A dried gasp escaped (Y/N)'s lips as her unconscious state ended abruptly. Her (e/c) eyes shot open, eyelashes faintly batting against her lids as she drinks in the dark scenery around her. Everything was blurry at first and for a second, she didn't know who or where she was, how she got on this bed or in these clothes, but her mind was shaken back to reality once her gaze landed on a particular butler sitting on a chair beside her bed, halfway skinning an apple with his knife.

Memories of Jungkook knocking her out senseless flashed through (Y/N)'s mind. Her face turned frigid, jaw clamped tight, teeth grinding, and fists clenched into a tight ball. She's pissed... mad at Jungkook for doing that to her. (Y/N) attempted to rise from the mattress she laid on yet her aching muscles within her cold skin forbid her to do so.

"You shouldn't get up so suddenly," Jaemin said in a blank tone, "you're still healing."

"H-How long was I out?"

"Less than two days. Master Seokjin was right that you would've been awake by the end of today."

"Seokjin..." (Y/N) trailed to silence.

"I was told to report back to him when you're awake."

"Are you? Going to report back to him, I mean."

"No... I won't." Jaemin releases an exasperated sigh as he set the apple and knife he cradled on top the night stand before focusing his attention to (Y/N). "Not yet, at least."

Jaemin's sudden disobedience against his master intrigued the female in such away that she inched her body little by little until her back fully pressed the headboard of the bed to properly listen.

"If... if you hadn't come here, all of this mess would've never happen. If I never asked you out on that silly little date to get to know you more, Master Jungkook would've never hurt me— but— but that was my fault wasn't it? I wasn't acting professional nor appropriate in work spaces, but why did he have to hurt me?!" Jaemin sharpened his glare towards the female. "I'm loyal. I've always been loyal and he knows that so why would he hurt me? After carefully questioning and evaluating the situation, I figured out why. I'm not an airhead, no, not at all— being the head of the butlers doesn't allow me to freely make miscalculations."

Jaemin leans his elbows down to his knees and clasped both of his hands together. "Master Jungkook, as well as the others, is in love— no, this isn't love— it's an obsession... a complete infatuation. They would do anything to have you for themselves, whatever it takes, even if it's killing or betrayal, they wouldn't care—"

"I hate to break it to you, but your masters won't be fighting against each other anymore because of Namjoon's grand plan. He figured it's better to share than have six other dogs chasing his tail for the rest of his life," (Y/N) chided.

"No," Jaemin shook his head, "I know Master Namjoon. I know all of them. I've worked here for years."

"What are you trying to say?" She queried, her eyebrows raising up to implicate her inquisitiveness.

"Master Namjoon destroyed competing companies this way. He first gathers them together in an alliance, but gradually he would whisper information to their ears that would turn them against each other. And he would stand there... looking innocent... looking as if he was on each of their side when in reality, he's not," he shut his eyes to regather his composure and sighed, "listen to me (Y/N). These men won't stop until they reach their goal. And this house. This mansion. Would be at ruins if this continues... if you remain here."

"Let them rip each other to pieces!! It's what they deserve!! I never wanted to be here... I-I—"

No matter how much (Y/N) denies that she desired nothing else and killing Lucas had already contented her enough, there's no denying that she wanted her old life back; she was happy living in a lie where she didn't know about her past or her constant need for violence and death. Her environment gave her no choice but to be who she is now.

They forced her to be this way.

They dragged her out of her shell.

So now, they will reap what they sow.

"I can't let that happen. I WON'T LET THAT HAPPEN!!" Jaemin shouted back. "I've worked my ass off to be here! I lived in a poverty-stricken village, doing hard labor with my brother and grandma, wondering every single fucking day what and when our next meal would be!! No one in the capital would hire me, a poor farmer boy, let alone one of the seven richest men in Southeast Asian. I had to lie, always worrying when I'll get caught and shamed by everyone. I've gotten multiple people fired just so I can be their replacement and slowly pave a way for myself to get to where I am today. I'm not about to loose all of the sacrifices I've made."

"Forgive me for being so straight up," he scoffs at himself then paused briefly to see (Y/N)'s strained face. "But I want you out of this house. As selfish as this might sound, but everyone has to fend for themselves. In this world, you're either a prey or a predator. But me... I'm a parasite. If the host die, I die."

(Y/N) sarcastically laughs. "Do you really think I haven't tried escaping this fucking hell hole?! I've tried, but it's getting harder than Taehyung's cock!"

