Chapter Seven - Jabiim

In the months that followed, the fighting between the Republic and Separatists intensifies as more planets pledge their allegiance. On the Outer Rim world of Jabiim, a bloody civil war has erupted between the Jabiim Loyalists loyal to the Republic and the Jabiim Nationalists who seek to have Jabiim join the Separatists. In the midst of this civil war, the Republic chose to intervene. In the rain soaked world, a group of Jabiim Nationalists prepare for an attack.

Jabiim Nationalist #1: Republic forces are on the move again.

Jabiim Nationalist #2: I know. I heard that they have Jedi with them.

Jabiim Nationalist #1: I didn't think the Jedi were real until last week. Is it true that they steal babies?

Jabiim Nationalist #2: Yeah. And cut women in half with their laser swords and take the babies.

Suddenly, they heard rumbling nearby. When they turn around, they see a squad of AT-TE Tanks heading towards them. The two Jabiim Nationalists alert their allies as they attack the Republic tanks. They soon saw K'Kruhk and Eri leading a battalion of Clone Troopers in a daring charge.

K'Kruhk: To battle!

As the Clone Trooprrs attacked the Jabiim Nationalists, an intense battle ensued. K'Kruhk and Eri fought side by side as they covered each other.

Eri: These guys don't give up!

K'Kruhk: Focus, Eri! We must push towards our objectives!

K'Kruhk and Eri continue to lead the attack. The Republic were able to gain a quick victroy over the Nationalists. After the skirmish, they took the prisoners back to camp. As the Clone Troopers took the surviving Nationalists into the nearest Republic Outpost, Eri could feel the fear from the prisoners.

Eri: The prisoners are afraid of us, Master.

K'Kruhk: Eri, you must remember that there are over a hundred thousand inhabited worlds in the Republic....

Eri: One accused me of eating children!

K'Kruhk:....and there are only a few thousand of us. There are billions of beings who have never seen a Jedi. There are millions who have never heard of the Force. When we do appear, we can be killers....

K'Kruhk paused for a moment as she pointed out a female Jedi Padawan healing a wounded Jabiim Nationalist.

K'Kruhk:...but also healers. Thank the Force for that.

K'Kruhk and Eri were then approached by a human Jedi Master.

Jedi Master: Master K'Kruhk! Is it always this wet on Jabiim?

K'Kruhk: Unfortunately, Master Sirrus. It hasn't stopped raining since we arrived. The storms make landing reinforcements nearly impossible.

Sirrus: Yet here I am, at your service. Although, Aubrie is upset at the change in plans. She's just been asked to train with Master Windu. It's quite an honor.

K'Kruhk: For her or for you?

Sirrus: Both. But for now, we must focus on this battle.

As K'Kruhk and Sirrus spoke on the battle, Eri approached the Jedi Padawan as she just finished healing the Nationalist.

Eri: You must be Aubrie Wyn, Master Sirrus's Padawan. I'm Eri.

Aubrie: I am. A pleasure to meet you, Eri.

As the two greet each other, Eri spots a group of Jedi Padawans kneeling towards multiple burning pyres.

Eri: What happened?

Aubrie: Those Padawans lost their masters during the battle. We were barely able to retrieve their bodies to give them a proper funeral.

Eri was saddened at this. He had no idea at how bad the situation was. She immediately thought of the battle of Geonosis and how so many Jedi lost their lives. Many of them remained in the ruins of the arena where they fell.

Aubrie: Those Padawans are now without masters. The troops are already calling them the Padawan Pack.

Eri: Padawan Pack?

The conversation between Eri and Aubrie was interrupted by K'Kruhk and Sirrus.

Sirrus: Come, Padawans.

Eri and Aubrie soon met with K'Kruhk and Sirrus alongside the Clone Commander and Captain Orliss Gillmunn of the Jabiim Loyalists to discuss a plan of attack. Orliss plays a broadcast of a Jabiim Nationalist Leader's speech.

Jabiim Nationalist Leader: Your planet, your home is being drowned in blood! For three thousand years, we were loyal to the Republic! But did they send aid during the Brainrot Plague?! Did they send aid when the Trandoshans invaded?! Where were the Jedi when Lythian Pirates killed your parents and mine?! The Republic ignored our cries for help, until they learned that beneath all the mud lies a heart of ore! Now they want to control the ore to prevent us from profiting with trade from the Confederacy of Independent Systems! We will let the Jedi Generals know that we will fight to be free! We will fight to defend our planet! We will send the Jedi home in caskets!

As the broadcast ended, the room was left silent.

Orliss: The Jabiim Separatist Commander...Alto Stratus. He took control during a coup last year. Killed most of the Loyalists at the Jabiimi Congress. A few of us escaped.

Sirrus: Captain Gillmunn has been Stratus's only opposition, until you arrived.

K'Kruhk: We're slowly losing ground on Jabiim. If we don't make a decisive move soon, then Stratus and his army will soon have us surrounded. Our supplies are running low and we're stretched too thin.

Clone Commander: My boys have been able to find the Nationalist Command Center near the Razor Coast. If we can take that coast, then we should be able to turn the tide.

K'Kruhk: Commander. Gather your troops. We move immediately.

In that moment, the Republic Forces on Jabiim prepared for a daring assault that would hopefully turn the tide of battle. But the Republic Forces would soon learn that the Battle of Jabiim would present an even more dangerous challenge.
