Late night as the blood moon rises, every part of the Empire are silent and almost all citizens are in there slumber. But not for someone of course, the man who is the Empire's former executioner, known for being addicted to decapitating. Zanku, he stood in the silent, dark street holding up a woman by the neck as she begs while her dead partner lies down beside them.

"Please...... Don't kill me." The woman begs.

"I'm sorry but no can do, lady. This is what you two get for being up in this hour. Did your parents ever teach you the dangerous men roam the streets at night? Hmm?" He says.

"Please.... Let me go, I'll do anything you want!" She said.

"Anything huh? Well I would like to talk for once in a while. So..... tell me how does it feel to be without a body?" He asked.

Suddenly, his blade began dripping blood and the body of the woman fell to the ground as he holds the head. This cause him to grin maliciously.

"This is..... simply delightful. The Empire is the perfect place for me to kill people!"

He then drops the head and began walking, leaving the corpses to rot.

"Hmm? I wonder if the Master of Silence is also here? It would be delightful for me to cut his head off!!"

"Observe the enemy for quick seconds then immediately strike at a vulnerable spot. Back away and repeat again!" I said to myself as I'm in the yard training.

While as I train, Bulat was watching me the whole time while having a smile on his face.

"You sure are faster than a usual assassin. Not to mention you're stealthy too. I'm impressed!" He says.

"That's because I prioritize speed and stealth more than strength. But of course, I aim to get stronger as well. That's why my title is the Master of Silence and will always be!" I said with a cocky smile.

"Heheh, I like that attitude of yours." He said chuckling.

"Thanks, bro." I said and continue on my training.

"Hey guys. Boss is calling for us, we have a new mission." Lubbock then appeared and spoke.

I stopped on my training and look at him then nod. I placed back the wooden sword from where I got it and the three of us head inside and met up in the assembly room with the other girls.

"All right, what's our next mission boss?" I asked.

"Your next mission is to eliminate a serial killer who is the former executioner of the Empire known as Zanku. He appears at night and randomly decapitates people he sees." She said.

"Oh that Zanku, yeah I remember him." I said.

"No one asked you." Mine said.

"Shut up pinky face." I said.

"What did you just call me?!" She said.

"Okay that's enough of arguing right now. We're in the middle of getting our mission here." Bulat said as he hits me by the head.

"Sorry bro." I said holding my head.

"Anyway, I want all of you to find Zanku and end him. I'm counting on you with this Night Raid." Najenda said.

"We better travel in teams of two in case it's a rough ride." Bulat then looks at me in an odd way and gives off a vibe.

"Why do you even have to say it like that?" I asked with an unsettled expression.

"By the way do we have any idea which Teigu he is using?" Mine asked boss.

"No we're still looking into that." She answered.

"But I do!" I raised my hand with a smile.

"What is it and how do you know?" Akame asked.

"Well, two years ago I managed to met up with him and we got into a fight. I eventually escaped and he explained to me his Teigu is called Spectator. It has one of the five special gifts known as insight, which allows him to read a person's mind by looking at their expression." I explained.

"I'm surprised you knew about that." Lubbock said.

"Of course I do, and his Teigu doesn't really have an advantage on me." I said.

"What do you mean?" Sheele asked.

"Quote, the Teigu allows him to read a person's mind when he looks at the target's facial expression. See how I where my mask during my mission? He won't be able to see my face so he can't read my mind." I said.

"Nice! You know, every time you impress me, I began to like you more!" Leone said wrapping her arm around my neck.

"Like?" I said.

"If we are able to get the Teigu from him, we might as well let you try it and see if you are able to use it." Najenda said.

"Cool." I said.

"That's all I have for us, now let's go punish this scumbag. Night Raid, move out!" She said.

I look at my pocket watch and it's only been nine in the evening. Me and Akame are walking to the area where we are supposed to be scouting after getting there, I wore my mask and covered my head with my cloak.

"Hey Akame, is it okay if I leave you here for a moment?" I asked turning around.

"Where are you going?" She asked.

"Just gonna go somewhere near here and have a look out. The Master of Silence shouldn't be waiting for his victim here in the open area." I said walking away and immediately disappeared in the area.

I stand on a larger building than the rest, my cloak sway with the cold breeze as I look down upon the area. So far, no one has been showing which made me irritated. Until I heard footsteps coming from behind, I breathe in then out and concealed my emotions. The footsteps stop but I didn't bother turning around.

