Captain America's Alternate Ending

I've thought long and hard about this one, so bear with me folks. This is the way I PERSONALLY would have liked everything to go.

As a writer/creator myself, I understand the need for angst and drama as much as the next guy. And as much as we'd all love a happy ending, it doesn't always happen that way.

Here's the way I wanted it to happen. So Steve's a soldier, always has been. I feel like he should have died. Now, before you get mad at me, he's old and not reappearing in any more movies (most likely) so what's the difference?

I think he should've died valiantly fighting Thanos's army and then been honored afterward as the great hero he was. That way, we avoid the whole messed up time line and everything continues. Because in the end, we've just lost Captain America, plain and simple. But if he died instead, we keep his memory.

And obviously, it's the marvel cinematic universe, so we're always going to know what happened because we're on the outside. But imagine all those made up people on the inside who won't ever know Captain America?

~Are there any other Endgame topics you'd like me to discuss? Please comment and let me know, I've missed theorizing~
