As Eda and King along with Amity, Willow and Gus confronted the possessed Luz, Eda speaks to the spirit of Darth Nihilus who was now in possession of Luz.

Eda: I don't know what the hell you are, but we won't let you take Luz, you son of a bitch!

Luz/Darth Nihilus: You have no idea how insignificant you all are. You are dust motes in a storm...a grain of sand upon a beach. Meaningless. Miniscule. I will be reborn and everything in my path shall die.

Amity: I...I don't care what you think of us! We're going to save Luz!

Luz/Darth Nihilus: This vessel accepted my power without hesitation. She is mine!

King: Release my friend or face my wrath!

Eda: Let's get that thing off of Luz!

As Eda says this, Luz breaks out of Willow's vines by unleashed a shockwave of magic. The shockwave knocks everybody back. Eda was the first to get up. Luz then charges at Eda, charging her magic sword with lightning. As Luz goes for an overhead strike, Eda blocks it with her staff. This creates a small shockwave of energy in which Eda and Luz were able to withstand. Eda presses the attack, putting Luz on the defense. Willow and Gus seize the opportunity to launch a coordinated attack with Willow using her plant Magic to restrain Luz while Gus uses his Illusion Magic to cast the most powerful illusion he could. 

Gus: I got her!

Willow: Amity! Get the mask! 

Amity then summons an Abomination and commands it to aid Willow's vines in restraining Luz. As Luz was restrained, Amity joins Eda and King in attempting to free Luz from the mask. DOing so proved more difficult than imagined. 

Amity: Luz! You have to fight this! I know you can do it!

Eda: You're stronger than that thing, Luz! 

As they struggle to take the mask off of Luz, she broke through the illusion. After that, she unleashed a storm of crimson lightning which reduced the vines and Abomination to dust. Eda and the others were able to get out of the way. 

Gus: She's too strong! What are we going to do?!

Amity: We can't just leave her like this!

Eda: We won't! We have to keep trying!

Luz/Darth Nihilus: You cannot stop me. I shall consume all life in the Galaxy. 

Eda: Not if we have anything to say about it!

With that, Eda and the others launched a coordinated attack on Luz in an attempt to weaken her to the point where they could free her from the mask. But the powers of Darth Nihilus was too strong for them as they were all overwhelmed. Amity was the only one left standing. Luz grabs Amity by the throat. 

Amity: Luz...please.....

Without saying a word, Luz begins the process of draining Amity of her life energy. But Luz stops. Amity looks at Luz's eyes. Her left eye had reverted back to it's hazel color while the other maintained the fiery yellow eyes of the Sith. Tears began falling from Luz's eyes. 

Luz: A...Amity....no....NO!

Fighting through Darth Nihilus's influence, Luz places her hand on the mask and uses the Sith Lord's powers to unleash a powerful blast of lightning on herself. The combined screams of Luz and Darth Nihilus echoed across the palace. 

Darth Nihilus: NO! YOU ARE MINE! 

Luz: NO! GET OUT!

As Luz attempts to rip the mask out of her face, Amity joins Luz and helps her in trying to pry the mask off of Luz's face. The pain Luz and Amity felt was beyond words as the spirit of Darth Nihilus fiercely fought back. In that vital moment, Luz and Amity pried the mask off of Luz's face. Luz then tosses the mask into the fireplace. As the mask was thrown into the fire, the ground began to shake as the mask explodes into a aura of Dark Side energy. An inhuman scream was heard as the soul of Darth Nihilus could be seen in the flames. As the spirit of the ancient Sith Lord charges at Luz, it soon vanished into the air, ending Darth Nihilus. As the smoke cleared, Luz's body had returned to normal. Luz breathed heavily as Amity hugged her. It wasn't long before Eda and the others joined up. 

Eda: You had us scared for a second, kid. 

Luz: I...I'm sorry. This is all my fault. 

Eda: Don't beat yourself about it, kid. Whatever was in that mask is gone now. 

Luz could no longer feel the hunger that had brought her much pain. She was finally freed from Darth Nihilus's spirit. But as the group celebrated, Kikimora had her Coven Guards surround the group. As Kikimora was about to give the order to attack, a weakened Emperor Belos steps in.

Belos: Stop. Let them go.

Kikimora: But my lord...

Belos: Let them go. They will be dealt with another time. Consider this a reprieve. Now get out of my palace.....

Without hesitation, Luz and the others left Emperor Belos's palace. This experience has left a profound effect on the Emperor. The dark power of Darth Nihilus's mask only strengthened his resolve to rid the world of wild magic which in his mind was no better than dark magic. After destroying Darth Nihilus's mask, they made their way back to the Owl House. Once they made it back to the Owl House, Willow and Gus headed home after giving Luz some remedies to help her recover from her ordeal. As night fell, Eda and Amity along with King and Hooty checked up on Luz. 

Eda: How are you holding up, kid?

Luz: Better, thanks to you all. Even after all that I did....

Eda: It wasn't you. It was that mask. It told you what you wanted to hear and you took it. Happens to the best of us. 

Luz: Still, you warned me about not messing with that mask and I did anyway and that mistake nearly cost me my life and yours. 

Amity: The important thing is that you're safe and that mask is gone. 

Luz smiled as she hugged Amity who began blushing visibly. 

Luz: Thank you, Amity. Thank you for being there....

Amity said nothing as she simply hugged Luz. 

Amity: I...I should probably get going. My parents are probably wondering where I am. 

Amity then leaves the Owl House and waves Luz goodbye. Luz then yawns. 

Eda: Gets some rest kid. You deserve it.

With that, Eda along with King and Hooty left Luz's room to left her sleep. Before she falls asleep, Luz looks at the plant Willow had given her. She holds out her hands and attempts to use the Life Drain power that Darth Nihilus taught her, but nothing happened. Luz breathed a sigh of relief, knowing that the spirit of Darth Nihilus was truly gone. As Luz fell asleep, she would no longer feel the insatiable hunger that nearly consumed her. In the end, the powerful spirit of Darth Nihilus, the Lord of Hunger, was stop by the most unlikely person imaginable. Though Luz didn't know it, she had saved the Galaxy from the return of Darth Nihilus.