"Finally, we meet again. Master of Silence." Zanku's voice fills my ears.

I remain silent and in a blink of an eye, I grab my pistol from its holster and fired a bullet at him. Though it missed, the loud bang of the pistol echoes through the area.

"I missed, that's just unlucky of me. Anyway it is not nice to see you again. I happen to be in a bad mood." I said with little to no emotion.

"That's just sad, since we're both alone here how about we continue what we haven't finished from two years ago?" He said with his blades ready to strike anytime.

"Hm, I guess that should do. I'll entertain you as well, since this will be your last fight." I said unsheathing my sword.

"We'll see, I can't wait for your head to be in my hands!!" He yells and chargers at me.

I charge at him as well and our blades clashed. I leap back and run around him, judging by his annoyed expression he can't keep up with my speed. This made me smirk and dash towards him and strike my sword at him only to be blocked my his blades.

"What's the matter? Can't keep up with me?" I asked.

"Heh, if only I have a chance to remove that mask of yours I'll not only be able to read your mind but also finally get to see that mysterious face." He grins and pushed me back using his blades.

I fired two bullets at him and he managed to block it. He runs to me and strike his blades at me from above. I manage to block it with my sword, due to the pressure he is giving me the roof I'm standing on began to crack. He began to jab his blade at me but I managed to avoid all of them except for one which made my cloak rip and formed a small horizontal hole by the left part. I backed away and look at the hole, I looked back at him and slowly walked up to him releasing a dangerous aura. This made him look a bit terrified.

"(What is this aura he's releasing..... Is he really this powerful?!)"

"I've just finished cleaning this cloak and you just ripped it like that. You're gonna pay for this, with your life." I said and dash towards him with high speed.

Every strike I made was barely dodged by him due to the speed. Some attacks were managed to be blocked by his blades but I won't let that happen anymore. I grab one of his blade and hung into it then replaced my sword with my pistol and shoot the blade and at the same time I leaped back. His blade began to crack due to the impact of the blade. Then it shattered. A horrified expression plastered on him.

"Augh!! I won't let you do this to me!!" He yelled as he charged at me with the remaining one blade on his left arm.

I clashed blades with him again and this continues until I finally had enough. I punched him hard on the face to which I heard his jaw crack got his Teigu of out him. He falls lying on the roof with a bump on his cheek. I stand before him and placed one foot on his chest. I look up at the sky and the wind hits us.

"Zanku, tell me something...." I paused.

I hold my sword in my left hand and placed it to my right. I look down at him and slowly remove my mask allowing him to see my darkened face. He didn't bother moving at all and smiled.

"Before you kill me... I just want to thank you." He said.

"Thank me for what?" I asked.

"For silencing the voices of the ones I've killed. This is simply...... delightful." He said.

"Oh..... I see well..... Goodbye." I immediately decapitate him and my sword began to drip his blood.

I looked at where the rip of my cloak is and saw some blood soaking. I didn't even realize that I was injured, I removed the blood on my sword with Zanku's cloth and sheath it before walking away with the Teigu.

"This is like hitting two birds with one stone." I said to myself.

"Woah, you managed to defeat him on your own? I'm so proud of you Y/N!" Bulat then pats me on the back.

"Yeah, I know bro. Anyway, should I try it now or maybe later?" I said.

"How about you try it now?" Najenda said to me.

"Okay." I said.

"Be careful, using a Teigu needs an affinity to be able to use it." Bulat said.

"Don't worry." I then put the Teigu on and then soon I finally activated it.

"All right! Now how should I do this?" I said.

"Try reading my mind." Akame said.

I then nodded and then I unconsciously activated something which caused me to see the girls in their underwear.

"Uwoah!! Why am I seeing this?!" I began freaking out.

"Uh, Y/N? Are you okay?" Lubbock asked.

"Lubbock, if it is you who is seeing this, I know you would probably like it!" I yelled.

"What are you exactly seeing?" Sheele asked.

I was so freaked out that it caused me to pass out. The Teigu then deactivated and Najenda took it.

"I guess the Teigu works well on him but he doesn't like to use it. I guess this is all for now. Bring him to his room." Najenda said.

"Okay!" Bulat then began carrying me and brought me to my room.
