Mason
Feeling way too hot, I woke up not being able to move. I grunted, feeling an uncomfortable weight across my chest. What the hell? Looking down, Miles was sprawled out with half of his body on top of mine, his head nestled directly against my boobs. Using what strength I had after just waking up, I attempted to shove him off of me though it didn't work too well. I tried again, this time grunting with exertion.
"Miles, get off." I shoved him once again, in return all I got was a hum as he moved closer, tightening his grip on my waist and snuggling his face deeper into my chest. Gay my ass, I snorted. "Miles, come on. I have to pee."
"Mmm, Ryan."
"Who the fuck is Ryan?"
"What?"
"What?"
"Mason? Why are you here? Ryan and I are busy."
",Well I'd like to know where the hell this Ryan person is." I muttered as he finally began to lift his head off of me.
"Oh. Mase?"
"Yeah, Mase. Sorry, I'm not Ryan. Who's Ryan anyway?"
His cheeks turned red. "Ryan Reynolds."
I couldn't help but laugh a little. "Bitch, I already called him."
He sat up fully, gasping. "Excuse you, who do you think you are claiming my man?"
I scoff, "Last time I checked he was straight."
"Yeah, well last time I checked, he was married."
"Yeah, to a woman. Which means if anything were to ever happen between them, my chance would be higher than yours."
"You don't know that. Hell, a divorce could fuck him up and he could switch to the dark side."
I sigh. "Let's be honest, Blake Lively is literally perfect. Shit, I change my mind. If he leaves her, I'm going to be made at his ass for giving up such a beautiful woman."
Miles nods in agreement. "I'd go straight for her."
"One hundred percent, she could turn me lesbian."
He laid back down on my chest. "Then again, your boobs are pretty comfortable. Maybe I'll go straight for you."
"I wish, it'd make my life a lot easier and I'd have a hell of a lot less heartache."
He looked up at me, his head still on my boobs. "I'm sorry about him baby girl."
I let out a heavy breath. "It's okay. Oh and don't worry, you don't have to turn straight for me, I'll let you lay on my boobs whenever you want."
"You're the real MVP."
"Oh, I know." I giggled.
My door flew open so harshly it slammed against my wall. My head snapped towards it, finding a panting Milo. My eyebrows furrowed, confused as to why he looked like he just ran a half marathon. "Mason." He breathed out heavily, gripping the doorframe, half bent over while trying to regulate his breathing.
"Milo, go away. We're busy." Miles muttered, annoyed.
Ignoring his brother, he turned towards the hall and shouted, "I found her."
Found who? What the hell is he talking about?
Miles grunted pulling away from me to sit up again. "What the hell are you yelling about Milo?"
"Mason, I found her."
"The fuck you mean you found her? She's been here the whole damn time, you fool."
"Alex was freaking out at school when Mason didn't show up and made us all leave to find her."
"I swear, that damn boy is giving me whiplash with his feelings." Miles breathed out, placing his hand on his forehead.
"He's downtown looking for her."
"Why didn't he just call?" Miles deadpanned.
"He tried."
"Oh."
"Well call him and tell him to stop being a little bitch. Oh and that you found Mase."
He nodded, holding his phone to his ear. "He's not answering."
"God, I swear, this boy is getting on my damn nerves," Miles huffed, climbing off my bed and then holding his hand out. "Come on Baby girl, let's go find my dumbass brother."
I sighed but grabbed his hand anyway. "Let me get my shoes." The only reason why I was agreeing to go was so that we could stop and get some food on the way.
We climbed into Miles car along with Milo and Oliver. I sat in the back with Oliver instead of making Milo squeeze in the back with his abnormally long legs. We drove around for a good fifteen minutes when we finally spotted his car at the diner. As we pulled into a parking spot, I could easily see him frantically looking around. Soon enough, he was walking back towards the door, one of his hands gripping tightly against the roots of his hair. I stepped out of the car along with the other boys,
Alex was running down the steps just as I shut my car door, the boys already standing in front of me. "Did you find her?" Miles asked frantically. I couldn't help but roll my eyes at him.
I stepped out from behind the boys so that he could see that I was in fact, not missing. Though I could have and should have let him suffer a bit longer. His eyes widened as he looked at me. In an instantly, I was engulfed in his arms, my face pressed tightly against his chest. He pulled away, keeping me at arms length.
