Prepare for the feels.

There was a storm going on outside. You were curled up in a ball in the corner of your bedroom at the Avengers HQ with tears going down your face.

It was 2am, sweat and tears slid down your face. You woke up from a nightmare so you crawled to the corner where you now were.

Being an assassin was never easy.

Since the age of 8 you, Y/N Romanova and you your sister Natalia Romanova aka Natasha Romanoff were sent to a school where you were both trained to kill. After your ceremony you were sent off to Hydra where they took the habit of what they referred to as "cleaning your brain" quite frequently.

And in your time in Hydra you've killed many people unwillingly and after all this time the guilt caught up to you in your dreams.

You heard a light knock on your door.

"Go away!" You shouted. Whomever was on the other side did t listen and opened the door.

A flash of lightning lit up the room and you saw the former Winter Soldier standing there also known as your best friend Bucky Barnes.

You heard footsteps and a switch. Your lamp on your nightstand lit up. Bucky looked at you. He came over to you to comfort you.

"No get away from me!" You snapped as tears slid down your face. He stopped in his place. He was shocked but repressed that feeling as he sat next to you on the floor.

"You know I'd never leave you especially when your like this." He said in a calm tone but his eyes gave away how worried he was about you. "What's wrong?"

You leaned your head on his nonmetal shoulder.

"I'm a monster." You stated, your voice cracking at the end. It broke Bucky's heart.

"No your not." He told you. You lifted your head and leaned it against the wall. Bucky looked down at you.

"I am Buck! I've killed so many people. Innocent people." You sobbed covering your face with your fists. Bucky grabbed both of your hands with his flesh and metal one. You looked up at him.

"Don't you do that! Don't you dare put yourself down like that, do you understand me? It wasn't you Y/N. You hear me? That wasn't you. It wasn't you it was HYDRA! You are so beautiful Y/N, yes you're flawed we all are but I know....the team knows just how much of a good person you are. So please....don't lie and say you're a monster....I've seen monsters and you're far from it."

You sat there frozen to the spot staring into his dark blue eyes. His eyes softened. Bucky lifted his hand and lightly wiped the stray tear on your face. Your mouth left slightly agape.

Caught up in the moment Bucky spilled something he wish he hadn't.

"I love you." He whispered. Bucky instantly regretted the words that left his lips. It seemed to snap you out of the trance you were in before.

"What?" You asked in a hushed tone. Bucky felt his face heat up.

Before you could comprehend what was happening Bucky cupped your face with his hands. You shivered at the feeling of Bucky's cold hand on your face before his warm lips met yours.

You melted into the kiss, returning it. Cautiously you lifted your hands and rested them on his neck.

After a minute you both slowly pulled apart.

"I love you too." You told him. He smiled before pulling you for another kiss.