"That's why I'm going to help you."

"What? Don't take this as a no for your kind gesture, but why? You're risking yourself, not that I care, so I'm quite interested for your reason."

"Killing you or feigning your suicide is not an option because evidences could lead up to me because I can a motive to kill you. You see, Master Seokjin assigned two people to watch over you. Who's the other man? I don't know. My shift goes from 12 pm to 12 am, while his goes from 12 am to 12 pm. When him and I switch shifts, pretend that you are asleep. His restroom breaks are every hour so when he comes back, strike him from the back of his head."

"And then?" She crossed her arms. (Y/N) was wary of Jaemin. She questioned if he's another part of Namjoon's plan, but the determination in the butler's eyes didn't betray his true intentions.

"And then you do whatever you please... guards at these hour are at breaks too so it'll be easier for you to slip out. Don't worry about the security cameras, they're currently under maintenance."

(Y/N) bit her lips into a thin line. "I need one— two more things."

"We don't have enough time for this (Y/N)—"

"I don't give a shit. Where is Yoonah and how can I get her out of wherever she is?!"

"No! That's too risky! She's good as dead so you don't need to leech off her wealth anymore!"

(Y/N) scoffs and retorted, "leech off her wealth? Yes she helped me in numerous ways, but I did not leach off her. She's my friend, my fucking sister so I will not leave this damned mansion if that woman does not leave with me. I can continue suffering, making those masters of yours destroy me or each other, just so I can find her. You don't understand Yoonah and I's relationship so don't you fucking dare make assumptions."

She clenched her jaw together, sewing her mouth shut in an attempt to stop her emotions control the words spewing out of her mouth. (Y/N) ached to say that even if she is a monster, she still had a piece of her heart that her best friend stole. The sweet, charismatic female remained in (Y/N)'s head no matter how dark her world shifted.

"She's in the basement," Jaemin breathed out, pointing at a specific direction to indicate where the entrance of the room is located. "There is a guard guarding the door and he has the keys in his pocket."

(Y/N) kept her blank face steady, giving one small nod to Jaemin as he informs her Yoonah's whereabouts.

"I might've acted like a dick to you tonight and showed you my true colors, but that doesn't take away the fact that I did take an interest on you. What a shame... if our bosses weren't crazy psychopaths, we could've actually went to our date and started something special." Jaemin took the half-way skinned apple from the nightstand, continued to peel it with his knife and placed the bare fruit on (Y/N)'s frail hands. "You'll need all of the energy you could get. Good luck (Y/N) (L/N), may we meet again in another life in better... circumstances."

.
.

"What a shame..." (Y/N) chuckled lowly as she wipes the splattered blood on her face. "I didn't intend on killing you, but when you rose to your feet after I've hit you on the head and attempted to fight back, you gave me no choice." She pressed the heel of her foot against the man's eye socket and her lips, wide and open, emitted laughters that filled the whole room. Watching this man suffer a critical condition lightened her heart and eased the devilish soul stuck inside of her head.

"Jackson... that's your name right?" The glacial look reflected on her stoic face gave him shudders. "Don't worry... you'll go to sleep soon... so this pain of yours..." she dug her hands inside of his wound and squeezed his beating organ, smiling wickedly as he wailed in torment. "...will end soon."

He watched her walk towards the door, her hips swaying side to side as blood gushed with a sickening determination out from his heart. His fingers clamped over the wound, two hands growing paler by the second. The scarlet blood lashed, painting the room with its revolting smell.

Jackson heaved his final breath, letting his weak arms fall to the side. His eyelids remained wide open and as his precious life began flashing out, he hears a frightful tune being hummed in the hallways, a tune that has the sound of one who cries with no tears because doing so will only bring more pain. To his knowledge, humming should be a soothing sound to the ears, it's dulcet tones generating wordless symphonies that helps you drift away to the bright second star— but this.

It was beautiful yet appealing to the ears. There was something iniquitous... something angry in the chorus where it should have had more light and life, it was as if this was the starting of a song that lures pirates to their deaths in the deep Black Sea, maybe the song played after chaos has taken place in the battlefield.

It meant a fight, or at least an attempt at one.

