So, in Infinity War, Thanos kills Loki within, like, the first five minutes of the movie via strangling him. Now, Marvel says Loki is dead and we should except it, but if you're anything like me and love Loki just a ton...we aren't going to accept that answer.

So this is a theory about how Loki could still be alive(this theory is not mine).

So I was watching one of the movies where Loki is all 'god of mischief' and betraying people left and right. He made an illusion of himself and fooled this other character and I got to thinking, "if he's so smart, why did he go up against Thanos with a fucking butter knife!!!! He could've just created an illusion..."

And then I trailed off cause I was like, "whoa".

So here's the theory. I think Loki is actually smart. He knows better then to go up against the strongest being in the universe with a tiny dagger. So I think he created another illusion of himself and fooled both Thor and Thanos(I know, simple right? I didn't really know how to elaborate on that, sorry).

Also, Loki was born a frost giant and changed his appearance to Asgardian upon seeing Odin. So don't you think when he died he would turn back into a frost giant? Because the only reason he can look Asgardian is because his magic is actively keeping up that barrier. And it would most definitely crumble if he actually died.

Or he did die and the only reason he's in Avengers 4 is because they time traveled. Idk.
