Jimin heard the deceitful words flow out of Taehyung's mouth. It was then he heard his heart break into a thousand unfixable pieces.

The words clogged in his mouth, and every drop of blood that flowed through his body burnt his unblemished skin. The pain was eating him inside out, stabbing his heart until the blood stained his black hole.

Everything turned dark; pitch black as the rainbow that shone brightly in the night sky. He knew that a rainbow could never shine, but it was all a dream.

He wanted to shout at the top of his voice, but his mind was blank and his tears were stuck.

The void that was slowly devouring his heart kept pulling the strings of pain, making his heart beat even slower.

The hologram looked at him, with the usual bunny smile plastered. It was that one smile which made Jimin drown in ecstasy. But, that was in the past. Now, he was nonchalant to every smile and tear that was dropping.

He was completely numb, with the heartbeat supporting his entire existence.

A part of him had already died, evaporated into thin air and converged with the mist.

The one person he wanted to protect at all costs was now no more. He felt undeniable remorse flow through his veins, as drops of tears trickled down his eyes like blood.

His heart was stained with self loathing, and he dwelled upon the truth untold that bore a deep hole in his black holes that thrived for the truth.

It was a goodbye; but it was not good. Instead, it was the waterfall of tears blooming around the eyes under the wintry shades that illuminated even in the brightness.

He could have given anything to just go back in time and save Jungkook. It was the end of a new beginning. And it was the start of a new ending. Neither of them could be changed or morphed for chances came only once.

The memories which were mere fragments in his mind remained as dreams now. They were not cherishable nor regrettable. They were just pieces of reminders that Jungkook was still alive in his heart; as a part of his.

The tears were not a luxury; but the slow and painful withering of petals from a crystallic flower.

It was not a goodbye; but rather was a farewell. His longing for Jungkook would surely bring him back.

But all these were just mere illusions. They would never come true for this was the cruelity of life. Life never gifted us its yearnings. Rather, it gifted us what was loathed by everyone.

There was a lie in every truth.

Again, there was a life in every truth and a lie in every life.

It was confusing, but not for someone who had lost the whole world right in front of his eyes.

Jimin's head began to throb, as the pain travelled through the vessels, the flow making it even more painful. It was the pain of truth. It was the pain of remorse and regret.

His heart was torn, but he wanted to burn it.

Until there were no ashes left, he wanted to burn it.

And it happened, as Jimin's world turned black.

-

Jimin opened his eyes and found himself in the familiar yet peculiar surroundings again. He felt as good as new, but a part of him was torn and the invisible blood was pouring out like a waterfall. It was all his willpower that kept him from bursting out his emotions that were striving to be let out.

"Jimin,"he heard Jin's voice ring in his ears. An immediate loathing developed for the man he once saw as an ultimate angel.

He was once a weapon. But he now a shield that was broken. Even the strongest glue could never stick them together for the excruciating pain was invisible. Everything was aimless and futile.

"What do you want?" Jimin spat out, his voice on the verge of tears.

Jin looked at the vulnerable man in front of him and walked closer to him.

"I gave you another chance. But you didn't use it properly,"Jin spoke out bluntly. There were no emotions laced in his voice and it sounded as cold as the tiny snowflake descending from the pastel sky.

"Another chance? For what? To know that Jungkook died?" Jimin asked, his voice laced with vile.

"I gave you another chance to redeem yourself and I didn't know that Jungkook had passed away. My deepest condolences for him,"Jin's voice was flat. It was as if he had a premonition of everything that was going to happen.

"You knew that he had passed away. You wanted to let me know about that. That's why on the pretext of giving me a second chance, you broke my heart into a million pieces," Jimin wailed, tears beginning to flow from his eyes, exceeding his control.

"I admit that I knew everything, but I wanted you know the truth," Jin tried to make Jimin understand.

"To break my heart? In an intention to fix me?" Jimin spat out, his voice breaking and shattering his soul.

"It's always been you dying. So I tried to protect you this time," Jin consoled Jimin but he was in no position to make the words coherent.

"Protect me to kill him?" Jimin broke down, falling on the surfaces. Never in the world he was this vulnerable or helpless. He was stuck in reverse, and the he had already lost something he could not replace.

"I didn't kill him. I only protected you," Jin said, his voice flat.

"You killed him. Whatever you did was-" Jimin fumbled on his words.

"I have to protect you. That's my duty. I can't defy the rules that are bestowed upon me," Jin said, moving closer to Jimin.

"Who are you to protect me?" Jimin's eyes were bloodshot, and his body was quivering under regret.

"I'm an angel," Jin said, with a smile on his face. But the either of them knew that the smile would not change anything.

"Don't make up things to cover up the lies," Jimin spoke out in a broken whisper. His life was a monochromatic mess with the blue and grey sky painting his blank masterpiece.

"I'm not making up things, Jimin. I'm am angel sent from heaven to protect you," Jin said, his voice stern.

"What's the use of this protection? Why are you so keen on protecting me? Why do you want to protect me?" Jimin asked, tumbling on the ground, his tears grazing the floor.

"Every angel has a prophecy and we have to complete it to make it true," Jin said, rubbing his hands together.

"Don't fool me with prophecy shit," Jimin's voice was insolent. He despised the man in front of him, trying to convince himself that he was an angel sent to protect him.

"We never lie," Jin lifted Jimin's chin up.

"Every truth is a lie," Jimin removed Jin's fingers harshly.

"If you don't believe me, then wait for it to happen," Jin shrugged his shoulder, nonchalant to Jimin's broken self.

"What would happen?" Jimin asked, his voice desperate and hoarse.

"That's not my position to tell. But I can tell you something. 'Those who tried to protect you are now sent to destroy you and those who tried to destroy you are now sent to protect you'. Remember this always."
