Siege Of Asgard Pt.1 of 3

You join Hydra in an attack on a secret SHIELD base in Antarctica

SHIELD Storage Base, Antarctica
A heavy snowstorm battered the thick, metal walls of the base as a lone bobcat drove up, it's headlights hardly shining through the blanket of falling snow.

Once the bobcat stopped at the gate, a guard approach.

Guard: You have your credentials?

The driver dug through his cab.

Driver: Uh...nope.

Guard: What's your name?

Driver: What was it...oh yeah...headshot.

Guard: Excuse m-

The driver suddenly shot the guard in the head with a silent pistol, and pulled his body in the cab.

The driver then used the guards ID card to open the gate.

Driver: Those cameras better be off.

The driver drove into the base, through the main yard, and into an empty loading bay.

The driver exited the bobcat, and opened the back of it, revealing a squadron of Hydra soldiers.

Soldier: You did good, now comes the hard part.

Driver: Hard for you maybe, not my first time robbing SHIELD.

Hydra: Whatever big shot, what's your name anyway.

You: (V/N).

Hydra: That's your villain name?

You: Beats "generic Hydra soldier".

The other soldiers laughed.

Soldier: Alright, real funny. Now, do you remember what to do now?

You: Use the guard ID to get into the security check and open the vault. Team two deals with the guards in the vault.

Soldier: Alright, let's go. HAIL HYDRA!

Other Soldiers: HAIL HYDRA!

The soldiers looked at you, expecting you to say it.

You: (sigh)...Hail Hydra.

You ran ahead to the security checkpoint, and used the guard ID to open the door.

Inside was a single guard who had his feet up, eating a donut.

Guard: You here to give me my break?

You: More like a vacation.

The guard turned and saw the barrel of your pistol, which you fired and killed him.

You: A permanent one.

You pushed the guard out of his chair and took control of the vault controls.

You opened the vault, which caused the guard's radio to turn on while on his body.

You took the radio, and listened in.

Guard: This is vault security, what's going on? Why is the vault opening?

You: Janitor needs in there, toilet is clogged.

Guard: We don't have a toilet in here! Or a janitor!

You: Really? That's weird, there's some guys in green janitor outfits out here needing to get in right now.

Guard: Are you hi-wait...it's Hydra! Take offensive positions!

You dropped the radio and met with the Hydra soldiers at the vault door.

You: They know where coming.

Soldier: And that helps us how?

You: You'll see.

You entered the vault ahead of the Hydra soldiers, and were met with a squad of guards pointing their weapons at you.

You put your hands up, feigning surrender.

You: I give up, this looked like a foolproof plan on paper.

Guard: Drop your weapon!

You: But my girlfriend gave this to me! Well...ex girlfriend.

Guard: Drop it!

You: Why do you want my gun? There's a really cool one right behind you.

The guards turned, and saw a large, blue lighted cannon pointed at them, held by another Hydra soldier.

You: See? That's way cooler.

The soldier fired the cannon, which turned the guards to dust.

You: Wow...those Asgardian weapon's really work.

The guard holstered the cannon, and stepped aside, where a foreboding figure walked past him.

You: Hey boss.

Red Skull

Skull: Hello, My protege.

You shook hands with Skull as the soldiers gathered around.

Skull: I trust my men were good company.

You: They're great soldiers, not good at conversation.

Skull: As they are expected to be.

Skull turned to his soldiers.

Skull: Take everything of value. I and (V/N) are going to find the target of our raid. Now move!

The soldiers moved quickly to secure all the valuables in the vault.

Skull looked at you.

Skull: Let us go find our prize.

You: Lead the way boss.

You followed Skull deeper into the vault, into a high tech storage room guarded by a laser grid.

Within the room was a large set of steel doors on the opposite end of the entryway, seemingly holding your target.

You: This is a lot of security, what's it all for?

Skull attached a device to the card reader of the lasers.

Skull: A weapon forged by gods.

The device lit up, and the laser grid suddenly dropped.

You: Oh...nice.

Skull: This is a mere gadget compared to the rest of our arsenal.

Skull threw the device over his shoulder and walked into the room, with you close behind them.

Skull: Tell me, my protege, what do you know of Norse Mythology?

You: Bits and pieces, Thor and Loki are the only names I really know.

Skull: Have you ever heard of a weapon forged by Odin himself?

You: What? A sword?

Skull: No, not a simple sword, something much more powerful.

Skull reached a handprint reader and pulled a dismembered hand from his coat, which was accepted by the scanner.

You: Um...

Skull: I borrowed it from a guard, he won't miss it.

Skull threw the hand to the side as the doors opened.

Skull: As I was saying, Odin did not forge a weapon, he forged...a being.

You: Huh?

Skull: He forged a monster only operable by one's soul, an unstoppable machine that could conquer the earth.

The doors opened to reveal what Skull was speaking of.

Destroyer

You: Woah.

Skull: Indeed, now we must find someone to operate it.

Skull looked at you with a foreboding smile as you looked at the powerful armor.
