Loki Laufeyson- Ritual (c)
When you first met Loki, you never thought that he was actually a god, rather someone with delusions that you couldn't explain but it turned out that both were true. Luckily for him, your morals were far from perfect, so you were more than happy to let him live with you and plan all the terrible things that he wanted. You didn't want to really partake in them but seen as he struggled terribly living on what he referred to as Midgard, you were mainly just there to gather him supplies and make sure that he didn't starve.
Since he ended up moving in with you, Loki had spent most of his times reading through books about Asgardian rituals and had found one he wanted to complete. He had explained what he wanted it for, but you didn't care enough to listen to him. Most of what he wanted to do was too hard when stuck on Midgard and needed ingredients and items that he would be unable to obtain, so had found something that he deemed plausible.
"I'm going to head to the store," you stated, putting your bag strap onto your shoulder. "You said you needed me to grab some things for that ritual thing."
"It calls for a ferocious beast," he said firmly. "I have been using your google contraption to research what you Midgardians deem as beasts."
You let out a laugh. You took too much joy in his ignorance of everything that you deemed normal, to be able to explain it all to him.
"And which beast are you expecting me to find at Walmart?" You asked.
"Well, your beasts are not nearly as admirable as those we have upon Asgard, but I think I have found one that will do the job just fine."
You ran a hand through your hair, losing your patience with him and just wanting to get your errands over and done with.
"Just tell me what you need from the store?"
"All I need is a kitten and a big glass of lemon iced tea," he demanded.
A laugh escaped you again. "Pardon?"
"Well, the creature you call a kitten seems perfect with its finger knives and you have made me quite fond of lemon iced tea, it is not for the ritual but just as a pleasant beverage," he explained.
Your eyes rolled. "I can get you the iced tea and we can talk about getting a kitten, but you are not sacrificing it."
