Peggy Carter- Honeymoon (c)

Although it wasn't legal for two women to be married, you had never been one to take the law ahead of morals. You loved Peggy with all of your heart and even if it wouldn't be formal or legal for the two of you to marry, a small ceremony didn't hurt anyone. Only friends and family were invited to what was your wedding in a friend's garden and it was perfect as it gave some truth to the relationship that you were beyond happy in.

To make it seem even more real, the two of you had arranged a honeymoon to her home of England, getting two weeks to show you around London before you were to head back to America and pretend you weren't a couple. You wished that on your honeymoon, you could show affection in public to your new wife, but whilst in your hotel room you could make up for it.

On one day of your honeymoon, Peggy suggested a walk-through Regent's Park, somewhere she had frequented when living nearby but it was a new place for you. You desperately wanted to hold onto her hand and enjoy the pleasant summer breeze as you walked through the park, but just walking by her side, allowing your fingers to brush as your arms swung had to be enough.

You stopped your walk after a while, taking a seat on an old tartan blanket that you had brought with you, and let the tree you sat by help block the view of the others in the park, to try and offer you some privacy with the woman you loved.

"I love you," you smiled, speaking in a hushed tone. "I couldn't imagine anything more perfect than this honeymoon."

Peggy smiled fondly back at you, letting her fingers lace with yours on top of the blanket, glad to take the risk of others seeing you, just to have a close moment with you.

"Any time with you is perfect," she admitted.

Nothing stood in your way of being happy with the woman that you loved more than life; the law, prejudice of others and worry couldn't stop you from being happy with Peggy. This was your honeymoon, not that you could admit that to anyone else, and you were more than willing to enjoy it, even through the simple pleasures that came when you loved someone.

The two of you sat under the tree for a while and shared the simple picnic that you had brought before you continued on walking around the park and appreciating the beauty of nature and the woman you loved.
