As the Owl House was besieged by the Coven Captain and the Abomatons, Eda along with King and Hooty stood their ground. Hooty began attacking the Abomatons, taking out a few of them. 

Eda: Gonna make you wish you called out of work today!

Coven Captain: Stand your ground, Abomotons! They are no match for you! 

As the Abomotons advanced on the Owl House, Eda took the fight straight to the Abomotons with Hooty providing cover. During the fighting, King rushes in and hits the Abomoton with the plastic sword he found in the trash heap earlier. The attacks do nothing to the Abomoton. 

King: Fall beneath my mighty blade! 

As King says this, he gains the attention of the Abomoton he was attacking. Without hesitation, the Abomoton backhands King away several feet. As the Abomoton walks towards King, the Abomoton stomps on the toy sword, breaking it. 

King: My sword!

Before King could react, the Abomoton grabs King by the throat and begins to strangle him. Eda soon jumps in and promptly takes down the Abomoton. 

Eda: Oh no you don't! 

As Eda takes down the Abomoton, another Abomoton jumps Eda and puts her in a bearhug. As Eda struggles to free herself, King crawls up the Abomoton and scratches at the abomination goo. This allows Eda to break free and take down the Abomoton. As the battle dragged on, the Abomotons began to gain the upper hand. Even Hooty was beginning to get overwhelmed. 

Eda: Not good....

Coven Captain: Finish them! 

As the Abomotons prepared to move in on the Owl House, Luz entered the area. Upon seeing Luz, Eda became concerned. 

Eda: Kid?! Get out of here! 

Luz: It's okay, Eda. I got this.

Coven Captain: What can you do against my forces, Human? You might as well surrender now!

Soon enough, the Abomotons turned their attention to Luz as they began to surround her. It was at this moment that Amity along with Willow and Gus were arriving. They all saw Luz being surrounded by the Abomotons. 

Amity: Luz!

Willow: That's not good!

Gus: We have to help her!

As Amity, Willow and Gus were about to rush in to help her, they could all feel a dark chilling presence in the air. Meanwhile, the Abomotons were getting ready to attack. But as they moved towards Luz, Luz unleashed her Life Drain power on the Abomotons. She then proceeds to drain them of their life. As Luz completely drains all the Abomotons of their life energy, Luz consumes that energy. The Abomotons were reduced to withered husks. Everyone was in shock at what they had just witnessed. 

Amity: Luz?

Coven Captain: I..impossible! There's no way a mere Human like you could....

Before the Coven Captain could react, Luz seized the Coven Captain. Luz was soon put into a trance and began to drain him of his life energy. The Coven Guard was helpless. But before Luz could completely drain the Coven Captain, Amity rushes over to Luz and stops her. 

Amity: Luz! Stop this!

As Amity pulls Luz back, Amity looks in Luz's eyes and gasps. Luz's hazel eyes had turned into a fiery red-rimmed yellow color. It was in that moment that Luz had snapped out of her trance and regained her senses. 

Luz: A..Amity?

As Luz regained her senses, the Coven Captain gets up and runs from the scene, pushing Willow and Gus out of the way. 

Coven Captain: GET OUT OF MY WAY!

The Coven Captain then flees the scene. Luz looks around to see the withered husks of the Abomotons. Eda soon rushes over. 

Eda: What the hell was back there?! When did you....

As Eda questioned Luz, she looked down to see the mask of Darth Nihilus hooked onto her belt. 

Eda: This is not good, kid! You can't use this power!

Luz: I...I have to, Eda! I can use this power to defeat Belos!

Eda: Look at what you did! Whatever....this is, this is beyond wild magic! This is dark magic! This is the kind of magic the Emperor uses! We're not like the Emperor! We're better than this!

Luz: But I can control it! I can.....

As Luz attempts to finish her sentence, the pain from the hunger sets in. Luz immediately falls to her knees, clutching to her stomach. Amity and the others rush to Luz and help her up. Everyone becomes seriously concerned for Luz. 

Eda: Luz, we need to get rid of that mask now. If you keep using this mask's magic, it's going to destroy you!

As Eda reaches to take the mask from Luz, Luz lashes out. Her hazel eyes reverts back to the fiery yellow eyes. It was at this moment that Eda realized that the darkness had already begun to take over Luz. 

Eda: Listen, kid. I'm on your side. I just want to....

As Eda places her hand on Luz's shoulder, she sees a vision which overtakes her senses for a brief moment. She could see Darth Nihilus using Force Drain to consume an entire planet. She could hear Darth Nihilus's distorted voice echoing in her mind. Eda soon broke away from the vision, trembling in fear for what she had just seen. 

Eda: Luz....we need to get rid of that mask. 

Luz: I...I cant! 

Luz was soon stricken with fear and confusion as she found herself conflicted over what to do. But the pain of the hunger soon returned. Without warning, Luz ran off. 

Amity: Luz, wait! Come back!

Luz then uses a Glyph teleport herself away from the Owl House to be alone with her thoughts. But what transpired at the Owl House would not go unnoticed.
