Chapter 11
Reese
I jumped into my car for the second time today back to school. I winced in pain when I sat back on the comfy car seat. My trainer, Barrett worked me up telling me over and over again that Randy was unbeatable.
I had never seen the guy's face before. As wrestlers, we got to dress up in crazily, psyched uniforms and after the match, we took them off, but Randy never did. He was either all dressed up or gone MIA. Only a few people knew about his identity.
Tempted to ditch practice earlier, I flopped down on my sofa as Lewis texted me that coach wanted everyone at practice. I cursed Barrett every time I had to move. Soon I accelerated down the familiar roads for the second time.
Lucas kept his distance from me and Lewis all through practice. Not like we wanted to talk to him but still... I thought as Coach blew his whistle "100 laps boys! Anderson move along!!" He yelled.
I snapped out my thoughts just as Lewis nudged me. Quickly I did as instructed, mouthing "thank you" to Lewis.
"Sorry Coach," I yelled loud enough for him to hear, ignoring the aches all over my body.
All of a sudden, I caught sight of Aria's and Noelle's friend, Sapphire lurking at a corner, watching someone intensively. I followed her gaze and she was staring at Lucas.
What the hell! And when I turned around she was gone.
"Better be sorry now son, cause if we lose next Friday. I won't be sorry when I give you all cafeteria duty. And you three; Anderson, Tate, and Stone are going to be the cooks."
Everyone laughed, Lewis and I shared a secret smile. That's if we could be present, seen or found on the school premises if that ever happened.

By the time practice was finished, it was already late. I came out of the shower after practice with a towel tied around my waist. I ignored the loud chatter and the smell of sweat and dirty socks.
I headed straight to my gym locker and pulled out my clothes, getting dress quickly I slammed my locker shut and walked out of the large gym alone.
The school's gym was big. It was divided into two large parts; one for basketball, and the other for swimming.
You should have left with Lewis, a voice at the back of my head said. Lewis had to leave early because he wanted to take his niece's dog, Milo, back to her house and he left early. While Lucas; not caring to wash up left the gym hurriedly.
I stepped out of the gym and into the hallways. It looked well...creepy. The school was always full of people and now, it felt like a cemetery; well except the loud gym.
My mental schedule for the rest of the day was cleared leaving only two things to do; dinner and sleep.
Today was Friday, Lucas and I day off. I was kicking back and chilling in my house whilst Lucas was somewhere doing weird stuff.
I got close to the school's double doors when suddenly, I was pulled and slammed into a cold, hard locker.
I groaned in pain, tried to throw a punch but the person caught my hand, slamming it too to the locker. I hissed in pain at the impact. I was already exhausted from my activities I had done today. Why did the person come for a fight when I was about to pass out.
"It hurts doesn't it?" A slightly familiar voice muttered.
I raise my head to meet our school's quarterback, Aaron, glaring slits at me.
Now I was surprised, Aaron and I never talked. We were both from different sides of the railings. And I always thought of him as a buzzkill. And he clearly looked like one! The perfect gentlemen charade he came up with was pretty stupid!
"What the hell man?"
He grimaced, still holding my hand in place as I smiled smugly at him. Even this tired I'll manage to beat him hands down.
"You had the fucking nerve to f*ck Noelle at the club you f*cker," he yelled loudly, punching the locker inches away from my face.
My mouth dropped as I stared at him. How did he know that? I haven't met anyone who knew the girl so I assumed nobody saw but he cleared my doubts. I've been trying to get Noelle out of my mind for the past week and was doing a very good job until he came and ruined it.
He chuckled lightly before releasing my hand. "How do I know? I know that's the question you're burning to ask. Don't worry, I'll tell you."
"I don't want to—"
"I know almost every single detail in her life. Am so close to achieving my goal, I won't let you ruin it." He growled.
One look at the guy, I saw he was crazy like a madman. "You're crazy man!"
Confusion filled my face. "So why are you yapping at me? Do I LOOK like her or a girl? If you have a deal with her go to her," not after receiving a punch from me first. I added under my breath.
I pushed him off me and started walking away. I barely got to the doors when he spoke up, "I have seen the way you look at her this past week. You want her." He stepped up to me again. I stopped, spun around and stared at him straight in the face.
"So what if I want her, I want more. You can stop me from having what I want. Geez! Why are you running after one girl when you already have one you're pinning over." He raised his eyebrows at my last sentence.
Then instantly, it fell into place. "She is your mystery girl," I muttered.
"Ditto," He said smugly. "That's too bad you know. Because I always get what I want." I countered with a smirk.
"And I also play to win and trust me, you can't win." He stated.
"We see about that. She doesn't even look at you like she likes you, she likes you as a friend," I said. Before he could think of a reply, I slammed him into a locker. Dusting off the imaginary dust on my palms, I drag myself out of the school.