'Maids shouldn't be roaming around this hour. The curfew was at ten, it's almost 2 am.' A bald, six foot male standing in front of the basement door thought as he sees (Y/N)'s silhouette slowly approaching him. He squinted his eyes, trying to get a better look at her, but due to the dim light, he wasn't able to see the dark red hues staining her skin and clothing or the sharp knife she clutched behind her back.

"Go back to your quarters now or I'll report this to the masters first thing in the mor—!!" He choked on his words as the tip of the metal sunk through his Adam's apple, fracturing his cervical vertebrae the moment (Y/N) pushed the object harder. The guard staggered backwards before hitting his heel on the leg of his chair and collapsing dead, creating a pool of blood beneath him.

"I'm not even gonna be here in the morning," (Y/N) scoffs sassily as she kicked his body to the side and scavenged the keys to the basement somewhere in his pockets. "Bingo."

(Y/N) unlocked the door, wasting no time or energy to sprint down the flights of stairs without catching even the slightest of breath. When she arrived the bottom, her legs felt weak but she continued pushing on.

When Yoonah first came into her view, (Y/N) almost didn't recognize her. She was sitting on a metallic, grey chair; her hands and ankles were roped down and her eyes— it was blindfolded with a black cloth. As (Y/N) nears, her heart fell right through her shoes— Yoonah is more purple than porcelain. (Y/N)'s eyes walked from one injury to another, taking in the gore that was her best friend. Everywhere, there was some sort of injury, some sort of physical damage that would scar Yoonah for the rest of her life.

"Y-Yoonah?" (Y/N) said, barely a whisper.

The (h/c) haired female took the blindfold off slowly. Yoonah's right eye is swollen; (Y/N) was sure she can't be seeing a thing out of that and won't be for a long while. Her doll face still bears congealed blood and her clothes are an utter mess. Then Yoonah tried to say (Y/N)'s name, her cracked lips failing at the first syllable.

"We need to get out now." (Y/N) untied Yoonah's restricted limbs and helped her get up only for her to fall back down.

"I-I can't. I can't walk," Yoonah croaked. "My... my ankles— Jimin broke them."

Yoonah saw the conflict of emotions flickering within (Y/N)'s irises. She saw how (Y/N) created a mask that showed only her strengths, when underneath, all she wanted to do was weep.

"It's alright," Yoonah trembles, forcing a weak smile. "I'm okay you big dumbo. I'm not dead."

"Good. I wasn't planning going to hell and drag you back here anyways. I'm too lazy." (Y/N) motions Yoonah to hop on her back. "We don't have all day."

"Right."

Going up the stairs with a full grown human being as an additional weight wasn't an easy task. (Y/N) took one or two break, looking around if any guards were patrolling the area or simply lounging around. As they exited out onto the back of the house, the two gulped the lump on their throats as they stare at a massive fence. There were high black metal planks topped with sharp dagger-like tips that could easily pierce their flesh if they weren't careful enough.

"It's now or never," (Y/N) said.

Yoonah looked at her. "Now or never..."

"You go first," She offered.

"But what about you? How are you going to lift yourself up from that height?"

"I can do it, I can climb this. You have less energy than me and be careful by those spikes, they look really sharp."

"Alright..."

Yoonah crossed the fence with (Y/N)'s help and now it's (Y/N)'s turn. She looked at the giant barrier, took a deep breath, and began climbing.

"HEY! STOP RIGHT THERE!" A guard yelled across the field, jolting (Y/N) enough that her legs missed a spot. Reacting solely on impulse, her hand reach upwards, the spike of the fence automatically split the skin of her hand wide enough for blood to seep out.

"AUGH!" She screams, but (Y/N) quickly grabbed the knife and threw it straight to guard's neck, killing him almost instantly.

(Y/N) jumped, catching Yoonah along the way and placed her where she was earlier. She ran and ran, never looking back to the mansion until they came across the main road. They both waved their hands at an approaching car, and luckily, the car stopped in front of them.

"Are you girls alright?!" The female driver asked worriedly. "Hop on now! Hurry!"

(Y/N) and Yoonah opened the door and entered the vehicle. (Y/N) winces from her wound. It won't stop bleeding, she was loosing too much blood.

"Don't worry, I'll bring you to hospital. My name is Jung Ji Woo, I'll help you guys, just hang in tight."

(Y/N) laid back against the seat of the car and closed her eyes, trying to chase the pain away, but Yoonah lies still.

Something isn't right.

'Wait,' Yoonah thought as her face turned white. 'Jung Ji Wo?'
