Love is blind - Part 10 - Clint x Tony x Reader

"(Y/n). Why didn't you..............?"

"Why didn't I tell you..........? Simple, you don't listen, Clint. It's not that you go out of your way not to listen to me, and it isn't that I haven't wanted to tell you about all this, because I have. I have wanted to tell you about all of this, about everything I can do, for a long time. It's just that with everything you do with your job, with the Avengers; when you do come home, you are more concerned with Laura and the kids, than me. And rightfully so." The younger Barton explained, as she placed her hand on her brother's arm.

"I love you Clint, I really do; you're my big brother, and I can't tell you how much I appreciate everything that you have done for me. But like I said before, you have to realise that I'm not a little girl anymore. That I need a life of my own, and I can do so much more than you think I can. Ok, I can bump into things and fall over bits of furniture if they've been moved; but you don't have to blind for that to happen. You've seen what I can do, what I am capable of..........."

"But why did you have to tell Stark all this, before you told me.........?"

"Oh, jeez, Clint.............." (Y/n) interrupted, as she moved away from him.

"I've just shot every gun on this table; used a bow and multiple arrows, as well as knives, not missing a single target; and the only thing that you can think about is that I showed Tony all this, before I told you anything?............ I told him, because he sees me. Not the little girl that was blinded. He sees me as a human being; a person in my own right. A human being that is capable of so much. He took an interest in me. He listened to me. And he has been nothing but a gentleman towards me. He wants to help me; to help me achieve my dreams. Christ, Clint, why can't you just be proud of me.............?"

"Proud of you. Of course, I'm proud of you. I've always been proud of you........." Clint told her, as he pulled her into his arms. The older Barton looking at all the targets that his sister had been able to hit perfectly, despite the fact that she could not see. Shots that even he might struggle to make.

"I'm..........I'm sorry for not listening, for not being there for you................."

"There's no need to be sorry, Clint; you have always been there for me, but you have your family. Laura, the kids are the ones that should take precedence. All I want is the chance to have a life like that, myself. All I want to do is show the world that I am as good as the great Hawkeye. All I want, is for you to stop feeling guilty for what you did all those years ago. All I want..........is for you to let me stay here.........."

"And Stark...............?"

"I like him, Clint. I know you don't approve; I know that he is older than me. That he has a not so stellar reputation when it comes to the ladies, and you would prefer that I looked to another man; but I'm not about to jump into bed with him, just because he's been nice to me. And let's face it, no matter what guy I like, you will never think that he is good enough. Just like when Lila starts dating.........." (Y/n) chuckled, as she felt her brother shudder at the thought of his little girl dating some spotty youth.

"You have to let me make mistakes, Clint. Even if it means that we both have to kick the ass of that mistake, later. Now, tell me that you are glad to see me, then take me to wherever the others have gone, so I can bask in their amazement at my abilities.............." The younger Barton added with another chuckle. Clint kissing her on the side of the head and telling her that he was more than glad to see her, before offering her his arm and leading her towards the common room.

                                                         >>---------------------------------<<

"How long have you known.........?" Nat asked, as she, Tony and the others made their way into the common room. The others talking about what they had just seen, about what Clint's sister had been able to do; the Widow feeling a little hurt that the billionaire had been the one that (Y/n) had turned to, and not her. Nat seeing the younger Barton as, as much a friend, as she did Clint.

"Since we had to go and hide out at the farm. That day she was sat under the tree; she took me to an old barn, showed me what she showed all of you today." Tony explained, as he poured himself a coffee. Knowing that if (Y/n) couldn't talk to her brother; couldn't get him to see sense, then he might just have to step in, whether old Legolas liked it or not. His mind already filled with not only ideas that he hoped could help her; but also, of being able to spend that time with her, that they had spoken about spending together.

"So.......what do we do with her now...............?" Steve asked, as he and the others turned their attention to the billionaire.

"Now? Well, now (Y/n) comes to stay here, and we work with her. Let's face it, if Clint can be an Avenger, then (Y/n)..............." Tony replied, stopping as he heard an annoyed cough come from the doorway. Everyone looking over to see the two Barton siblings standing there. Their attention on the billionaire.

"Then (Y/n) can become one too. For once, we agree on something, Stark........" Clint said, as he escorted his sister into the room and sat her on one of the sofas, sitting her between Steve and Bucky, before making his way over to the billionaire, and whispering quietly.

"But that doesn't mean I won't be watching you................"
