Loki x Daughter!Reader (After Everything)
(I know none of you asked me to do this, but I'm bringing my oneshot Loki book into this book now. This way more people can read it! Who knows, I might give it more of a story line here than in that book.)
Everyone knew of Loki, the Norse god of mischief. He was always busy with his studies, plans to conquer Midgard, and practicing his magic. Only three people in all of the nine realms knew of Loki's secret. Loki knows he has a daughter but has done nothing to raise her, to be frank. Half the time he quite honestly forgets she's there because of how absent he is from her life. Thor knows of her, as well as Heimdall. The Avengers we're slowly introduced to the child by her Uncle Thor as he soon realized his brothers lack of care for her.
Though Thor is supposed to be the girl's Uncle, she has grown to know him more as her father. This was not because of Loki being locked away in S.H.I.E.L.D., but him truly not caring for the girl. She looked nothing like him, nor did she act anything like him. Her (H/C) hair and (E/C) eyes didn't seem to resemble Loki's in the slightest. He was disgusted by this, finding his child to resemble her Midgardian mother more than himself.
He, himself, has no clue how the woman even conceived a child of his, for he has no memory of her. Against his better judgment, he went to Dr. Banner to find the truth, only to receive a positive match. She was his. The mother had long since abandoned the girl with her uncaring father, not wanting to be near the Jotun any longer than she had to.
After Loki was given this information, he went into a long state of denial, in which he is still in. "She's a Midgardian, not a Jotun and certainly not an Asgardian, or a god." He'd say to himself and Thor. Thor, being the kind-hearted man he is, tried to convince his brother to take care of the child, but none of his attempts were successful. Loki would always reject the child as his own, denying the cold hard truth in front of him.
When she turned a year and six months, or eighteen months old, she'd began talking and walking around. Thor has taught her that Loki was her father and she'd walk over to Loki. After calling him 'papa' and trying to give him a hug around his leg, he'd walk away, grumbling to himself. (Y/N), a name that Steve and Tony helped 'Point Break' pick out, crawled herself back to her Uncle in tears. All she wanted was a hug.
After a week of being ignored by her father, the little girl stopped crying over it. She'd just walk back to Thor or Natasha and leave him alone the rest of the day. After awhile, she completely stopped trying to get near him. Thor would always cheered up the little girl by playing with her and telling her about his life on Asgard. Natasha on the other hand; she liked to tickle her into smiling. She adored seeing the little girl's pearly whites and hear (Y/N)'s innocent laugh.
This was how she grew up. Thor was her 'Father' and Natasha was like a 'Mother'. Everyone had a family relation to the girl, except her biological father. Tony, Steve, Clint, and Bruce were her Uncles. Pepper was her Aunt. Wanda and Pietro were Cousins. Natasha was her Mom. And Thor was her Dad. They were all one giant family, despite how crazy and different everyone is.
One day (Y/N) asks Natasha and Thor an important question. "Why doesn't Loki love me? He is my dad, right?" Natasha looks at Thor as he does the same. Thor kneels down to the (Y/A) girl. "Yes, he is your father, but... We do not know why he does not wish to be around you. Lady Natasha, do you have any ideas?" Natasha shakes her head. "I'm sorry sweetheart, but I don't know. He's just being, well, him."
The girl nods and looks down at her feet, feeling defeated. Her own parents didn't want her. 'Was there something wrong with her? Did she do something that they didn't like?' She would think to herself. She shook her head and looked at the two heroes in front of her. She then hugs them both as tightly as she could. "I love you guys. Thank you." Natasha and Thor smiled as the girl kissed their cheeks and walked towards her room.
"She's such a happy child. I don't understand how she could be related to Loki at all." Natasha stated aloud. Thor shrugged. "She may take after her Midgardian mother." Natasha nodded. "That's probably why he is so disgusted by her. I'd like to knock his lights out-" Thor then held Natasha's shoulder firmly, but not tight enough to harm her. "Don't." The Black Widow nodded and walked towards (Y/N)'s room.
