I'm Busy Mr. Stark!

I'm Busy Mr. Stark

What to expect:
-Uncle Fury (I'm a sucker for this one)
-No Spiderman, but Peter still has his powers

"Tonyyyy!" Peter called, barging into the scientist's lab, "Pepper says you have to leave for a meeting!"

"Why do you always take her side?" Tony groaned, setting down his screwdriver with a sigh.

"Because she's Pepper, duh."

"What am I going to do with you?" Tony chuckled before double checking that nothing would explode and heading over in Peter's direction.

Peter had somehow become Tony's personal intern. It was astounding he'd even managed to get an internship at SI, and he'd never expected this. He'd started out on the lower levels just helping people out now and then, but one day Karen-his AI, modeled after FRIDAY but with the physical body of a robotic cat-had snuck into work with him. Apparently making a sentient robot was a big deal because Tony had quickly raised his status.

"Pep says you can head down to Floor 62," Peter told him, "Oh, also, I won't be able to work this weekend."

"Why's that?" Tony asked as the two headed down the hallway towards the elevator.

"My boss-not you, other boss-has something he needs me to do," Peter said as the two entered the elevator and started heading down.

"What does he need done so quickly he's not letting you come to work?" Tony asked teasingly.

"I dunno," Peter responded, "but he actually pays me, so I think I owe him that much."

"You wound me."

Peter gave a short laugh. "I'll see you Monday Mr.Stark."

"Peter what did I say about calling me-"

Peter interrupted Tony as the elevator doors opened by shoving him out onto the floor. "Bye Mr. Stark!"

"Peter!"

The doors closed and Peter headed the rest of the way to the ground floor. He cheerily skipped the rest of the way home.

It wasn't every day Nick Fury had a job for him.

Tony entered the meeting room to see the Avengers seated around a table, Rogues and all. Nick Fury sat across from them, his face ever serious. "What'd I miss?" the billionaire asked.

"Nothing yet. We were about to start however, so sit," Fury started before addressing the rogues. "Stark has agreed to housing you all at the tower for the next three months. You'll be under house arrest during that time."

"Sounds fair," Steve said, nodding his approval.

"One of our conditions for this is letting a SHIELD agent stay with you for your first weekend here. If you don't let them stay or they see you causing trouble during this time, the house arrest time period will be extended," Fury continued, "we have someone selected already, and if you agree you'll be meeting them tonight."

"Again, fair," Steve said, "I'll be curious to see who you chose. You must be confident in this agent if you think they can hold back the Avengers."

"They'll do just fine."

"Come on Karen!" Peter called, rushing out to the car where his Uncle was waiting, "We'll be late!"

"We wouldn't be if you'd gotten up when I told you too!" Karen yowled back, launching herself in the air and landing on Peter's head.

The boy skidded into the SHIELD HQ parking lot and over to a typical looking black car. He opened the back car door and flung his bag inside before flopping onto the seat and slamming the door behind him. "Sorry I'm late," he panted.

His Uncle Fury turned back to look at him with a raised eyebrow. "You really should get more sleep you know. Won't oversleep during your afternoon naps."

Peter stuck out his tongue. "If I got enough sleep I wouldn't be taking naps."

"Exactly." Fury turned on the car and pulled out of the parking lot. Fury may seem rough and tough, but when it came to his family he was a softie. Well, Peter said family, but it was only legally and mentally. Peter had grown up around the director-his parents having worked at SHIELD-and once he'd gotten his powers he'd even been trained like a normal agent would be. Then when his Aunt May and Uncle Ben had died in a car crash, Fury had adopted him and cared for him like he would have his own child.

Peter loved his Uncle Fury but because of how close the two were the director never let the child go on any dangerous missions, and today was no different. He doubted anything could go wrong on this mission-which wasn't even really a mission, per se-but this was different. Today he'd get to meet the rogue avengers. Not only that, but he'd be their babysitter for the weekend. It made him proud that Fury thought Peter-an orphaned High school kid-had the ability to keep the Avengers out of trouble.

As the car pulled into the Stark Tower parking lot, Peter pulled his badge from his book bag. They parked and entered the tower before heading up to the penthouse.

As the elevator doors opened Peter heard Tony talking. "Peter's back? Did he forget something?" FRIDAY must have told him that Peter was here.

"Stark," Fury called, entering the room with Peter following close behind, "I brought the agent who'll be watching the Rogues this weekend. This is-"

"Peter?" Tony interrupted.

"Hi Mr. Stark!"

"But- wha-" Tony sputtered before sending Fury a confused look.

"He's the one best suited for the job. Besides, he gets mad if I don't give him a mission at least every other month."

"There's no reason to be paying me if you never give me any work to do!"

Fury just chuckled, shocking Tony. "Anyway, I'll leave it to you to introduce him to the rogues. Have fun Pete." Fury then entered the elevator.

"Bye Uncle Fury!"

"Farewell." The elevator doors closed and Peter turned to Tony.

"When I said I couldn't come to work this weekend, I didn't know what Fury wanted me to do."

"You're a SHIELD agent? And did you just call him 'Uncle Fury'?"

"Yep!" Peter said with a large smile, "Mind introducing me to the rogues now?"

Tony just shook his head. "Kid whenever I start to think I know you I find out something new. Alright, the rogues are on the floor below us. Let's get going."

"Alrighty-o!" Peter smiled and the two called up the elevator.

Peter was excited for the weekend ahead of him. After all, who else could say they got to babysit the avengers?
