Bucky Barnes ✰ White Dress

A/N: Just a whole lotta fluff and 1940s Bucky ;)

To put it simply, your fiancé James Buchanan Barnes was your everything, so when you found out he was going to be shipped out to war within a week, you wanted to set a wedding date, but realised it would be too short of notice. Instead of stressing out over tiny details, the two of you decided not to waste your time and would rather spend every moment together.

Bucky smiled, enveloping you in his arms as you both laid on his couch, snuggled up together. It was a chilly day, and you were happy to just stay in his arms and laze about.

Bucky smiled, planting a soft kiss to your forehead, "I love you."

"I love you too, Buck," you flashed a small grin, cupping his face and kissing him sweetly, your lips moulding together as perfectly as they always had. You could feel Bucky smiling as you kissed, which only made you love him more.

"I want to go somewhere," Bucky stated, his blue eyes boring into your (y/e/c) ones as he reluctantly pulled away to rest his forehead on yours.

"Why?" You whined, cuddling into the crook of Bucky's neck, "I'm fine just here."

"So am I. There's just one thing I want to get done," he smiled dreamily, standing up and walking over to his wardrobe. You watched as he pushed countless clothing items aside, seemingly searching for something. When he stopped, your eyes lit up at the sight of the dress he was holding. It was a beautiful piece; white lace made up most of the bodice while the skirt, which went down to your feet, was a soft white material that puffed out and looked like it belonged on a princess.

"Oh my," you gasped, making your way over to where Bucky was standing, "It's gorgeous."

"It'll look even better with you in it," Bucky smirked lopsidedly as he saw the look on your face. This only caused you to blush.

"What do you say?" Bucky beamed.

"To what?" You questioned, knowing full well what he was going to say.

"Let's get married."

Three hours later, Bucky stood beside Steve at the chapel situated in the middle of town. By some miracle, there was no need to provide further notice, so a celebrant was provided immediately, and Steve had dropped everything to be by his best friend's side. Bucky waited anxiously in his tuxedo, his eyes gazing down the aisle, awaiting your arrival.
Within seconds, the bridal waltz began to play, signalling your presence. You began walking down the aisle, mentally admiring your dress. It hugged your figure perfectly, and looked absolutely flattering. You couldn't imagine a better dress for your big day.

When Bucky saw you, his jaw dropped and all of his attention was locked on you, a smile tugging on the edges of his lips. He thought you were the most beautiful human being on the planet, and you were going to be his.

As you took your place beside Bucky, you caught him looking at you from the corner of his eye as Steve smiled at you. The celebrant began the ceremony, and after what seemed like an eternity, you were finally (Y/N) Barnes.

"I now pronounce you man and wife. You may kiss the bride."

Without hesitation, Bucky pulled you to him, holding you by your hip and the small of your back, as the two of you engaged in a sweet, passionate kiss. Your threw your arms around your husband's neck, reluctantly pulling away when oxygen became scarce.

"I love you so much," you grinned, looking down at your new wedding ring.

"I love you more, Mrs Barnes."

Let's just say that when you looked over at Steve, he'd used up a box of tissues as he smiled at his two best friends.

Ahh, how fluffy. I love that gif I used way too much. Also, I've gotten some requests for fluff lately, so I hope this will suffice :) What the!? This book moved up 600 spaces within two days on the Fanfiction hot list, and I'm so happy :)))))
