 Alex

"What the actual fuck Alex?" Miles snapped his chest heaving from running through the entire building and around the perimeter in search of the dejected girl who had so stupidly run off.

"Fuck off," I muttered. Though it had been my words that caused her to run away as she did and though I also may have felt the slightest tinge of regret after seeing the crestfallen look envelope her face; I'd never admit that to her or anyone, maybe not even myself.

"No. You fuck off! What the hell is wrong with you? Why do you have to be such a pompous ass hole? She hasn't done anything to you, yet here you are being the biggest douche known to man." He grunted, stepping towards me only to be pushed back by Nico.

I sighed, annoyed and already over this conversation. "So you're going to pick some girl you wanna fuck over your own brother?" I knew my words weren't true but I was pissed.

"Picking her over you?" he laughed hysterically. "I'm not fucking picking her over you because I want to fuck her, you enormous piece of shit!"

"I'm sure she's not even fucking good," I muttered, despite thinking the complete opposite.

He laughed humorlessly, his jaw taut as he stared at me, animosity filling every feature on his face. "It really wouldn't fucking matter if she was; seeing as I like dick, you fuck face. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to go find Mason because now she's alone, at night, in a bad part of fucking town and it's no thanks to you. So yes, I am picking her over you because unlike you, she deserves to have someone who fucking cares about her." He all but screamed before turning around and storming away.

I stood there, frozen for a moment his words sinking in. Not the whole part about liking dick. I already knew that shit, I found one of his porn magazines when I was raiding his room for a condom. No, what was causing sudden doubt in my mind was the fact that Mason was out there alone and I was the only one to blame. Fuck.

I groaned, smashing my fist into the drywall, my chest rising and falling rapidly as thoughts of what could happen to her out there flitted through my head. Slinging my bag over my shoulder, I weaved my way out of the building, eyes looking everywhere hoping that by the chance of God, I would find her. But of fucking course, she was nowhere. I kicked the tire of my car, over and over pissed at myself and pissed at her. I had no idea why I was mad at her. Shit, she just seemed to get on my damn nerves constantly.

Of course, I had lied when I said she was below than average looking. She was, without a doubt, the most stunning girl I had ever had ever seen.

Mason

I groaned rolling over in my bed, my eyes squinting at the bright rays of the morning sun practically blinding me. That's the last time I leave my curtains open. I pulled the duvet over my head not wanting to get out of bed just yet. Apparently, I had fallen asleep again and was now on the floor due to someone pounding on my door and scaring the absolute shit out of me. I grumbled, pushing myself off the floor and towards the door that was sure to be broken in a matter of seconds due to the incessant beating it was receiving.

"I'm coming, you wanker," I mumbled under my breath. Yanking the door open, I came face to face with a panicked Miles.

"Fuck Mase," he sighed, pulling me flush against his body. I hesitantly hugged him back, confused at the sudden affection. After a few minutes, he pulled away. "Thank fuck you're okay."

"Um, why wouldn't I be?"

"I don't fucking know Mason. Maybe because you ran off in an unfamiliar place, at night in a sketchy part of town. What the hell were you thinking? You scared that absolute shit out of all of us."

I snorted unattractively. "I highly doubt Alex gives a fuck," I muttered, hating the fact that I'd let him get under my skin.

"Alex's a fucking twat. I texted and called you a million times. Did you not get any of my voicemails?"

"Sorry, I just got home and passed out."

"Is that why you're in your underwear?" he smirked, looking down causing me to look down too. I couldn't help the blush that spread across my chest, up my neck, and onto my face.

"I'm going to get dressed." I stepped back. He followed after me, shutting my door behind him. "Hurry up buttercup." he smiled, enunciating the P dramatically. "I just woke up so me and you are going to get some breakfast."

"Breakfast?" I laughed, glancing at my phone. "It two p.m."

"So. Who says you have to eat breakfast before two?"

"Uh, no one I guess." I shrugged as soon as my shirt was over my body.

"Well then hurry up. Billy's hungry."

"Billy?"

"My stomach, duh."

"You named your stomach too?"

"Well of course." he smiled brightly.

"Of course." I smiled back shaking my head as I tugged my skinny jeans on, quickly sliding my shoes on right after. I wrapped my knotted hair up in an abnormally high bun atop my head and reached my hand out for Miles to grab.

"You know," he smirked mischievously. "If I wasn't gay, I'd be all over you."

I laughed loudly, smacking his shoulder as we descended the stairs. We met Nico halfway down the steps. "Where you two going?" he asked, looking solely at Miles.

"To eat, wanna come?"

"Uh, sure."

