nova's pov

I wake up with Justin's arms wrapped around my body. I smile looking down at him sleeping.

"Good morning princess," he says startling me.

"You thought you could get away with staring at me without getting caught babygirl?"

My cheeks start to redden, I was sure he couldn't tell I was blushing though because of my caramel coated skin.

"You were quite scared last night. Are you still scared?"

"I'm fine," I roll my eyes.

"So we're back to that," he replies unwrapping his arms from my body, as he repositions himself on the bed.

"Back to what?" I scoff.

"You being mean and not even trying to be friendly for once."

"I can be friendly if I want thank you very much. I just choose to not be with idiots like you."

"What about our deal?"

"What about it? I said if you don't annoy me I would kiss you, I don't remember saying anything about me not being a total bitch to you over this weekend."

He sighs running his hand through his blond tousled hair.

"Could you try to be nice to me for once Nova?" he says looking up at me.

We have an intense staring contest that only lasts about two minutes before I give in.

"Fine I'll try," I say exhaling a breath I was holding in.

He smiles. "Good we should go to the beach then."

"Shouldn't we wait until we reach Florida? They have really nice beaches in almost every city."

"They also have some nice beaches here in North Carolina, and I really would want to enjoy myself before we head back onto the road princess."

"Can you stop with the pet names already?" I whine.

"Only if you come with me."

"I don't have a bathing suit though."

"Neither do I. This whole road trip was kind of spontaneous."

I roll my eyes. "No really Justin it doesn't take a genius to figure that one out."

"Nova."

"Justin," I say mockingly.

He sticks his tongue out at me making me snicker causing him to shyly smile at me.

"We could go in our boxers."

"I don't wear boxers."

"Then you can go in your bra and panties," he smirks.

I cringe, I absolutely hated the word panties. I preferred undies or underwear those words where more tolerable when describing the fabric that covered my sëx.

"You would like that wouldn't you Justin."

"Of course I would," he smiles.

"Whatever let's just go. I don't want to spend another minute in this disgusting motel."

I quickly grab all of my belongings before we walk to Justin's car.

In about twenty minutes we make it to a beach.

"Here we are," he says.

"Thank you captain obvious, I'm not blind."

"I can tell you being nice is going to be a challenge."

"It won't be in fact I'm being nice to you right now," I smile.

His eyes widen. "You're not doing a very good job at it."

"How about we make an interesting deal for you. If you can't be nice you'll have to kiss me."

"So it's a win-win for you?" I cross my arms over my chest.

"I guess so," he smirks.

"How about if I'm nice to you, you won't be dead by the end of this weekend how does that sound?"

"You're insane Nova!"

"I'm just joking with you. You know something nice people do... at least I think they do that."

"That wasn't a very good joke," he replies.

"Whatever."

"How about if you're nice to me this weekend I'll take you out on a date?"

"Why would I want to go on a date with someone like you?" I remark.

"It's free food. Something I know you can't resist."

"That is true. Sounds like a deal," I smile.

"We both only have three strikes before the other person wins automatically."

"What if we both win?"

"Then I'll kiss you and take you out on a date. It'll be win-win for the both of us."

I roll my eyes. Was he really that cocky?

"We should really go swimming before the sun sets."

"It's only 1 pm babe, don't worry."

I bit my lip in frustration. I couldn't wait for this weekend to end so I could put a stop to all of the pet names, that he should only be calling his girlfriend anyway.

He throws off his t-shirt and swiftly pulls his jeans down his legs revealing his Calvin Klein boxers and his prominent member. I would be lying if I said the sight in front of me wasn't attractive. I quickly take off my shirt and jeans so he wouldn't know I was staring.

When I'm done taking off my clothes I look up at him to see him already intently staring at me, I gulp nervously.

"You look stunning," he grins.

I return the smile. I began to sprint towards the crystal clear ocean. Once I'm near the water I back up a little before doing a cannonball into the water. When I come back up from below the water I see Justin spitting out water from his mouth.

"Oops," I giggle.

He tries to be serious but fails miserably causing us both to laugh. I guess he wasn't that bad.

"Want to play truth or dare beach edition?"

"Sure I have nothing to lose."

"Okay, I want to go first."

"Truth or dare?" I question.

"Dare."

"I dare you to tell my why you didn't want to go home yesterday."

"Pass," he says almost instantly.

"Then you lose Justin."

"Fine I'll tell you, but only if you can keep a secret."

"I can keep a secret," I say linking my pinky with his before letting go of his finger.

"My mother abuses me," he says in a hushed tone looking down.

My eyes widen. "Verbally or physically."

He laughs. "Which one would sound better?"

"Neither Justin."

"Oh," he says scratching the back of his neck.

"She does both," he says looking back down.

"I had no idea Justin. I wish-"

"It's fine I don't want this to change anything. Once this weekend is over you can be as much of a bitch as you want to me."

"Good," I  fake smile trying to lighten the mood.

"There's just one thing I need to do."

"And what's that?" he replies.

I wrap my arms around his torso before attaching my lips to his soft ones. He kisses me with much desperation and lust. I begin to pull away before it gets too heated.

"What was that for?"

"Don't act like you didn't enjoy it."

"I did a lot but I don't get why you kissed me if you were so against it earlier."

"I felt bad about your mother-"

"I didn't want this to change anything Nova."

"It's never going to feel quite the same but it's never going to change."
