F O U R T E E N
The next day, I shamefully
showed up to my training at SM, regardless of Jinyoung's refusals and my right leg hurting like an ass.
"If they dare force you to practice, you're leaving." I remembered Jinyoung's words and the promise I made him earlier.
I entered the room with my crutches. I didn't know what to do, but I wanted to at least watch practice.
The coach looked at me. "Are you injured?"
I nodded and told her all the things the doctor told me.
"Hm." The dance coach murmured. "You're not going to practice like everyone else?"
I shook my head.
"Are you being honest? Do you have a note from the doctor, or are you just being lazy?" She asked.
My jaw dropped. "You've got to be kidding me, why would I even lie about this?? You didn't hear how I passed out before?!"
"Walk." She ordered.
I glared at the floor and walked with both feet, wincing at the pain.
"Run."
I did what she asked.
"Jump 5 times."
Why is she doing this?? I growled and did what the coach asked.
"It seems like you're fine." She said.
I sighed. "Are you going to make me practice like this??"
"Yes, like everyone else."
"But I'm not lying about my injuries at all."
"Do you want to debut or not?!" She raised her voice at me.
"Not under this company." I said, turning on my heels and walking out the door, closing it behind me with force.
I marched straight up to the main office. "Please terminate my contract."
The lady at the front desk looked at me. "What's your name?"
I told her my name, and she looked something up on the computer. I bit the inside of my cheek nervously.
"It says you have 21 more months." She said plainly.
"I have to leave."
"It's a contract."
My heart dropped. "They're making me practice when my right leg is about to break into a million pieces!"
"Hm..." The lady paused. "It says, under any circumstances, the trainee must continue training until their contract has expired.'"
"There's no way I can leave?!" I really didn't want to go far as to filing a lawsuit. I didn't know how to, nor did I care enough to.
"I suppose there is, since your injuries cannot let you continue." She nodded. "If you bring in documents from the doctor, you may be able to leave SM."
I let out a relieved sigh. "Thank you. I will bring them soon."

When I got home, I didn't know how to feel about leaving SM. Was I happy or sad?
If I stayed, I could've had a successful debut.
"I left." I told Jinyoung, when he arrived home from his schedule.
"You DID?!"
I nodded. "I did what you told me."
"I'm glad you did." Jinyoung said. "Are you...sad?" He walked up to my and put his arms around my neck, pushing me into a hug.
My cheeks flamed and I closed my eyes, lightly shrugging. "A little, but I'll get into another company."
"I know you will." He muttered. "Is grandma sleeping...again?"
I nodded. "She's been really tired lately."
"Should we run the cafe?" Jinyoung asked, pulling back and looking at me. "Can you?"
I nodded. "I can use my hands, Jinyoung."
"I knoowwww." He said. "Oh wait, did you take your medicine?"
I nodded. "Yes, mom."
"I'm not your mom!"
"You act like a mom." I chuckling, escaping his arms and running away to the kitchen.
"Come here."
"No."
"Come hereeee you little dongsaeng."
I groaned and made my way over to him. "Don't boss me aroundddd~"
Jinyoung snickered and put his arms around my waist.
That shut me up for sure, and I hoped he couldn't feel the heat on my face that was resting on his shoulder.
He scooped me up and held me bridal style.
"This is a no-no." I said, making an X with my arms.
Jinyoung wiggled his eyebrows. "Why?"
"Because you're...........being weird." I said.
"That's fine by me." Jinyoung said. "Let's goooooo!" He ran off with me still in his arms.
"If you slip while carrying me and I break something else, it will be your fault AH--" I screamed.
Just like what I told him exactly not to do, Jinyoung slipped on the floor and we both went tumbling down.
I swore I saw a flash of death for me. My leg didn't hurt in the process, since I ended up landing directly on top of the squishy Jinyoung.
Then I realized that I probably would've preferred the choice of death.
What kind of romance k-drama am I living in?
I lost my breath completely when my face landed close to Jinyoung's--extremely close. Like, extremely extremely close.
Our lips were touching.
I blanked out for five seconds straight, freezing because I was panicking. I accidentally just kissed him--
When I got back to my senses, I pulled back from Jinyoung's soft lips. Like an oven, the heat turned on in my face, and my heart started beating at 50 miles a second.
Jinyoung's eyes were wide, and he was still staring. He looked as shocked as I did, and his breath was fanning my face from how close we were.
I rolled over and onto the ground, wanting to escape him, from his eyes to his arms to his lips--
"I-uh-what-sorry--" I managed to say.
"What just happened?" Jinyoung asked, turning his head to look at me. "Did you just kiss me?"
"It's not like I did it on purpose..." I muttered, covering my face.
"Did we just--"
"Yes, yes we did Jinyoung." I said. "But was an accident."
"Are you hurt?"
"...no, since I landed on you."
"...good." He said.
There was a sudden awkwardness between us.
I cleared my throat and slapped my cheeks, standing up, and Jinyoung did the same.
He followed behind me as I made my way downstairs to the cafe.
I felt weird. A hundred frogs were jumping around in my stomach right now, and I felt like my heart was going to burst.
I thought it wasn't because that I liked him, but it was obvious now that I did.
I realized it started from the moment he helped me.
And those feelings grew bigger and bigger by the day.
