Paperwork was a large part of your job and taking it home to finish it wasn't an uncommon occurrence for you but this time it was far more than normal. You had filled the backseat of your car with folders and files that needed to be sorted through and filled in. Once they were in your apartment, you had lost the use of your coffee table and one of the seats of you sofa due to the all of the paperwork and it seemed that all your free time had gone with it too.

That night you had worked into the early hours of the morning and throughout the next day, but the piles of paperwork didn't seem to lessen by any substantial amount. By the time night had come around again, your girlfriend Wanda tried to encourage you to leave the work until morning to allow you to get some sleep and relax. You tried to follow her advice and go to bed but you weren't able to rest. No matter how you tried to close your eyes and get some sleep, you were far too caught up thinking about the work that needed to be done so ended up giving up with trying to get sleep and headed back to do paperwork.

In the morning, Wanda found you in the middle of your folders and offered you a pitiful smile, wanting to help you but having no way to do so.

"Please Y/N," Wanda said softly. "Leave the paperwork and take a break. Even just half an hour to clear your head and not stay stuck in a work rut that you are going to end up losing yourself to."

You wished you could have just ignored the work you needed to do and get on with your work however you had so much that needed to be done and you didn't want to put it all off when it would need to get done at some point.

"I can't."

Yesterday, Wanda would have accepted that and let you continue working before begging you to stop in an hour or two and letting the cycle continue. However now she had realised reasoning with you would be impossible and she needed to take action as you weren't going to.

"You can," she frowned. "You're coming with me."

She grabbed your arm and seen as you were so tired and drained, you let her lead you into the bedroom and onto the bed you had missed the night before. Once you were both on the bed, Wanda wrapped you up in her arms and held you close until you drifted off to sleep.
