Chapter 30 : Abilities, Powers, Call It Whatever You Want
Seeing how clueless his master are, Yūsha let out a sigh. "I unlocked my special power when Minato entered your room on his visit with Kushina and the pervert. That means, you also unlocked them. You just don't realize it. Now tell me, what happened in the room?"
Ara ran her fingers through her hair. "He... He couldn't see me."
"Invisibility?! That's great!"
"How about you?"
"Watch me." Yūsha said, before his whole body grew from its original size, into as tall as Ara's door.
He returned to his original size, before he said, "Cool, right?"
"Very, Yūsha. Can you grew smaller?"
"Yeah, but it feels weird. I prefer being a giant."
Kurama just scoffed.

"Enter." The ginger-haired man said as he heard the knock on his office.
A man opened the door, and walked in. He was wearing a black cloak with red clouds outlined with white, and all you can see from his face are his eyes.
"Leader-sama." The man greeted, receiving a nod in reply.
"What is it, Kakuzu?"
"I have a question. When will we start our plan on hunting down the Bijūs?"
"In a few years. We have to recruit more members, and find information on all the jinchūrikis."
"I see. And when we extract the Bijū, the jinchūriki will die, correct?" Kakuzu muttered.
"Yes. Why so sudden? Asking about that?"
Kakuzu shook his head. "It's just..." He trailed off, before letting out a sigh.
"I'm afraid... My daughter is a jinchūriki. With her Kigaeru blood, and the Kyūbi attack on Konoha, she was the most suitable to be the host."
He's not lying, but he's not being honest, either. He's not afraid. He knows.
The leader stayed silent.
Kakuzu turned away, "That's all, Leader-sama. Thank you for the answers. If I may, I will be taking my leave now."
Pein nodded. "You're dismissed."
The masked man exited the room, and the leader was left alone with his thought, and doubts.
What's more important? The world peace, or the life of his goddaughter?
*/*\*/*\*
Kisame narrowed his eyes. He didn't eavesdropped on Kakuzu and Pein. He just happened to walk in front of the room, and hear one sentence only.
'I'm afraid... My daughter is a jinchūriki.'
No. His sweet Ara-chan couldn't have a Bijū in her body, could she?
She's too innocent to have a monster sealed inside her body.
Ah, innocent. What a lie. She was raised in a criminal organization.
But, she's not innocent. She's pure, compared to her family members. Her old family, that is.

