As Emperor Belos sets his plan in motion, Eda and King along with Amity, Willow and Gus begin searching for Luz in an attempt to find her and help her. Eda then briefs them about the mask of Darth Nihilus. Hours pass and Luz was nowhere to be found.

Amity: She...she has to be somewhere!

Willow: We'll find her, Amity.

Eda: We better find her fast so we can get rid of that mask.

Amity: Eda, when you touched Luz, what did you see?

As Amity asked Eda this, Eda thinks back to what she saw when she touched Luz. The image of Darth Nihilus consuming all life on a planet was unfathomable to think. It nearly drove her to insanity.

Eda: I...I saw the original owner of that mask. He...he had the same power Luz did. Except....he used it to consume an entire planet. He...he was more presence than man.

It soon became clear to everyone that the spirit of Darth Nihilus was a grave threat and Luz was in the most danger. But as they continued their search, they were approached by Kikimora and a large squadron of Coven Guards.

Eda: Great. More goons.

Kikimora: You all have been found guilty of using dark magic and continued defiance against Emperor Belos. For these crimes, you are all placed under arrest and face the Emperor's justice.

As the Coven Guards began to surround the group, Eda steps forward.

Eda: Where's Luz?

Kikimora: We don't have her if that's what you mean. But we know the magic she now wields. We know the dark powers she now holds.

It was at this moment that Eda quickly realized that the darkness of Darth Nihilus's mask had now caught the full attention of Emperor Belos and his Coven. At this point, Eda was running out of ideas. Eda was the first to raise her hands.

Eda: Everyone, stand down.

Everyone followed Eda's lead as they all raised their hands. Without hesitation, Kikimora and the Coven Guards took Eda and the others into custody. She then delivers them to Emperor Belos. As they were brought to the Emperor's palace, Kikimora presented them to the Emperor.

Kikimora: Here are the prisoners, my lord. They surrendered without resistance.

Belos: Very good, Kikimora. You have served me well.

As Kikimora steps back, Belos turns his attention to the prisoners.

Belos: I'm disappointed, Owl Lady. Dabbling in wild magic is one thing, but dark magic? Does your defiance know no bounds?

Eda: Believe it or not, we're actually trying to get rid of this "dark magic".

Belos: So you openly admit to the Human's practice of dark magic?

Eda: Listen to me, Belos. You've got no idea what you're dealing with. We're trying to get rid of the mask.

Belos: Mask? So that is the dark artifact that the Human has? A mask?

As Belos says this, he could sense something strange from Eda. Curious, he walks over to Eda and touches her arm. As he does so, he sees the same vision of Darth Nihilus consuming a planet.

Belos: How...interesting.

Eda: What we're dealing with is way bigger than us.

Belos: You felt it, didn't you? You felt the hunger of this being? The hunger for power? Perhaps with this mask, the Human finally sees the light. She now sees the hunger that drives me. The hunger for more. I would be lying if I said that there wasn't a great hunger within me. A desire for more. To consume all magic.

???: You know nothing of hunger.....

As the voice called out to Belos, there was something familiar with that voice. It was clearly Luz, but it seemed to be combined with the voice of another. Belos turns around to see Luz wearing the mask of Darth Nihilus. Her hazel eyes had been replayed by the fiery yellow eyes of the Sith. Her skin had become pale with her veins being more visible. She was wearing tattered makeshift robes which seemed like a replica of Darth Nihilus's robes. Eda and the others were in shock.

Eda: Oh no....

Belos: It seems my gamble has paid off, Human. I knew that by capturing your friends and allies, you would come here. Now it ends.

Belos then attempts to siphon Luz's life force with an artificial spell that he had prepared for this occasion. But Belos failed and exhausted himself because of the combined raw power of Luz and Darth Nihilus. As Belos regains his composure, Luz unleashes a torrent of crimson lightning on Emperor Belos. The Emperor was caught off guard by the sheer power of the lightning. Belos was able to form a protective barrier to protect himself from the lightning.

Belos: Most impressive, Human.

Luz/Darth Nihilus: My power is beyond your comprehension. You speak of your hunger, but know nothing of true hunger.

As Luz says this, it was clear to Belos that Darth Nihilus had full control of Luz. Under the Lord of Hunger's influence, Luz forges a sword of crimson magic energy. Without hesitation, Kikimora and the Coven Guards begin to surround Luz, but Belos steps in.

Belos: Back away. I will deal with this Human, myself.

In that moment, Emperor Belos prepared for the fight against Luz. His original plan had backfired. Now his only choice but to defeat Luz in combat. As for Eda and the others, all they could do was watch. In that moment, Darth Nihlius was on the verge of being reborn. All that was needed was the right opportunity for the Lord of Hunger to be reborn.
