Long time no see - Part 5 - Brock x Reader
"WHY HAVENT YOU FOUND HER!" Bucky demanded to know, as he banged his fist on the metal countertop; it buckling under the impact of his metal hand. His eyes burning with rage, as he glared at Tony.
It had been months, months since the billionaire had stopped him from going out to search for (Y/n). Months since Stark had told him that he would find the female agent. Yet despite all the fancy technology that he had at his fingertips, (Y/n) was still missing, and Bucky was about to take matters into his own hands.
He and Steve had been back out to the site of the battle, where they had lost (Y/n); the two looking for something, anything that might point to who had taken her, and where she might be. But there had been nothing other than the stain of blood on some fallen masonry. Bruce later confirming Bucky's worst fears, that it did, indeed, belong to the agent.
"Bucky. Stark is doing..............."
"No, Steve. Don't give him any excuses. It's been months since she was taken, and you don't need to be a genius to know that it is HYDRA that have her. Yet what has the genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist been doing? From where I stand, nothing. We are no closer to getting (Y/n) back. So, we are gonna do things my way................"
"And what is your way..........?" Tony snarked, as he crossed his arms over his chest and glared right back.
Okay, Tony could understand Barnes' frustrations. He, just like the rest of the team, wanted to find (Y/n) too. For no matter what she might think, not matter how she still blamed herself for Rumlow, she was one of them; a member of the crazy family that the Avengers were. And the family just wasn't the same when one of their own was missing. And given that, Tony had tried everything he could to find her. The locater that had been placed under her skin, had either malfunctioned or, worse, been cut out. But that didn't mean that he was about to give up. All his other projects put on the backburner, as he wreaked his brain to come up with another way to find her and bring (Y/n) home. So, to say he felt a little insulted by Barnes' insinuations; well, it would be an understatement.
"We go to the HYDRA bases we do know of. We take them down, and if (Y/n) is inside one of them, we get her out..............."
"And if not, what then.....................?"
"Then we make people talk. Make them talk until we find someone that does know where she is.............." Bucky growled. Steve letting out a heavy sigh, as he watched his oldest friend and Tony, just stand up to one another. The captain able to understand Bucky wanting to do something; but also knowing that Tony hadn't given up, and never would; well, not until a body was found. And if it was, then he would be right by his and Bucky's side, making someone pay.
"Er, don't mean to interrupt whatever this is..............." A voice came, the three men turning to see Nat in the doorway.
"But we have a situation that you might want to come and look at..........."
>>----------------------------------<<
The black van made its way down the street. The darkened windows concealing those inside. One of the occupants sat with their head bowed and eyes closed, quietly listening to music that blasted through the earphones. It was the first time back in the field; the HYDRA scientists having deemed that she was ready. That the serums had had their desired effect. That the work they had done on her memories would ensure that she saw the Avengers as nothing but the enemy. Their newest creation, a perfect replacement for the Winter Soldier. And Brock, Brock was right there with her. The HYDRA agent watching as his girl took slow and steady breaths, before slowly reaching out his hand and placing it on hers; the new soldier instantly looking up. Her eyes burning, as she pulled the bud from her ear.
"You ready..................?" Brock asked, as (Y/n) raised her head fully. A small smile pulling at her lips.
"For a little payback? I've never been more ready............." (Y/n) replied, as she leaned over and placed a kiss to his lips, before taking the mask from his hands, and pulling it over her head.
In truth, she had wanted the Avengers to see who they were fighting. She wanted them to know that no matter what they had tried to do to her, she was still alive, and that she had come for her revenge; bigger, better, and badder than she had ever been. But they had insisted; insisted that she keep her anonymity until the time was right, and finally, she had agreed. The thought that she might get to look into the eyes of one of the Avengers, before she put them out of HYDRA's misery, enough for her at the moment. The van suddenly pulling to a stop in the middle of the street. The squeal of tires filling the air, as other drivers did their best to avoid the van and the occupants that piled out of it. An armed, masked woman dressed in black at their centre; her form slowly moving forward, her gun thrown over her shoulder, as a long black limousine came upon the chaos. Its driver doing his best to reverse machine away from the woman that had broken out into a sprint towards them, before jumping up onto one of the surrounding cars, and sending a volley that landed behind the fleeing limousine. The street suddenly exploring, sending balls of fire into the air, and causing the retreating automobile to screech to a holt. (Y/n) chuckling as she jumped from the car roof and made her way over to the long car.
"Now this should get the Avenger's attention.............."
