I have been and still am all these things

but somebody

gave me a chance at redemption

and I took it

I payed my debt

and I thought that I could carry on his work

but after all

I am a loser

a lowlife

I couldn't do it

I made a big deal with a devil

and it backfired

I may have made a deal with an even bigger devil

...time will tell on that one