"Where are we going?" Ara asked, glaring at the Inuzuka who didn't let go of her hand. Hana literally drag her to the forest, Itachi following them.
"You'll see. Do you even remember what day is it?" Hana asked in suspicion.
"Um... Sunday?"
"Try again." Itachi commented.
"... A day before Aniki went on his escorting mission?"
Hana sighed. "True, but that's not the answer?"
"Today is 9th April," Itachi said, as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.
"Oh! Right!"
Hana's head snapped towards her friend. "You remember now?" She asked exitedly.
"Yeah! It's 4 days before your birthday!"
Itachi slammed his hand on his forehead. "Hopeless..." He muttered in despair.
Hana stopped, and turned at Ara. The Inuzuka narrowed her eyes, as she grabbed Ara's shoulders, and starts shaking her body.
"TODAY IS YOUR BIRTHDAY, ARA-BAKA!!!"
Ara stayed silent, before she finally replied, "Ah, I remember now. How can I forgot that?"
Itachi sighed. "Who knows. Your mind is too complicated for me to understand, genius."
"Speak of yourself, Uchiha. You are a genius too, so don't be a hypocrite." Hana snapped, before she turned her attention back to Ara.
"Now, Hatake, I know that you are abnormal. But this is unacceptable!"
"I kinda... too busy with training?" Ara asked, wincing at her angry friend. Hana can be as scary as her mother.
"What kind of reason is that?!"
"... My reason." Ara innocently answered with a smile on her face.
Hana huffed. "This is the most illogical thing I've ever known in my whole life." She said, before she grabbed Ara's hand and dragged her further into the forest.
*/*\*/*\*
"And now, after you drag me here and told me that this is my birthday, what is supposed to happen next?" Ara asked.
Itachi took a deep breath. Hana slammed her head onto a nearby tree.
"You are a genius idiot." Hana grumbled, "Look up, Crow."
Slowly, Ara raised her head, and looked up.
"... Woah ..."
Ara couldn't say anything. She's too shocked, and amazed.
Above her, is a large treehouse. It looks more like a cottage, with a small balcony around it.
"Happy birthday, Ara." Hana and Itachi said in a sync, smiling at their friend.
"Who made this?" Ara asked.
"Kakashi and his friends. He told us that you don't want to celebrate your birthday, so he told us to spend the day with you. No one knows about this, except your brother, Asuma, Kurenai, Guy, Shisui, us, and Lord Hokage. Kakashi said that he actually threatens the Hokage to allow him to make this."
"He starts making this right after he found you." Itachi added.
"I wish I have a brother like yours, Ara." Hana said, "He's cool."
Ara laughed. "So, I decide that this place will be the official base of Kanachitazuha." She said, "Now, shall we get in?"
Hana nodded. "You go first. Oh, and by the way, here's the key."
Ara took the small silver key from Hana's hand, and put it in her pocket. She climbed the ladder, and stood in the balcony, unlocking the door. Then she entered the small house.
It's probably half as big as the Hokage Office. There's five futons folded neatly at the corner, with two large blankets beside them. Also a rack filled with empty scrolls, many kunais and shurikens, a few rolls of bandages, and also a first-aid-kit. In the middle of the room, there's a table with a stack of papers, a few pens, pencils, and erasers on it, and also an empty notebook. The room also has a cupboard, filled with some instant ramen cups, a few glass, cups, bowls, and plates, including spoons, forks, knives, and chopsticks, plus a kettle.
"He prepares everything... Like, if we got trapped here, we can still live normally." Itachi commented.
Hana nodded in agreement. "There's enough room to unfold all the futons without having to move the table."
"This is just amazing." Ara muttered. She then took one of the futon, and unfolded it, before she sat on it, leaning on the wall.
"I kinda like this..."
*/*\*/*\*
"Aniki, I'm back~" Ara sang, as she entered her brother's room.
She sat on his bed, next to him, leaning on his shoulder. Kakashi put down his book, and wrapped his arm around her shoulder.
"Hey, Ara. Happy birthday. Do you like my gift?"
Ara sighed. "I don't even know what to say. It's... Well, no one will ever get something as good as that in this whole world. That's what I think, at least." She said with a shrug.
"You're exaggerating. One of the reason I made that is to give you a place to hide if something bad happens." Kakashi commented, "What are you thinking about, if I may ask?"
"Just... Why must people be scared of everything they don't understand?"
Kakashi sighed. "What do you expect?"
Ara shrugged. "I'm always curious." She said, pausing for a while, before she continued, "Everyone in my old family said that I'm often too curious for my own good. When someone told me not to do something, I will do the opposite, just to know the result."
"No wonder." Kakashi muttered, "You're a trouble magnet. But somehow, you always manage to push through. I mean, sorry to bring up this topic, but look! You survived travelling by yourself for months. You sealed a raging Bijū inside yourself. You were kidnapped, tortured, and locked up for weeks and you still survived. You are one kind of a kid."
Ara giggled. "What can I say? My family weren't normal, just like me."
"Hm?"
"Two of them are half-animal. One is a half-plant. One made of wood, one made of papers. And another is a God."
"A... God?"
Ara scoffed. "That's what he say. He's my godfather, by the way."
"Your family sure is..."
"Strange? Unique? Funny? I prefer the last one."
Kakashi doubtfully nodded. "How about your father?"
"Uh... He's also... unusual... But I wouldn't talk about it."
Kakashi nodded. "I won't force you, either. You know, just like you, I never know my mother."
Ara smiled. "Glad to know we can relate."
Kakashi shook his head, chuckling softly.
"Ara, you may not realize this, but actually, we are similar in so many ways."
Receiving no reply, Kakashi turned his attention to his sister.
She's already asleep.
*/*\*/*\*
Ara was laying on the wooden floor of her treehouse, twirling a kunai in her hand. She was waiting for Hana and Itachi to come back from Academy. Kakashi is still on his mission escorting the Daimyo and his family. Yūsha and Kurama is talking about who knows what, probably about her training.
"Twinkle twinkle giant sun, how I wonder what you want. Up above the clouds so high, burning the souls on the ground. Twinkle twinkle giant sun, can't you stop shining for once~"she muttered, obviously annoyed by the heat of the day.
She knew she should be training, but she really is not in the mood.
After she reached the top of the cliff, Kurama made her fox ears and tail disappeared. But sadly, he couldn't change her left eye back to normal.
Ara throws the dull kunai up in the air, before she used her kekkei genkai.
She had already mastered it. Not just making her invisible, turns out that she can also make herself really disappear as a ghost. Anything can go through her body. And she couldn't be detected by doujutsu, smell, or chakra traces. It's as if she wasn't there, or she changed into the air itself. At first it feels weird, but now it feels great. She can easily avoid the villagers, and surprise her friends. The only ones who know about this are Kurama and Yūsha.
Ara appeared at the edge of the room, before lazily picked up the dull kunai, and slammed her body onto the futon, landing on her back.
Ara huffed, staring at the ceiling, her fingers wrapped around the kunai's blade without realizing it.
"Hey, Ara. Sorry for making you wait." Ara turned, to see Itachi standing in the doorway.
"Get in already. I want to read your notes." Ara said.
"Crow! I'm back!" Hana yelled, entering the room. Then her eyes widened. "Ara! Are you crazy?!"
Ara stared at her blankly, not even knowing what the Inuzuka is panicking about.
"Your hand, idiot! You're holding a kunai!" Hana growled, as she rushed to Ara's side, followed by Itachi.
When Ara unclenched her hand, the three of them hold their breath.
The kunai's surface aren't smooth nor straight. It has many curves, and fit her fingers perfectly.
"This is crazy." Itachi muttered, picking up the kunai, tracing the dull blade.
Ara didn't say anything. Instead, she took another kunai, and grip the handle. Furrowing her eyebrows, she locked her gaze on the kunai.
"Guys... You have to see this..." Ara called.
Hana and Itachi approached her. And they let out a loud gasp.
The kunai's blade slowly narrowed, growing longer and sharper in the process.
"Are you... controlling it?" Hana asked slowly, still in shock.
Itachi narrowed his eyes. "It's like you're bending metal." He commented.
Ara smiled smugly, shrugging at her friends. "Who knows. All I know is, this is awesome."

My opinion? That's rather crazy, out of logic and ridiculous. But I guess it would be great.
And, Author-senpai here has some confessions:
1. I already finished this chapter since about a week ago. I was lazy. And I hate that. That's why I didn't update sooner.
2. I started reading Noragami and I love it.
3. The school's gonna start soon.
4. My birthday's coming! (4th August)
5. I love Kakashi.
Well, that was random.
Comment, 'kay? See you later!