While (Y/N) slept peacefully in her (F/C) bed, Natasha started to look through the old pictures you had drawn and all sorts of old memories. A stack of papers and a journal caught her attention. "Hmm?" Picking up the papers, she noticed a little girl holding a black, green, and gold man's hand, smiling. Underneath the picture was little names. A crudely spelt (Y/N) and Dad.
Natasha then looked at the next picture. This one had a little girl trying to hug the man, but he walked away with a frown. Then there was the most recent one. It was a detailed image of (Y/N) crying and reaching out to Loki, but his back was to her and a book was in his hand. In the background of the image, there were words lightly drawn around the girl's head. 'Worthless, Ugly, Unwanted' and many more.
The sight broke Natasha's heart. Walking over to the girl's bed, she gently placed a kiss on her forehead. "Good night sweetheart. I love you." She then walked out of the room and towards her own bedroom in Stark Tower. In the morning, Loki was going to have a rude awakening.
Pain was all she could feel. (Y/N) was kneeling in pain in front of her biological father. He never laid a finger on her, but his words were like daggers. He'd call her names, mock her, and threaten her, but what hurt her more was when he flatly stated his disgust in her. In real life, Loki never spoke a single word here, but in her nightmares. That was a very different story. As he spoke of his disgust in her one last time, she woke up in a cold ball of sweat. Tears were running down her face as she attempted to fall asleep once more.
In the morning, Natasha walked with Thor into (Y/N)'s room. They both tickled the girl until she woke up in a giggling fit. As she woke up, Natasha had kissed her head and walked out saying she'd be back in a bit. Thor stayed and helped the girl get ready for the day. It was a Saturday, so she didn't need to change out of her pajamas. (Y/N) then snuggled into Thor, looking for warmth. Thor chuckled and pulled her closer to himself, kissing her forehead.
Thor then whispered into his niece's ear, "Pop Tarts?" Almost immediately the girl popped up, smiling ear to ear. "Yes please!" Thor chuckled. "You are the only being I could share my Pop Tarts with." She giggled and nodded. They then excitedly head into the kitchen.
Natasha knocked on Loki's door, knowing full well he's in there reading per usual. "What do you want? I am busy at the moment." Natasha then pushed the door open roughly. "To busy to love and care for your child for (Y/A) years! Huh? Are you?! Last time I checked all you do is read and practice your magic. You could have easily placed the books down and held her in your arms! You could have hugged her, or spoke to her, but no. Magic, strength, and books are more important!"
Loki looked shocked by her words, but also agitated. "I do not know what you are speaking of. I do not have any children of my own." Natasha scoffed. "Yeah, because your brother and I have been raising her for you. You neglected to notice her existence. You have even forgotten her. You truly are cold-hearted." Venom lacing her words like a viper's fangs, each word sinking into Loki's flesh, tearing him up inside as the poison sinks in.
"Is she anything like me?" He asked in a slightly broken tone. Natasha tilted her head, confused on why he suddenly cared so much. "She's very smart and loves to learn new things. She loves to read books as well." "Does she have a name?" Natasha stopped walking and turned to him. "(Y/N)." Was all she said as she walked out of the room, leaving Loki to his thoughts. He then noticed three pieces of paper sitting on the foot of his bed. "What are these?"
After (Y/N) had her Pop Tart breakfast, she ran back to her room. She picked up one of her favorite books off of her dresser and began to read. She smiled to herself as her imagination took the wheel. She would spend hours imagining that she was in the stories she was reading.
Then she felt an unusual feeling crawl up her leg, but she paid no attention to it, thinking her leg hand just fallen asleep. She then had the feeling reach her hips and spread throughout the rest of her body. Standing up and stretching; she attempts to relieve herself of the strange feeling. She then begins to feel the room get much warmer and she started to get light headed, stumbling as she headed towards her bed. The extreme change in temperature caused the poor girl to pass out on the floor, her head hitting the floor with a loud thud.
No one heard (Y/N) fall, but J.A.R.V.I.S. saw it all happen. He quickly informed Tony, Thor, and Natasha of your state. They all came rushing in and gasped at the sight. There she was sprawled out on the floor. Her skin turning a light shade of blue and her body quickly becoming coated in her own sweat. Thor, knowing of the abilities of a frost giant, made sure that no one touched the girl.
