my house later? Am home alone.” She purred, biting her lips as a crazy effort to look sexy, but was failing miserably. I couldn't tell her that, but Lucas could.
I opened my mouth to reply but Lucas beat me to it. "Sorry...Lara, his kinda busy right now,” he said and she blushed in embarrassment.
“Actually, it’s Nina. So you would call me right?” she said, touching my biceps.
“Of course, you can count on it," I replied, giving her my jaw-dropping smile, she handed me a folded piece of paper which I added to the rest in my wallet.
I watched the girl disappear down the hall to her friends. She whispered something to them and they all giggled excitedly.
“Girls,” I muttered under my breath before turning around to face Lucas.
“So who is she?” he asked, I gave a tired sigh. He just wasn't going to give up anytime soon.
“Trust me, man, you don’t want to know." He looked at me confusingly. Lucas was protective of Noelle and especially Aria. So the chances of my face getting rearranged were pretty high.
“What! Why!”
I rolled my eyes, “just forget it." I sauntered away from him and his overflowing bag of questions.
“Hey, where are you going?” He yelled behind me as I walked down the hallway towards the bathrooms. I ignored the girly voices calling out my name.
I needed a quickie.
“Not your problem,” I turned and yelled back at him from across the hall. He already started walking towards our homeroom. I walked on till I turned back to see Lucas chatting with Noelle, who was smiling at something he said.
She looked great today. She was wearing black jean pants, a tank top, and a denim jacket. Ever since Friday, I couldn’t get her out of my mind. That's was the reason I needed a make out session.
Almost running into the bathroom, I ran into one of the cheerleaders and from the looks of it, she looked quite happy to see me.
“Hey, Reese. Didn’t see you there,” she said, batting her eyelashes at me.
“Have been here waiting for you all day babe," I said, throwing her a smug smile. That pickup line, always made the girls go weak in the knees.
Adding to the cheery on the cake, I ran my fingers through my black-brown messy hair. Girls always told me it was a blessing to mankind. Even my mom did once. It was a very long time ago...
“I think we shouldn’t keep you waiting for too long,” she said, rushing us both inside the girl's bathroom and into one of the stalls.
I knew it was the girl’s bathroom, but I didn’t give a fuck. It’s not like the school rules were pleasing to follow.
