Clint Barton- Stars (c)
Living in an old farmhouse did have its own problems when it came to going out and spending time with your husband. You lived practically in the middle of nowhere and if you wanted to go on a date night, you'd have to turn it into an overnight ordeal to justify the drive to anywhere remotely decent. Having lived there for a while, you had learnt how to make the most of dates in your home or on your property.
For that night, the two of you headed out walking the fields of land you owned until you could no longer see the house where you lived anymore. Clint unfurled the blanket that he had tucked on top of the picnic basket and threw it out onto the grass. The two of you shared the picnic that you had made for your dinner along with sharing a bottle of wine, having quickly decided to discard the glasses that kept falling down on the uneven floor, so settled on swigging from the bottle. By the time you had finished eating and drinking, along with chatting and laughing, the sun had gone down leaving you in darkness.
You looked up to the moon that was waning along with all of the stars that twinkled brightly in the sky. You had grown up in the city and rarely got to see more than one or two stars a night due to light pollution, so you had grown fond of the busy sky your nights offered now.
The cool breeze bit at your skin, giving you reason to snuggle closer to your husband to try and fight it. Clint moved back to lay down onto the blanket, pulling you down with him so that you could curl up to his side with your head on his chest.
"I don't think I could ever move back to the city after seeing the sky out here," you smiled fondly.
"It is amazing."
You let out a content sigh, mentally reminding yourself to look more into constellations so that you could appreciate what you were looking at.
"It's just so beautiful."
Clint chuckled, his chest rumbling under your head. You looked up to him and could see the cheeky smile on his face which meant he was either going to tell a terrible joke or say something cheesy. He was never known to disappoint.
"Not as beautiful as you."