"We have to do something! She's gonna die from the massive temperature shift!" Tony yelled, getting frustrated that he can't physically help her. "Man of Iron, we may have to get my brother to help her. He is the only one that can hold her in this state." Natasha immediately piped up. "He doesn't give a crap about his daughter. I highly doubt he'd save, even if her life is in danger like it is right now." Thor looked to the young girl, fearing for her life. "We must try something, Lady Natasha." She nodded. "Tony, have J.A.R.V.I.S. cool the room to a colder temperature. Thor, come with me. We're going to have a talk to your brother."
Tony nodded and began getting J.A.R.V.I.S. to cool the room down. Thor joined Natasha as they walked out of the room. "What makes you think he'll help her now, Lady Natasha?" Natasha kept walking but had a secret smile on her face. "I may have left him some convincing evidence when I went to talk to him this morning."
As they walked towards the god of mischief's room, Loki was sitting on his bed. His face held a look of sorrow. 'She's just a Midgardian. I don't know why I care so much.' He thought. 'I shouldn't be bothered by this one child's feelings. She isn't like me. She is human.' Loki then heard knocks on his door again. "Who is it?" He called out. Natasha opened the door and grabbed the jotun's arm. "(Y/N) needs your help."
Loki stays completely still, not moving an inch. "And why should I help her?" Natasha noticed the pictures on his bed, laying gently next to him. They had areas with droplets of water seeping through. Tears. He had cried when he saw them, most likely. "She is more like you than you might believe, Brother." Loki tilts his head to the side, confused. "What do you mean?" Natasha gritted her teeth in annoyance. Thor then quickly explained in three words. "She's part jotun."
His mouth was agape with shock. "There is no way that could be possible. She is too much like her mother, is she not?" Thor shook his head. "J.A.R.V.I.S.!" Natasha called. "Yes, Ms. Romanoff?" The A.I. responded almost instantaneously. "Show us the camera of (Y/N)'s room, please." The A.I. did as he was instructed and showed the three the live footage of her room. Her skin had turned a darker shade of blue then when Thor and Natasha had left the room. Loki's heart clenched. She truly was more like him than he originally conceived.
"Where are her personal quarters?" Loki asked, looking determined. Natasha then dragged him out of the room and into the hall, running towards the girls room. Thor quickly rushed behind them. As they opened the door to the room, everyone could immediately feel the frigidness. Tony sure did get it cold in here and fast.
Loki quickly ran over to the girl, holding her close as if on instinct. Her body was so cold, yet he was not bothered by it. Slowly his skin turned back to the color he so dreaded to see it turn. His eyes turning their natural, dark red. Magic surrounded Loki's hands as they were gently placed on the unconscious girl's head. Slowly, after maybe five or six minutes, the girl began to stir.
Her eyes soon fluttered open, revealing the same color as the man's that was holding her. She turned and noticed Thor, Natasha, and Tony, who were there watching everything play out, standing with relief on their faces. (Y/N) then looked down, noticing the odd coloring of her skin. She was about to get up and yell at Tony for playing a prank on her, but she felt two arms hold her closer to another body. Turning to face the owner of the arms, she saw none other than her biological father staring back at her. She could only tell it was him by his attire.
"What are you doing?" She asked weakly, attempting to get out of his arms. She wasn't very comfortable being near him. "I was... I was trying to help you. I-I'm sorry for what I have done to you. I never should have done such a horrible thing to you." He said, nearly crying into her shoulder. (Y/N) sat still, not knowing what to do in this situation. Loki then ran his ice-cold hand through her (H/C) locks, though her body didn't seem to have felt the frigidness that came with his contact."I promise this to you, my dear (Y/N). I will help you in this new form and I will treat you as I should have been before. As my daughter." Loki then hugged his daughter as close to him as he could.
Natasha was watching the scene, internally crying her eyes out. Thor had a tear fall and a large smile plastered to his face. And then there was Tony. He didn't believe this for one moment, but he didn't wanna ruin the moment for (Y/N), so he kept his sassy trap closed; for now.
"I love you, my dear."
"I never stopped loving you, Dad."
(And that's the end of the story! I hope you enjoyed!~ NamelessChibi)