Nobody really spoke during the car ride aside from a few inappropriate remarks from Nico who thought his "jokes" were more funny than offensive. Relief flooded me as we pulled into the car park of a run-down diner. Nico and Miles slid into the same side of the booth, leaving me to sit across from them while they stared at me making me feel like the most awkward person in the world.

"Could you two stop staring at me? It's weird." Just as the words left my mouth, a waitress around our age made her appearance. She was beautiful, to say the least. She was one of those girls that could grab the attention of every boy in the room without even trying.

"Hello, My name is Lacy and I'll be your server. What can I get you to drink?" Nico and Miles looked at me expectantly, apparently waiting for me to order first.

"Uh, a water please."

"Okay." She nodded, writing it down on her little notepad. "And you two?"

"A coke please and thank you." Miles smiled. She looked to Nico after scribbling his drink order down. Yet all Nico did was stare at her, eyes wide and his mouth slightly ajar. Miles rolled his eyes and smacked the back of his head.

"Ow, what the hell?" He whined, grabbing the back of his head.

"Stop staring at the poor girl and tell her what you want to drink," Miles muttered while Lacy attempted to hide her laugh behind her hand. I, on the other hand, made no move to hide my laughter as a deep crimson blush covered his cheeks.

"Apple juice," he grumbled continuing to rub the back of his head. She gave a quick nod and walked away, a small smile never leaving her mouth.

"Apple juice? What are you five?" Miles mocked.

"Apple juice is delicious." he defended, seemingly truly hurt with Miles lack of appreciation for his fruit flavored drink. "Mason, don't you think apple juice is great?" he asked, now turning to me; his eyes wide and innocent.

"Uh, yeah. It's okay." I nodded, unsure as to why we were even having this conversation.

"Just okay?" He said exasperatedly. "What is wrong with you two?" he furrowed his eyebrows and crossed his arms over his chest. After our drinks came, we ordered out food and Miles and I talked while Nico continued to pout in the corner whilst looking out the window, obviously still upset about of lack of affection for his beloved juice. Soon enough, however, his sour mood was forgotten as soon as his plate off was placed in front of him. My stomach grumbled at the sight of the stack of pancakes topped with strawberries and whipped cream. I immediately dug in, practically inhaling the food, moaning at the taste.

"Oh baby girl, don't go moaning like that. You're going to get me hard." Miles laughed nearly causing me to choke.

"Must you be so crude?" I shook my head, though I couldn't keep the smile from forming its way onto my mouth. Miles insisted on paying as we finished and we made our way home, singing loudly to some Justin Bieber song.

We were all laughing upon entering the house, though that all seemed to seize once Alex came into view. "Where the fuck have you been?" he ground out, angrily. When is he not pissed off? Jeez.

"We went to eat breakfast." Nico chirped, seeming oblivious to the tension that was now suffocating the foyer.

"Breakfast at three o'clock in the afternoon?" he snapped.

"Uh, who says you have to eat breakfast before three?" Miles interjected making me smile as he repeated the same words he had to me earlier. "Anyway, why does it matter to you? I didn't know that we needed to check in with you before we left the house."

"Well maybe since Mason was missing,"

"Masons not missing, she's right there." Nico laughed, shaking his head at Alex.

While Alex, on the other hand, seemed the furthest from amused as he stared blankly at Nico who still seemed quite amused. "Where the did you even go last night?" His attention was now on me, his stance stoic.

"Home?"

"Home? Really? You fucking ran out of the building into an unknown place, at night and when I ask you where you went all you have to say is home?"

"Uh well, seeing as you asked where I went and that's in fact, where I did indeed go; then yes that's what I'm going to say."

"Quit being a fucking smart ass."

"I didn't realize you were my fucking dad. Oh right, that's because you're not."

"Oh that's right because you don't fucking have one." he bit out.

I felt sick. Sick to the point of being unsure on whether or not I was going to vomit or not. His words hit me like a ton of bricks, bile rising in my throat as they settled deep within me. My eyes moved to the floor, eyes blurry with tears as they refocused on the vile person standing before me. If I hadn't known any better, I would say there was something of remorse shining in his eyes but I did know better and there was no way in hell that he could feel bad after spewing the words he just did.

He opened his mouth like he wanted to say something but I spoke before he could, my body shooting towards his, "You piece of fucking shit," I screamed, losing every bit of sanity I had left. I cocked back my arm quickly swinging it forward and smashing directly into his nose. A satisfying crack resonated through the room as Alex's head snapped back.

My chest heaved as I stared at the blood pouring from his nose, shock and satisfaction swirling through me.

Holy shit.

Holy. Fucking. Shit.

authors note,

It was a shorter chapter than usual so sorry about that. However, Mason punched Alex in the face though I can't say he didn't deserve it.

once again, thank you so much for reading and please don't forget to comment and vote.
