Brush

Masato left the bathroom and strolled down the hall. He peaked through the cracked open doorway that emitted a line of light on his pale face.

"Ren?"

The strawberry blonde looked up from his shoe. He was seated on his bed and had just finished tying his laces into messy bows.

"Yeah?"

"Ready?" Hijiri's hands help up a small cosmetic bag suggestively. Jinguji nodded and rose to his feet. He stepped over and held the door wide open for his roomate to come in. They both sat down on Ren's soft mattress with their bodies faced to each other. Masato immediately began to take out a variety of brushes and colorful palettes - most of which he wasn't even going to use at the moment.

"You look cute~" Jinguji smirked as he gazed over Masa's costume. He had a headband with an attached halo, and a white glittery vest paired with a gold tie. On his back were a small set of feathered wings.

"You're the one who helped picked it out.." Masato muttered, his cheeks heating up from embarrassment as he heard Jinguji chuckle. They had both planned their costumes together: Masato was an angel and Ren was his counterpart.

Hijiri had offered to do the makeup for both of them as his hand work always turned out perfect. He already had his face covered with foundation and decorated with subtle hints of gold glitter across his nose like sparkly freckles.

"Black or red?" He held up two different colors of glitter for Ren to choose, both of which matched his color coordinated outfit.

Ren furrowed his eyebrows and placed his hand on his chin, darting back and forth between the two while dragging out a "Hm".

"The red will go with your tie." Masato added in, low-key trying to make Ren pick faster. It worked.

"Then, red it is."

The temporary markup artist dipped a brush in the glitter and lifted it towards the man's face. As soon as it's hairs touched his cheek, Ren couldn't help but let out a giggle. Masato withdrew the brush, a bit startled by the sudden outburst, "what?"

"Nothing, nothing." Jinguji shook his head. Masa tried to apply the brush again. He only got three swipes in before Ren bursted into full on laughter.

"Ren!" Masato yelled, starting to laughing himself - not even knowing why. Laughter really was contagious.

"I'm sorry!"

"You need to stop moving!"

"But it tickles!"

"I don't care, stop!"

Ren suddenly went silent as Masato placed his gentle hand on Jinguji's face, trying to his head straight. He had completely forgot about keeping his eyes shut and was now staring at the focused face that stood in front of him. He could feel his heart race whenever Hijiri's eyes would unintentionally lock with his own.

Within another glance, Masa caught hold of the soft smile that took place on his lips. The blue-headed boy let out a small, breathy giggle, "What now? It tickles again?"

"No." Jinguji shook his head as he continued to watch the other's face, "No, it's nothing."

After they finished up, Masato picked up the sprawled out products from the bed and zipped them back into their bag. Ren  opened his phone camera, using it as a mirror to see his new look.

"Masato."

"Yeah?"

"Don't I look devilishly handsome~?" Ren grinned at his own sly pun. He chuckled as he watched Masato roll his eyes with a palm over his mouth, trying to hide his shameful smile. He couldn't give Ren that victory.

"That was an awful pun.."