Like I said, whiplash with these damn emotions. "Alex, what are you-" I was immediately cut off by his mouth smacking against mine. And when I say smacking, I literally mean it. It was quite painful to be honest, nothing like you see in the movies.
I quickly shoved him back, making sure to keep my arms on his chest to make sure he stayed at a good distance. "What the hell do you think you're doing?"
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean, I just, can we talk?"
"We talked this morning."
"I know, Just, please?"
I looked to Miles and nodded, Alex waited until the boys were in the diner before turning to me. "Where were you?"
"At home with Miles."
"Why didn't you answer when I called?"
"I'm sorry but after this morning what makes you think I would have answered your call?"
"If you would just listen to me,"
"I have listened to you, Alex. Time and time again and I've let things go that I shouldn't have. I've forgiven you for the horrible words you've spoken to me and I just can't take it anymore. What do you not understand? Why can't you get that you're literally fucking with my head? Why won't you just leave me alone? What did I ever do to you to make you want to treat me like this? I can't do it Alex. I can't keep doing this shit anymore. I can't keep having this same conversation with you. I sound like a damn broken record at this point and honestly, I feel like it's just wasted breath. You don't seem to care about anything I have to say, nor do you seem to listen. I don't know what more you want from me. I can't be the girl that's okay with being played and treated like shit. I can't keep up with all of your indecision and mixed signals. I just, I can't be that girl for you. I'm losing my damn mind over here. I'm going absolutely mental. God Alex, what more do you want from me?"
He looked somewhat at a loss for words. "Mason, I never meant,"
"Please don't. You're excuses are getting old and tiresome. I can't deal with them anymore. You never apologize. Did you realize that? You never actually apologize or take fault for your actions and words. You always just have an excuse. An excuse as to why you did what you did and why you think it's okay but you can't always just sit there and justify you being a complete and utter dickface."
He stepped forward raising his hand to my face, wiping away a tear that I didn't even know what there. "I'm sorry, Mason. I'm so fucking sorry. For everything, I've never meant any of it. Things are complicated and I'm just, I'm trying to protect you from getting hurt."
I laugh humorlessly at his words, shaking my head. "The only one who's hurting me is you, Alex."
He pulled me to him again and though I shouldn't have, I let him because despite him being the reason I was hurting; I needed a hug and he was offering one. "I'm sorry and I don't expect you to forgive me. But I want you to know that I'm sorry and I truly mean it. I don't ever want to hurt you, Mason. I promise it all stops here. Okay?"
I wanted to believe him, I really did but at this very moment, I couldn't bring myself to do it. Maybe he could prove it to me over time. I hoped he proved it to me over time. I finally stepped out of his embrace, wiping my face with the sleeves of my hoodie. I swallowed, looking at my feet and then back up at him. "I'm going to go get some food." He nodded, pulling his bottom lip between the bottom of his teeth. "You can come if you want," I mumbled, looking off into the distance.
Without waiting for an answer, I walked around him and into the diner immediately finding the immature boys who were throwing their fries at one another. As soon as I approached the table, everyone's attention focused on me.
"Mase, you okay?" Miles questioned.
I nodded, sliding into the open spot next to Kai. "I'm starving but otherwise, I'm good."
"Well, it's a good thing I ordered you some food." He smirked, sliding a plate full of fries and another with a massive burger on it.
"You know I love you, right?"
"You've mentioned it a time or two."
Just as I was about to take a massive bite out of my burger, Alex slid into the empty spot beside Milo and directly across from me. Once again, the table went silent but this time it was uncomfortable. After a minute or two, I decided to break the tension. "Miles, did you order me a drink?"
"Oh, shit. Sorry, no."
I shook my head, mouth full of food. "Don't worry about it," I said as soon as I finished swallowing. "I'll go get one."
Alex stood up immediately. "I'll get it." Before I could say anything, He was up at the counter, ordering.
Of course, everyone was once again looking at me as if I could explain his actions. Instead, I just shrugged my shoulders and continued eating.

authors note,
hi!
I honestly hadn't even planned on updating again but I finished the chapter, so I figured why the hell not?
It's not much, more of a filler than anything but I mean, maybe things are looking up with Alex, but then again, maybe not because I mean, let's be honest, he's Alex and all but let's not lose all hope in him just yet. Maybe?
Anyway, although shorter and slightly boring, I hope you enjoy it anyway.
Thank you again for everything!
All the love,
M
