"Harry, I love you, but your kid is killing me," Louis huffs, letting out a whine. His favourite Rovers jersey won't fit anymore, and he's convinced it's the end. Harry just smiles fondly and raises his eyebrows.

"I'm sorry, baby, I can order you a bigger one," Harry tries to make a compromise, which Louis isn't appreciating. Louis sighs and takes it off all together, looking down at his round stomach. "Now c'mon, love, we're going to be late for your doctor's appointment. We might find out the gender today."

Louis grabs a baggy jumper from the dresser, yanking it on and running a hand over his swollen stomach. You couldn't even see the baby bump with his jumper on.

"There they are," The doctor points out, pointing to the vaguely baby shaped blob on the screen. Both Harry and Louis smile immediately, eyes glued to the screen. "And, oh, we can find out the sex today! Did you both want to?"

"Yes," Louis says quickly before Harry can say anything. The doctor moves the wand placed on Louis' stomach a bit to the left before smiling.

"Congratulations, boys, you're having a baby girl!" The doctor reveals, and Harry's breath hitches. Louis smiles widely and looks over to his Harry, who's close to tears. "Oh, can you feel her kicking?"

Louis shakes his head. "No, not yet."

"She's kicking now," The doctor says, and Louis' eyes widen. He didn't know that little feeling meant she was kicking, he just thought his stomach was growling.

"Seriously?" Louis asks in disbelief. Harry giggles at Louis, watching as Louis stares at the screen with wide eyes. The doctor turns off the monitor and gives Louis a rag to wipe off his stomach with.

"I'll be right back with your pictures," The doctor says, smiling at the boys and leaving the room. Louis sits up and looks down at his stomach, eyes wide.

"Here, can you feel that?" Louis asks, grabbing Harry's hand and setting it down where he could feel the little feet going at it. Harry is silent for a moment before smiling widely and nodding.

"I can feel it," Harry says excitedly, beaming at Louis as Louis smiles fondly at him. "How did you not know? Oh my god, Louis, only you could be totally unaware that your baby is kicking."

Louis huffs and playfully pretends to be offended, but when Harry lets out a laugh he can't help but smile. "I love you," Louis says quietly, smiling and looking into Harry's eyes. Harry smiles back, letting out a little giggle.

"I love you too," He replies.

"Oh, Louis, you're showing!" Anne gasps as she hugs Louis, smiling widely. Louis just smiles widely, on the inside he's wondering how the fuck she can tell. His jumper is super baggy, making it barely possible to tell his tummy is bigger than usual.

"Isn't he cute?" Harry coos teasingly, pinching Louis' cheek. Louis huffs and crosses his arms, secretly preening under the attention he's given.

"Are you boys hungry? I have lunch prepared," Anne says, and Louis nods excitedly.

"She's always hungry," He says exasperatedly. Anne widens her eyes, a large smile on her face.

"She? It's a girl?" She asks. Louis and Harry both nod in confirmation, making Anne squeal out of excitement. "I'm getting a granddaughter!" She attacks both Louis and Harry into a hug, making both boys laugh.

They eat lunch and talk about little pink dresses and tiny mary janes (It's mostly Anne talking about them and Louis and Harry nodding along). Louis eats two sandwiches, using the excuse that he's technically eating for two even though nobody questions him. Harry just smiles and lets him eat whatever he wants as long as it doesn't harm the baby.

"So how are you, Louis? Are you feeling alright?" Anne asks, folding her arms on top of the table and smiling warmly at Louis. Louis nods and smiles back, folding his hands in his lap.

"Morning sickness has completely stopped," He shrugs. "And nothing really hurts besides my back. It's not too much though."

Anne nods. "That's good, and Harry's helping you out?"

Harry snorts. "Mum, of course I am," He giggles as Louis watches him. His gaze is almost gentle, looking at Harry adoringly in a way that could only be described as Home.
