Steve's P.O.V.

"Hello ma'am I'm Steve Rogers and I would like to ask you out. " I say into the mirror above my sink. " Gah! I look stupid I can't do this I look stupid." I walk away from the mirror and out the bathroom. " Hey Steve are you okay?" Natasha asked with a look of concern. "I...no I need your help." I felt embarrassed to ask her."Sure whats up?" I led her away from the others."I'm trying to 'ask out' Y/N but the times have changed so much I don't know what to do." I let out a sigh. " I got you covered Steve." I breathed out a sigh of relief and followed her to an office. " So tell me what you like about her." I started to mess with my fingers. "She's smart, beautiful, kind words can not describe how she effects me." Natasha simply smiles at me."Your in love Steve." That totally explains my feelings for Y/n. " But how will I tell her? Back in my time dating a black woman was highly looked down on." I ran fingers through my hair as I thought. " You get ready and I will take care of everything."
🔪🔪 Natasha's P.O.V. 🔪🔪

Clint and I basically ran around the whole tower to get Y/n's surprise ready. We also had Pietro help set up the ribbons , then in a couple minutes Steve will be in position. The last thing to do is to go find Y/n. Knowing her usual places that's where I go. " Hi Nat what's up?" She asked when she saw me. I leaned on the door way. " So there is a surprise waiting for you but you have to find it." She nods then puts the batter away. " The first clue is in your room." She washed her hands and left the kitchen.

I went straight to my room to find a ribbon going to my closet and a note on my bed , I decided to read the note first. ' Dear Y/n in order to find your surprise you need to look in your closet then put on the dress and that's where your next clue is.' I put the note back on my bed then follow the ribbon to my closet, I open the door to see a little black dress.

I as I was about to put it on another note slipped out. 'Dear Y/n this is note #2 Your next clue is follow the ribbon out your door.' With note in hand I walk out my door and follow the f/c ribbon. Twists and turns I follow the piece of fabric till it stopped at a glass door. I open the door and look around. "Y/n you made it !" A nervous Steve walked up to me. " You look gorgeous in that dress..not that you were never gorgeous ! I'm just saying......I look stupid." He sighed disappointed. "Steve you put this all together for me ?" I asked him with a smile. He nodded with his head down. " Thank you Captain it was fun." I hugged the blushing soldier. " Y/n I really like you and I wanted to know if you want to go on a date?" I could hear his heart going a mile a minute. "I would love to Steve."
