Loki Laufeyson- Marry (c)

Your nerves had been getting the better of you for too long. You had worked as a servant in the palace of Asgard for a while when the youngest prince started to notice you. You had done your best to stay under the radar, never to be seen or heard as was expected of you but no matter how much you tried, it had started to seem as though he was seeking you out. There was only so much you could do to fight it before you accepted a full conversation with him.

It was terrifying to you, especially when you realised how well you got along and how happy you seemed to make each other. Even though you knew it wasn't right, when he kissed you, you kissed him back and you didn't regret it. Things continued until you were courting, not that either of you told anyone, instead you snuck around his family and the other servants to be able to spend time together. You hated hiding but you knew that his family wouldn't accept him being in love with a servant, so it was the best thing for everyone. That was until he asked you to marry him.

"We cannot be wed," you whispered, your heart breaking from your own words. "We couldn't be together if your family were to know of us. They would forbid you to ever speak to me again and I would lose my job, if not my life."

Loki cupped your cheek with his hand, offering you a gentle and sympathetic smile. He knew how hard this had been for you, how small and insignificant you had felt in comparison to him in worth, but he wasn't willing to hide how much he loved you anymore and if his parents and brother disagreed with that, then he didn't care.

"I do not care what they think," he stated. "I only care that I love you and you love me, and I want the world to know that I want you to be my wife and I will have you by my side until my dying breath. I swear I will protect you with my life."

"But you could lose your family, they could disown you if they forbid this union," you said.

He rested his forehead against yours. "I do not care. I love you and I will not let anyone else get in the way of that. As long as you wish to be my wife, then we shall be wed. Do you want to marry me?"

You nodded your head. "More than anything."

"Then we shall be married with or without anyone's blessing."
