Ring ring my alarm bell rang as I got ready to work my shift in a cafe and go to school I started working in the cafe at age 15 when my mothers addiction to illegal drugs got worse you see before the drugs got involved mother. Was a good mum she sang lullabies to me before bed and often stayed in my room I slept Smelling mothers sweet perfume.

I remembered how softlt mother kissed my head every night up until one day when mother met uncle Jamie and fell hard for him i liked seeing her happy it made her glow and whenever she was on the phone she always told Aunt Caz all about how Jamie was charming and sweet and after hearing the same words over and over again I decided to ask mother one day what charming and sweet was she told me it meant a good person.

I also began believing that Jamie would be my new daddy and I could have both a mommy and daddy in my life but a few days went by and Jamie started changing he would alway try to touch aunt caz and she became scared for my sake and hers after that aunt caz always kept a gun so whenever Jamie tried to touch aunt caz behind mothers back she always shot a blank at him after that Jamie never ever tried it again.

One night I told mother about what Jamie tried to do to aunt caz everytime she wasn't around mother looked at me her eyes red and then she left my room the next thing I knew was that aunt caz was no where to be seen when I asked mother she told me that she got rid of aunt caz for trying to take Jamie from her I was confused because I remember Jamie trying to touch Aunt caz.

I was so sad that mother though that it was aunt caz trying to take Jamie from her I wondered how blind mother was in jamies love that she refused to see his deceit after aunt caz disappeared mother began leaving me home alone for hours on end and when she came home mother had bloodshot eyes a bleeding nose a busted lip and Jamie kept biting her neck leaving big black bruises.

After that I noticed that mother took all her money and went out it got to a point that I was starving and I had to steal from neighbours they of course knew and gave me food but when they moved I had no food left so I started looking in bins for food at this time I was seven years old life became harder for me because mother married Jamie and he started bringing over men that scared me and I always left the house whenever they came by.

One day while I stayed outside I began walking in the neighbourhood and I went to a cafe there i sat outside until I saw a famillier person i ran to her screaming aunt caz until she looked my way I saw tears in her eyes as she ran to me and hugged me I hugged her tightly and she saw how dirty and skinny I was I then told her all about mother marrying Jamie and how he brings men into the house every day.

When I told aunt caz she immediately contacted the police and aunt caz told the police she would take care of me until they sorted the problem out aunt caz took me to her home and her and uncle Eric took care of me aunt caz bathed me uncle Eric brought me food and new clothes then aunt caz set up a room for me I ended up clean and I put on my weight again police contacted aunt caz and told her how mother and Jamie were arrested for importing illegal drugs and for prostitution they told aunt caz that if she wanted she could adopt me aunt caz agreed and raised me as her own.

Until both she and uncle Eric tragically passed away in a car accident and at this time I was 14 years old and I had completely forgotten about who my real mum was i also had no Idea who my dad was either when mother caz died and father Eric I felt alone but my social worker told me that mother was detoxing off the drugs and she divorced Jamie I got happy thinking things would be like before but that was wrong.

When I got to my mothers home I saw her still injecting herself and selling herself to get her fix and like before she left me alone and went to do her own thing I was sad and since I didn't want to end up starving again I decided to look for a job and I remembered that uncle Eric had a sister who owned the cafe that I had reunited with aunt Caz all those years ago aunt Emily was kind and let me work and sleep in the cafe upstairs as long as I carried on with my studies.

I promised to carry on studying and thats how I had a part time job that paid me and I had it saved I never used my money since before dying uncle Eric and aunt caz had put a hefty sum of money in my name and there home which I Couldn't use or live in until I was 18 years old I also had many clothes to wear a shower to bath and food that aunt Emily let me eat from her cafe .

That is how I began working and earning cash and my drugged up mother had no idea one day I went home to mother but when I got there I Saw the door opened and I smelled a sickly smell I was terrified of what it was and when I walked in I saw mother on the floor looking pale and by her side was so many pills and when I looked at mothers lifeless body I saw she was naked and there were bruises on her and blood I let out a huge scream and thats when many neighbours came in and I passed out.
