The Mute's Story (4)

Seokjin's POV

It's been a month since I was there, and during that time I feel that my days are not as smooth as that, I have got a roommate, his name is Hoseok, he looks quiet and his face is not so friendly so I never greet him, he knows I am mute and decided to don't talk to me and I don't mind that. He is also in the same major as me, but I rarely meet him in the same class.

This morning, I was getting ready to go to my first class when I found him still sleeping in his bed, it seems he came home late last night because when I slept I haven't seen him come home. So I decided to leave without waking him up.

When I walked towards the campus building which is not so far from my dorm building, I saw Jimin walking from another direction, I ran towards him and greeted him, and he smiled at me as usual.

"Hi, morning Jin," Jimin says and I just give him my hand language, and say good morning.

"Jin, I want to invite you tonight to my birthday party, can you come?" Jimin said and I was surprised, I immediately took my phone and wrote something there.

"Why didn't you tell me? I didn't prepare anything for you,"

"Oh no you don't need to prepare anything, come tonight to my apartment, not far from here, okay?" Jimin said.

"Okay, I'll be over, and I'll buy you a present, Happy birthday Jimin," I wrote on my phone and showed it to him.

"Thanks, Jin," Jimin hugged me and we went into the classroom. That morning for some reason it felt very cold, luckily I was wearing my sweater, maybe because the sky was hazy and thunder started to sound, it looked like it was going to rain.

Sure enough, while I was in class listening to the explanation of the material from my lecturer, I heard the sound of thunder again, maybe it was already raining outside. The class didn't last long, so we got out early, and it was still too early for lunch.

"Jin, I need to go to the toilet first, you just wait in the cafeteria, okay?" Jimin said and I just nodded and went to the cafeteria on the ground floor. I can see the rain falling heavily. Before I entered the cafeteria, I saw someone, no, but two people making out near the entrance, they were kissing shamelessly in a public place.

But when I got closer and wanted to go in, suddenly the man called me, I knew it was him but he was busy with the man in front of him so I thought he wouldn't know if I passed him.

"Dumb," the man said and my steps immediately stopped, I think I was afraid of him, and that's why my body responds to his voice.

I turned to him and was shocked because the man in front of him was Hoseok, my roommate. But I didn't say anything, of course, because I was mute.

"Where is your boyfriend? He's not with you today?" The man said and I was confused what he meant.

"Answer, you can move your stupid hand to answer right?" the man said.

As he asked, I used my hand language to say that Jimin wasn't my boyfriend, if he was thinking the same person and as usual he laughed and so did Hoseok.

"Are you an idiot? We don't know what you mean," Hosoek said.

"Oh babe, he can't be an idiot, he managed to get into Seoul University because of a scholarship, he must be very smart, and do you guys enjoy being together in your room?" the man said.

"Oh really? I won't be tempted by a dumb guy like this," Hoseok turned towards the man and pulled him to drop the kiss, making me immediately turn my face and go back into the cafeteria.

I sat down at a table for two, I wasn't hungry yet, so I decided to just wait for Jimin there, I picked up my phone and saw that my father and my two younger brothers had sent a message. That makes me happy and reply to them one by one.

From Daddy: Don't forget to have breakfast, and take good care of yourself, I think it's going to rain, so make sure you wear warm clothes and bring an umbrella, I love you, my son.

From Jin: I love you too Dad, I put on your sweater, I miss you so much, don't go to the sea, if the weather's bad, okay?

But my dad didn't reply to my messages right away, maybe he was busy doing other things, so I replied to messages from my brothers.

From Namjoon: Hyung, I did it!!! I managed to get a scholarship to study in London

From Jin: Oh really? thank goodness, Namjoonnnn, you succeeded, I know you will succeed, and you will do your best, hyung is proud of you

But he also didn't immediately reply to my message, so I opened another message from Taehyung.

From Taehyung: Hyung

From Jin: Tae, I just finished class, what's wrong? where are Daddy and Namjoon? Are they not at home?

From Taehyung: I love you hyung

From Jin: What's wrong? why are you suddenly talking like that? Hyungs love you too

From Taehyung: It's raining heavily here, so take care of yourself, hyung, I miss you so much

From Jin: Did something happen?

But he also didn't reply to my messages right away, I couldn't think of anything at that time, I was just confused why they didn't reply to my messages right away, that's not what they usually do.
