Next up is actually a sneak peak of one of the story ideas I pitched in one of my 'New Story' author's notes. It was the one where Tony and Pepper found a blonde Loki in Rhodey's room. Anyway, I hope you enjoy~

Robert followed Carol down the long, painted hallways, Chris and Benedict following closely behind, all three on high alert, their hearts pounding with anxiety. "Hurry along, my magic won't be able to hold the connection for longer than five minutes," the blonde interrupted, slicing the nervous silence like a knife.

"What kind of magic, exactly?" Chris piped up from behind Downey. 

"Portal magic," Benedict responded instantly. "It's a type of sorcery that enables the user to transport up to five beings across long distances through teleportation methods. Depending on the sorcerer or sorceress power, these teleportations can be efficiently used for transportation between dimensions." 

"Damn Cumberbatch, you did it again," Downey spoke, shooting a glance at the British actor. 

"So I did," he responded, although the words were more to himself. 

"The changes are becoming more frequent," Carol joined in. "My power can't hold off the change forever. It's going to happen eventually, which is why there are some people I want you to meet."

She led them over to a steel door, before she pushed the deadbolt aside and opened it, instructing the trio to enter.

Inside was nothing special - it was a fully white room, with nothing but six foldable chairs in the center and another steel door adjacent to the other on the opposite side of the room.

"So . . . we're supposed to meet who here, exactly?" Robert asked Carol as they entered.

"You'll see," she said plainly, before walking over to the other door to start to open it.

Benedict, Evans, and Robert all sat down in three of the six chairs, crossing their legs and bouncing their knees impatiently as the woman struggled with the lock on the other door. 

Downey was busy staring down at the ground, his mind a jumbled mess, as it normally wasn't - he wasn't accustomed to these sudden changes, and he still wasn't sure he was liking them, even if they were making him smarter, per say. What's the point of all this, why is this happening to us?

What scared him, was the fact that he didn't know the answer to that. He somehow knew how to calculate the velocity of high-speed advanced technology structures, and yet he couldn't figure out what the hell was happening to the cast.

He hadn't realized other people had entered the room until Evans spoke up from beside him.

"What the fu-"

Carol was quick to cut him off just as Downey looked up to find three other figures sitting in the three other chairs. "Robert, Chris, Benedict, I would like you all to meet Anthony Edward Stark, Dr. Stephen Strange, and Steven Grant Rogers." 

The famous actor was shook from head to toe in shock, and he struggled not to fall of his chair, as he stared straight into the eyes of himself. 

She turned to the other three. "Tony, Strange, Steve, I would like you three to meet these nice gentlemen, Robert Downey Jr, Chris Evans, and Benedict Cumberbatch." 

Tony Stark turned to stare at his double, causing Robert to suddenly feel very small. Benedict spoke up on from the other side of Downey, his voice cracking with shock. "Who the bloody hell are you guys?"

Stark smirked, his brown eyes glistening as he averted his gaze from Robert to Cumberbatch. "We're the goddamn Avengers."
